I guess I am LLL (wearing NC15 in winter but I could stand to step it up to NC20. But I make it work). This is very subtle which is what I like. It’s very natural, face it! (No pun…), but the highlighter is so good not a glitter bomb & the contour well it would be better if it was a tinge greyer but can double as bronzer & contour. This gives me a lovely subtle glow esp the highlighter powder done over the areas I’ve gone over w NC15 concealer to highlight under my eyes. It makes me look healthier which is saying a lot. It’s not a carved out artificial contour. If I want that I will reach for my NYX contour palette. But this gives the loveliest sheen/shadow/hint of color. It’s not severe but it is dramatic enough. I’d love to try this 1 shade darker too. Winning!!

I could never get either the highlighter or the countourer to blend correctly, but I’ve had the most luck with this highlighter.

I like this product, but I really have no use for it. I tried to use the darker color to contour, but it just made me look dirty, like I fell in mud. It didn’t really matter how hard I blended. I can see this working very well once I get a little bit of sun, I’m around NC10 right now. Anyway, as for right now, I’m really liking the highlighter. I can’t really see it highlighting anything because it’s actually very near my skin tone, but it adds a little shimmer which is very pretty. For two products in one, this isn’t a bad price. I also love that it’s Dsquared. 🙂

For reference, I’m an NC 15/20. I bought the Bone Beige/Emphasize pans on the MAC pro website since d-squared was sold out. I was recommended the combination from a MAC makeup artist. Honestly, Emphasize didn’t even show up on my skin… at all. And bone beige was kind of …orange. It looked more like a bronzer than a contour shade. It was just too warm. It cost me… uhh… 15.50 USD I think and honestly it was EXACTLY THE SAME SHADE as my Physicians Formula Light Bronzer (which is talc-fee and MAC sculpting powder is not and it’s cheaper and you get more). Needless to say (but I will anyway), I sent these products back. If you’re a NC15/20, try MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle as a highlighter – so pretty!!! I think these could be good products but maybe for someone darker.

The mac store only had one left so I decided to try it out as I had been looking for a contour color that could maybe double as a bronzer. so far the bone side, seems like a good match on my skin, I tried it with the 165 brush is awesome, you can still find them at CCO’s, but the color is nice. The highlighting side doesnt show up on me but Im thinking of using it over my regular highligter, which is a cream to get it to last longer, so the highlighting shade might end up being useful. I think ill update this with continued use of the product.

I got this from the DSquared collection. It is the BEST product to contour on medium tone skins with. I even used it during the holidays to add contour and depth to a Halloween zombie look.
It’s amazing, and I wish the Scupt and Shape products were easier to get a hold of

Another no-regret makeup item addition to my collection. I love the fact that the accentuate and the shading part is all inside one compact. And the brown color used for shading is very natural without being odd. I also like it because the contouring brown color is not shimmery, but matte. I got this from the DSquared Collection, the amount of product is huge although its a bit pricey.
Definitely repurchase.

Initially I thought this was a clever little product that put a great highlighting and contouring colour in one pan. I purchased this thinking it would end up being one of those products I couldn’t live without… this was not the case for me. I have fair asian skin (about NC25 or 30) and the SA had no hesitation in recommending this shade to me. However, the highlighting colour doesn’t even show up on my skin and the darker contour colour looks dirty and unnatural and has a reddish tone that almost looks like blush on my skin. Plus, the split palette makes it difficult to get one colour on my kabuki brush without picking up some of the other colour. Maybe they expect you to use a fan brush or a small brush like the MAC #108 brush? But I like using a bigger brush so it looks softer and I don’t get the stripey contoured look. It’s disappointing that this product didn’t work for me.

I own this shade and also the one shade darker than this, the reason that made me go back and buy the darker was the fact that the pigmentation,of the light one, was quite low and I thought that the darker one will work better. But I was wrong. This powder has 2 shades in it one darker to contour the face and one light to highlight. Both shades are matte and this is very odd I mean the dark shade ok it’s for contouring so yes it’s ok to be matte, but the highlighting shade why is matte? The reason that I highlight a part of my face is to give light and dimension and matte is matte is flat and gives no dimension so again why??Unfortunately this isn’t the only problem with this product. The darker shade is a matte neutral but more on the worm side brownish color almost like a bronzer and just for me when I buy and pay a product specifically for contouring I don’t want to buy a bronzer….I already have that…I also think that the quality of the powders is very,VERY low although it very fine and silky doesn’t go one evenly and you have to be very careful. Also after a while the light shade become “dirty”from the darker shade and become a couple shades darker so was to dark for highlight
