This is the first foundation I’ve tried from Suqqu which I am not going to rush out to buy. This was a Christmas present from my lovely boyfriend who knows my obsession with Suqqu. Usually, all the foundations I’ve tried from them in the past have amazed me in terms of coverage, longevity, and natural finish. This latest one is neither of those things. I wore it yesterday for a romantic dinner, and by the time I went to use the restroom, so just about 4 hours into our date, everything on my face was shiny and the foundation had already worn off my nose and chin, so there was an unpleasant contrast between my T-zone and the rest of my face. I also didn’t find it nearly as moisturizing as the Suqqu cream foundation I bought two years ago, which I sincerely hope will not be discontinued in favor of this new catastrophe. I can usually wear the lightest and second shade in the range, but this second shade in the range was too yellow toned and warm for my complexion. The application was not easy or smooth with my Artis brush or fingers. There were lots of cakey looking patches near my nose and it caught in some dry patches on my forehead. While I was really looking forward to using this richer foundation, I didn’t find it to be more moisturizing than the previous version. In fact, it seemed more oily and greasy, but in the way where it just sits around and sloshes on top of your skin without any particular esthetic or skincare benefit. Overall, a huge letdown for me.
