   As I have some few superb products from Chantecaille (their Lip Veils are fantastic for example), and as I had the chance the get a huge discount on this foundation, I gave it a try.
   As you can see in my profile pic I am very fair, so I chose the shade ‘Porcelain’.

   The first thing I don’t like so much is the package. It is a little pot with a lid, and getting that tight lid of is not exactly comfortable without spilling half the foundation everywhere. Also, for practical and hygiene reasons I am not a fan of pot foundations.
   The colour was a perfect fit for me, the consistency of the foundation is a mix between gel and cream. It looks like a cream but if you apply it you see it is more of a gel consistency.
   On perfectly primed skin the foundation goes on very well, spreads easily with a blender and application feels pleasant.
   My skin is luckily very clean and small pored but even I have to say coverage of this is almost zero. You just get a hint of colour, but almost no coverage. I have two very small, very light beauty patches on my forehead and cheek and it didn’t even really cover those with two applications.
   Shortly after application it looks a bit uneven but after some minutes it settles into the skin. As I am 40 my skin is rather on the dry side (not extremely dry, but it does need moisture and oils) and as this foundation is not very moisturizing I can’t even put setting powder above it as it just gets too dry and you can see every little line on the face.
   I do have some fine lines especially around the eyes and it doesn’t do much positive for that area especially. There are just not enough moisturizing/filling components in this and when I smile this foundation even accentuates my lines around the eyes – don’t like that at all.
   Also this foundation does not have any SPF, which I simply expect from a foundation.
   Funny thing is, I have the Chantecaille ‘Just Skin’ tinted moisturizer and that is so much better. It has SPF, in the shade ‘Alabaster’ it just gives me a little more healthy complexion, it is moisturizing and refining the skin and still just look nude and like you don’t wear any makeup. And it comes in a practical, very nice tube.
   The foundation on the other side, no coverage, the messy pot with the lid, not moisturizing, a little patchy, and bringing out fine lines even.
   As I said I got this at a super bargain price (normal retail is between 100-120$ – with a gift voucher plus an offered discount I got it for 32$) but the real retail price for this is a bit of a joke.
   I normally use Korean cushion foundations, you can get them for around 15$, and they do a way better job in every aspect, coverage, which you can individually direct from nude to full coverage, moisturizing, and especially the final look after applying.

   The Chantecaille foundation is maybe best suited for younger women up to 25 maybe, with clear skin, who still have no wrinkles and full moisture in their skin. They can certainly use it as ‘no makeup’-look skin refiner. But as soon as you have any fine lines and dryer skin I can not recommend this.
   I’m sorry to have to give this just two lippies, but with that extemely high price, the unfortunate packaging and the poor results, it’s justified.

   I purchased Future Skin a couple of days ago in Ivory. I was looking for a sheer foundation that mostly just brightened my skin and gave it a healthy glow. I have aging skin with some dry areas and some large pores around my nose and many foundations now are so high in silicones they just sit in the pores and I have to aggressively use a foundation brush to smooth them out. I’m not sure about the color at this point. I’m normally more tanned at this point in summer than I am now, but I have pale skin with lots of freckles so I don’t ever get a golden tan—I just get a deep pink glowing look. The Ivory is a cool, pink toned shade that might be too dark for me in a month or so when I’m not being exposed to sunshine. I might have to exchange it for the Alabaster. The texture is gel-like. It’s very easy to apply on bare skin or with a primer or just a moisturizer depending on the look you’re going for. It’s just glides right on. My only caveat is the price. Ouuuch. $78 for an ounce? It’s extremely high and I’d rather not spend this kind of money on foundation. Still with Laura Mericer reformulating their TM and Lancôme discontinuing both their cushion foundation and the Bienfait BB line, I don’t have a lot of other choices.

   I’m definitely going to return this. Ivory is turning orange on my skin after an hour or two and it’s just overall too dark for me. The formula also might be breaking me out in tiny clogged pores on my nose and forehead.

   10/21/19 I ended up keeping the jar in Ivory. I think the moisturizer I was using contributed the oxidation of the formula. I changed moisturizers and the color seems pretty spot-on for now. the formula is very elegant and can be applied to be a light foundation or can be layered for more medium coverage.

