I purchased this in the shade of Classic Ivory, thinking that it would be comparable to Cover Girl’s Ivory Shade.
Wrong. Something about Maybelline’s foundations (With the exception of Fit Me!) causes them to have an orange overcast even before application. This was no exception.
The finish was not dewy. More like tacky and greasy. Unless you have really dry skin, I don’t recommend it.

I have very dry, flakey skin with acne scars. This smoothes everything out and covers everything, while still looking somewhat natural. For some people this may look dewy, but on my dry skin it’s more like a satin finish. The only complaints I have is with the packaging and the color selection. It’s looks like a compact, but instead of flipping open it’s a twist off and it’s very bulky. The top compartment flips up and holds a sponge, but no mirror. Now for the color selection. I am around NC 15 so fair to light with warm undertones. The lightest shade looks alright on me when I put it on maybe a little pinkier than I would like, but then oxidized on me. It’s not too bad that it’s unbearable I just have to make sure to blend it all the way down my neck. Every other foundation has made my skin look flakey and dry and this is the only one that makes it look alright, so I will deal with the slight color differences because I love the coverage and the formula. Try this out if you have very dry skin and need good coverage it lasts pretty much the whole day on dry skin when used with a good setting spray.

This is BOMB. I wear this is the shade Nude Beige 180, but I don’t use it as a foundation. I love to use this as CONCEALER. it’s thick enough to give good coverage like any redness and pimples, but it feels light. Then I use the Sephora Airbrush Foundation over it. Flawless even coverage. I always have a back-up of both. HG combo together.

I love the feeling of this product on my skin. The mousse keeps me from having to wear powder on top of foundation. I just can’t find a perfect shade. I am an NC 40 (winter) NC 42 (SUMMER) in MAC. PLEASE help me with suggestions on finding the right color.

This has been my foundation for years! I love this product! I use the porcelin ivory shade and while it may not be 100% perfect match for my skin, it does a wonderful job masking redness and papules from my rosacea /eczema. I use this product exclusively on my sensitive problem areas to even out blotchy inflamed skin and the subsequent blemishes: applied to cheeks only. It has not broken me out and does not irritate my skin when i’m in a flare. It stays put, is buildable, and has a soft finish that does not seem to exacerbate dryness/scaliness. The mousse feel is creamy without being runny and pats to a matte finish without looking cakey.
Girls, I am very low maintenace and minimalist, so I don’t carry a makeup bag often. This product has been my HG for BOTH great coverage and functionality/convenience. I love the packaging despite the bulkiness! It is so durable and travel-friendly! While I can give a nod to Maybeline for the enclosed applicator, I don’t like the shape and use a triangle wedge sponge instead. This may just be because my needs are different (selective application vs. full face). Might be awesome for someone else, so hey, kudos for including it. The wedge I use still fits in the compact perfectly and I appreciate having everything all together.
The price of this product feels reasonable. I purchase mine from the beauty section of a grocery for a little over $9 (large urban city) and a little over $8 from CVS in the past I think. I can’t find this product on any drugstore shelves as of the date of this review. I tried to purchase it from the grocery store this weekend and only a smattering remained and my shade was not in stock (and hasn’t been re-upped in a long time it seems). I think Maybelline is discontinuing it?!
So now the search begins for a replacement…
I’m pretty bummed! I’m going to miss the ease of this compact. So nice to stuff it into coat pocket or toss with abandon into a bag! And let me be real, I am not thrilled with the idea of having to “test drive” new-to-me products given my sensitive-skin condition. Le sigh.
If you happen upon this gem at your local drugstore, snatch it up before it’s too late. Especially those ladies with very sensitive, dry, rosacea-flared ruddy skin as this product has served me well across the past 4+ years!

I recently purchased this product from ulta, it was on clearance and I heard it was great for dry skin so I gave it a try. At first I loved it, it made my skin look gorgeous. It covers redness well, blends easily, doesn’t show dry patches, and is very fast to apply if using a beauty blender. I really wish I could still use this foundation. That being said, my skin broke out horrendously. I don’t even usually post reviews about products but wow its terrible. I use to struggle with moderate acne and in the past year its finally gotten to the point where I barely have break outs. I used this for about 5 days straight before I really noticed how bad it was getting, I haven’t used it for about 3-4 days now. Tonight while looking in the mirror I actually started crying because of how bad it is(lame I know). I don’t have acne prone skin, this is the first foundation to ever give me a reaction like this. I’m breaking out in spots I’ve never even had pimples before. I’m so upset about it.. If you’re thinking about trying this, seriously don’t. It’s no where near worth the damage it caused my skin. Hopefully I can get it back to normal.

I’m in love with the way this looks. I have 35+ foundations and this is in the top 4. It makes my skin look completely flawless. Such a hidden gem. It does oxidize a little bit orange but it just makes me look like I have a tan. I have dry skin and this makes it look hydrated and healthy!!!! In love!!!

I have this in 110–Porcelain Ivory (the lightest shade as far as I know) and mostly I like it. I’m not in love with it, but I would probably buy it again for convenience.
Pros:
-Lightweight
-Easy to throw in my bag for touchups later
-Buidable coverage (can be light coverage up to medium, I’d say)
-Comes in a pale enough enough shade for me to wear (at least in the summer)
-Pretty cheap
-Doesn’t make me break out
-Separate compartment for storing the sponge
-Stays on pretty well, even in heat and humidity
-Applies easily and blends well
-Feels nice on my skin (it claims “skin looks and feels hydrated for 14 hours — never rough or dry” and that’s mostly true for me)
Cons:
-Looks a bit shiny on me without powder on top or using blotting papers
-No mirror (why?!)
-Doesn’t cover blemishes well at all
-Looks cakey (and kind of orange on me)) if I try to build to full coverage
-Not a lot of product (it probably won’t last as long as a bottle of liquid would)
ETA: Ok, I liked this at first, but now I’m knocking it down a little because I figured out that the orange issue is a LOT worse than I thought.
During the summer it wasn’t so bad because my skin always gets slightly darker, so the orange tone wasn’t as noticeable. But, as summer faded and my usual ghostly palor returned, it became more obvious that this foundation makes me look like an Oompa Loompa.
What’s really frustrating is that it goes on and matches my skin pretty well, but then as I’m applying the rest of my makeup, I can see it becoming more and more orange. This stuff starts oxidizing ridiculously quickly, so I would not recommend it. I love most things about it, but the orange is just awful.

I love this foundation. My color is nude.I have normal to dry skin with lots of dry patches and this foundation does wonders. This foundation leaves my skin looking flawless and it doesn’t stay on my dry patches. This whole maybelline dream mousse line is my HG and it’s the only line that I love so much.I have not changed or gone to a different brand of makeup because this line and foundation is my HG and makes my skin look flawless.

As far as cream foundations go this one is really good. Super blendable and the color matches my skin perfectly. It is hydrating and at the end of the day when I take it off my skin looks pretty good. It is rather heavy so if you have even slightly oily skin this product isn’t for you… however if you have dry patches like me then you need to try this! No other foundation makes my skin look so flawlessly smooth
