Got this at Big Lots for $4. I mix it with my moisturizer, and makes a good tinted moisturizer. The rest of my makeup goes on well on top with this combo. My biggest complaint is the jar. I hate it. You do seem to get quite a bit of product. Recommend for $4.

I bought this the other day at Big Lots for $4. I have the shade fair clair. It’s a very nice smooth foundation, I like the texture of it. As for the “face lift effect”, I didn’t see much but that’s most likely because I’m 16 and didn’t buy it for that fact anyways. It has a good coverage, I have sensitive fair acne prone skin and it looks smooth and flawless on my face. But I also mix it with the covergirl clean whipped cream foundation because I also bought that at Big Lots for $2 and it’s a little too dark for me. The combination is perfect for me. But by itself, it’s still a really good foundation, especially for $4! Now I’m thinking I should’ve bought more than one.

I am 64 and have tried this product for 2 months. I find it drys my skin and I have seen no facelifting effect.
It made my skin feel tight but it did not reduce any wrinkles, around my mouth or my eyes.
I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed in this product. I have used other Cover Girl products and been very happy.
Also, this product was over $30.00, which I found expensive, considering the lack of results.
Hope others had a better result.

This foundation is a little pricey for a drugstore brand ($13-$18, depending on where you shop). The texture is very similar to Colorstay Whipped – a thick cream. Product itself comes in a heavy glass jar with a purple plastic screw-on lid. The foundation itself is a light to medium coverage. I find that I use only a small amount or it can look cakey, and blend it out over MAC Fix+ with an airbrush foundation brush. For my 40-year old, slightly dry skin, it gives a beautiful, natural, satin finish that lasts through an entire workday. Does not feel greasy or oily like many hydrating foundations, does not cling to dry patches, settle into pores, or emphasize lines. I don’t notice any “facelift effect” or firming, but I like the way this looks so much that it doesn’t matter. This reminds me very, very much of Lancome Teint Visionnaire, although the Cover Girl is slightly less dewy. They have a similar finish & skincare claims. They are very similar products even though this is a cream, and that is a liquid. This is definitely a foundation for mature and/or dry skin. Overall, for a drugstore brand, I am pretty impressed with this and I would definitely repurchase.

Well I bought this expensive drugstore makeup last night and thought well here goes another to my collection. I did write a book on beauty tips so I figure what is one more to add. Now I may change my mind in a few days, but I used it this morning and my skin looks like a million bucks. So far I love it and I have had it on for over 7 hours and I still look refreshed. The color I bought was light/medium and at first I thought oh no I look like a ghost. But after about 10 min it set in and picked up my skin color perfect. I am extremely hard to match with my olive skin tone and most colors are way to yellow for me and I usually have to buy two colors and mix them, but this was perfect. I dust over it with my Bare Mineral powder which is amazing and I used my Roc daily deep wrinkle cream under it as well as my new Roc eye cream (another review) and it glided on perfect. So it is a total thumbs up for me. Had I not already wrote my book I may have added this. 🙂 Worth a try. True everyone is different and it is hit and miss on a lot of Products but I do really find Cover Girl to actually get the anti aging thing. Most of their products for anti aging do not stick or crack in your wrinkles. I do agree with previous reviews about the whole jar thing, I would much rather have it in a pump, but ya know if it works who cares.

The reviews are so mixed with this one. It’s pretty pricey for a drugstore foundation, but it works for me. In fact, between this and the Simply Ageless cream foundation, I am set. If I want heavier coverage, I use the Simply Ageless. If I want a moisturizing, light coverage that makes me look as if I don’t have any makeup on, this is it. I find that it looks very natural, and it covers up my rosacea just enough, but still lets a bit of natural color through to look natural. I would say this is more like a tinted moisturizer, but one that actually works for me (I generally hate tinted moisturizers). Cover Girl seems to be putting out some nice things. Pity the color selection is not the best, but the light/medium works for me.

At first I didn’t like this foundation since it seemed too greasy for my combination skin, and it caused some skin irritation. I was wearing it over my favorite primer, so maybe I had too much heavy product on my skin. I set this foundation aside since I probably wouldn’t be using it. Then one day I was in a hurry and didn’t want to do the whole moisturizer/primer/foundation routine. I used this stuff by itself and it worked wonderfully! The “anti-aging” ingredients (mostly silicones and niacinimide and some vitamins) don’t really give you a “facelift” of course, but it made my skin look radiant and younger. I’ve used it several times since then, either by itself or just over an Olay oil-free moisturizer, and got great results.
The Pros:
The texture is fantastic, very creamy and super blendable. You can easily get sheer coverage or build for medium to full coverage.
This is moisturizing and has a very soothing feel on the skin. It doesn’t make my skin look dried out or wrinkly like some foundations do. It’s a great foundation for winter when my skin tends to have dry flaky areas.
I can apply this with fingers and blend it in super-fast. I can also skip primer and other prep steps, so it saves time getting ready.
It makes my skin look radiant without looking oily as long as I don’t over-moisturize underneath.
It works best without a primer… seems to have enough slip and wrinkle coverage in it to work as foundation and primer at once.
The color (I got the lightest) works perfectly for my light olive skin and it doesn’t oxidize.
My husband says my skin looks better than ever – clear and much younger – with this foundation. Hooray!
The Cons:
If I use it over primer, it’s too heavy and results in oil buildup by midday and irritated skin by end of the day.
There is some color transference since this is not specifically a “long wearing” foundation, but I noticed that problem mostly happens when I use heavier products underneath it.
The packaging is a little jar, which can be a bit messy. I would prefer a pump bottle, but the jar is not a deal breaker in my case.
Overall, I will continue to use this and plan to buy it again.

This is made for aging skin. I have it.
My skin is also sensitive, tends to rosacea,
oily and break-out prone in humid weather,
and dry and peeling in cold, dry weather.
This has good coverage, feels soothing to aging skin,
and looks great after thorough blending.
I approve.

This may be the worst foundation I have tried. It feels like a cream but doesn’t rub in at all. It feels like it sits on top of the skin and gets cackier and cackier the more you try to work with it. I purchased in the light to medium which ended up making me look very pale so I exchanged for the darkest tone available, which was medium. This color was fine but you can see it on the skin as it Just. Doesn’t. Blend. In. When I got to the point of almost acceptable, in just a few hours it looked like I just went through a 12 hour work day. No staying power at all.
Would not recommend at all.

I tried this foundation for the first time yesterday and the shade I purchased was light medium. I tried this first using Nivea creme moisturizer and I found that it blended in well. At first it appeared too light for me but I noticed that it somehow blended with my natural skin color as time went on. It is not totally matte but gives a pretty soft glow. The next day I tried it with my Clinique moisturizer and it didn’t blend as well. Again it appeared too light but I noticed as the day went on, my skin looked so smoothed like it just melted in my skin. This foundation lasted all day without needing touch up. It covers well and at the same time it looks natural. It did not oxidized on my skin however I do believe that the moisturizer you put on underneath will determine how this foundation performs. Overall, I do like this foundation and will continue using it. I will try the medium next time.