   This is the best fluid foundation I have ever used. Also the most expensive. I have an oil prone combination skin with very enlarged pores and dont usually bother with liquid foundations as they make my skin look worse due to the pore size. Mac studio tech powder foundation, applied thinly on select areas only has been my HG for years. As I am now ageing and my skin does not look quite as good as it used to (some pigmentation now) I wanted to try this foundation as gel type products generally work for me. I have a medium neutral skin and the shade Nude works really well giving a natural slightly tanned look which I like. It sinks into the skin and you really do not feel it which is incredible, gives medium coverage without making the skin look unnatural and when I take it off in the evening my skin feels good, not like it has been under a chemical attack all day. In short, a beautiful foundation. If it only were a bit more affordable!!! The only other liquid foundation I have ever liked was the discontinued Eve Lom oil free foundation which was slightly thicker but likewise melted into the skin and made your skin look natural but more perfected. If anyone knows of any other foundation like the Future Skin but with a lower price tag, please do say!

   Edit- i had to go back to Armani Luminous Silk because Future skin is way too dry on my chin. I get dry patches were it just looks so bad and no matter what cream i use it just doesnt look good. Chanel VLA looks more flawless and smooth all over, better shade match and cheaper. Sorry Chantecaille its a no on repurchasing for me.

   Reason- I was in search for a foundation to replace my Vitalumiere Aqua by Chanel. The Chanel foundation has alcohol as the 2nd ingredient also containing parabens so it was def something i wanted to change in my foundation routine. I find that the Future Skin and Chanel VLA are very similar in performance and results.

   Shade- I use 20beige in VLA, Mac nc20 and in Chantecaille i was matched with Alabaster. Most of the shades were quite peachy on me and Alabaster was the closest i can find while it still leans a bit peachy. I am light olive so most foundations tend to be warmer on me anyways.

   Application – The Future Skin foundation dries quicker on application than VLA. I also find that using my fingers or a stippling brush are the 2 best techniques with this foundation. I rub this in with fingers like i would with a moisturizer or i dip my Mac 130 Stippling brush into the pot and swirl it onto the face. This foundation blends like a gel so if its used over a heavy oil based cream moisturizer, it can be patchy. I suggest an oil free gel like moisturizer as a base for easier and smoother application(i use Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel). Or a silicone-y primer would be best. Once its set, It really does look like second skin. It feels weightless while being very easily buildable. I usually would just add more to areas i need more coverage. It is really sheer so if you need medium coverage, this wont work.

   Packaging -A lot of people hate the packaging because it can be very unsanitary. I myself dont mind it because with a pot packaging, i can use every last drop of the product and nothing is wasted. I do wish it came in a glass jar instead of plastic and preferrably a spatula. Oh well. I just make sure i clean my brush or hands before dipping into the pot. It makes me want to use it up more and finish it before it expires.

   Longevity/performance- This stays on the skin and makes me less oily than the Chanel. Which is why i prefer the Chantecaille. I dont need to set with powder and i love how it literally applies like a gel cream moisturizer and is cooling on the skin while having super comfortable wear. I have minor acne scarring and redness. This does a decent job on evening my skintone but it wont cover acne or freckles. Stays put all day with 8 hour wear. I do very minimal blotting very rarely. It smooths the skin and never make bronzer or blush blotchy or patchy on top. It does not make me feel or look greasy while balancing my skin. My skin looks like healthy, even and smooth. This is the type of foundation that looks better the longer i wear it. Be aware that It may look rough when first applied but you have to give it some time to really melt into the skin.

   Conclusion- I love lightweight sheer foundations that evens out skin, so if you are someone like me i think you will enjoy this. I also have combo skin with oily tzones and dry everywhere else. The foundatin sits really nicely while feeling comfortable on the skin and is less detectable than Chanel VLA.

   This is an excellent foundation. My color Is vanilla and it matches beautifully, and I have a terrible time getting matched. This foundation does not change/oxidize at all and does last all day without using any primers. My skin can be combo, it is very sensitive and reactive as I am on chemo and I am over 50. This foundation is very soothing to my skin, no redness or breakouts at all! I do not get t-zone or cheek oiliness I also did not notice transfers when i use the phone either. The big plus is that it does NOT settle into pores or fine lines, it does blur them, hallelujah!!
   The best application method I have found is using a Sigma beauty flat kabuki brush. I lightly dip the brush in the pot then redistribute using the inside of the cap and then quickly stipple then buff. I can get almost full coverage with this method, I use a very tiny amount so this pot is going to last quite a while!
   I am okay with how the product is packaged. I feel the price is fair for the amount and quality of the product; I have spent far more and gotten far less in terms of performance and quality.
   This product just melts into and becomes your skin. I find the finish to be very natural. I have worn Omorovicza moisturizer as well as Trish McEvoy Beauty oil as a base and did not have any performance/application issues with the foundation.
   I don’t notice any scent in this product. It washes off without any hard scrubbing.
   Overall this is the best foundation I have used in a long time and it makes me enjoy my make up again!

   Alabaster – my holy grail in terms of color and feeling and effectiveness. This doesn’t break me out – in fact, I feel as though it actually improves my skin, which is insane for me when it comes to a foundation and my easily sensitized skin that reacts easily in redness and blemishes! I hope they never change the formulation. I’m on my 3rd jar since I bought my first one in December 2017 – it lasts a long time. Only cons – I don’t like the jar although I do appreciate that it allows me to get every last drop. It is not for carrying. And it’s VERY expensive. Lastly, it can be problematic for me wearing it in the summertime when it’s very humid as the moisturizing properties tend to great some shine and causes some slippage if outdoors a lot.
   This is the best foundation I’ve ever used and don’t mind shelling out for it.

   I am on my second or third jar (it lasts such a long time it’s hard to remember). Alabaster is a perfect match for me. The magic of this product is that you can’t tell it’s on, you just look like your parents mated with an angel and you inherited such amazing skin from your celestial forebears. I have dry skin (but otherwise very good) and I take care to moisturize and prime before dotting this on and either using my fingers or a flat brush to smooth it out. It doesn’t settle into lines, it’s not cakey, and there’s no overwhelming scent. You can leave it as is for a dewy finish or apply loose powder to set it for a matte finish.

   I thought I’d never get over the loss of the original version of Lingerie de Peau, but truthfully this is much better than that one ever was.

   Ask for samples from the SA – getting the right color is critical.

   Skin background: Comb/oily, acne scarring, sensitive/ reactive, large pores in the Tzone, fair with warm undertones.
   OVERALL RATING: 3/5
   COVERAGE: This is by no means a full coverage foundation. At most you will get a light-medium coverage when applied with fingers or brush. And not many brushes work with this- it need to be dense and cleaned often.
   FINISH: The finish is what makes this foundation great. I haven’t ever found any other foundation with such a skin like finish; it completely blurs my pores and I love how I am complimented on how beautiful my skin looks as apposed to my foundation.
   TEXTURE: Just like the name it does have a jelly type texture
   SCENT: Because of the botanicals in this it has a fresh herbal scent
   SPF: none
   LASTING POWER: not the best, I do have to touch up quite a bit. Probably a good 4 hours and I am pretty oily
   SHADES: sadly the makeup is lacking a bit with this foundation. Porcelain was the right undertone for me but it was just way too fair. Alabaster was the closest match I could find but it is a tad too neutral for me.
   DID THIS BREAK ME OUT?: nope!
   PACKAGING: This is the one bad thing about this product. While the jar it comes in is very adorable it is just incredible unhygienic and impractical.
   WOULD I REPURCHASE?: yes!
   FINAL VERDICT: if you can afford to give it a try, I say go for it. But there are definitely more affordable options that are just as good.

   Aime ça! Va super lisse, aide à hydrater ma peau et ne me sort pas. Couverture légère, mais vous pouvez en ajouter davantage pour une meilleure couverture. La finition est naturelle et dure toute la journée. J’ai déjà acheté 3 fois

    Always on the hunt for an exciting new foundation, I attended a Chantecaille “artist” make-up session. (I had used their tinted moisturiser, Just Skin but found it too thick and caused break-outs).

    Camomile was chosen for my quite fair, neutral to slightly warm skin. Looked good in the store and felt good. I bought it. Unfortunately I had to return the product as the colour he chose was wrong, too orange. I ended up with Vanilla which is still a bit too dark so I will be using it up before winter sets in. I like the product but feel (on me at least) it must be mixed with moisturiser to avoid streaking – or at least over a good primer, which I don’t use every day – yes I know I should. Future Skin oxidises considerably on me.

    The make-up artist likened the product to Giorgio Armani’s Lasting Silk which I mentioned was my favourite and HG for some years. I don’t believe it is a fair comparison in my case as FS is much harder to apply. The packaging on Future Skin is average and would be better in a tube, similar to Just Skin. However I will return to Lasting Silk.
