cannot live without this palette!! I walked around Sephora with this palette as I wasn’t sure if it would be dark enough for me and the darkest shade looked shimmery for my cheeks as I prefer my bronzers matt. I’m so glad I bought this, I just love how it goes on, but you do have to go in with a light hand. I use Enhance under my eyes to brighten, and mix princess cut and angle as contour and then crown on my forehead. I have a bad habit of resting my cheek on my hand when I’m working but this baby stays put! Love love love this…couldn’t say enough good things about this product!!

This was an impulse buy at ULTA and I regret nothing. The packaging and smell of these powders is divine! I’d say this is wayyyy more practical/staple piece than the Pro Glow palette (which I received in my FFF summer box). These powders are pigmented, the first time I applied this without tapping off the excess it looked like I had a huge bruise underneath my cheekbones. The left two shades are great for setting concealer, and the middle two bronzer shades are great for both contouring but also bronzing. I sweep a huge kabuki brush across all four bronzers when I want to bronze my neck and chest, although I have used the shimmery bronze shades on my face and by the time I’m done blending you can’t see the glitter/shimmer, more of just a slight sheen. I’d repurchase if I ever ran out!

Excellent highlighting, bronzing, contouring, setting, whatever palette! I got this to cheer myself up from the winter blues and gee, why not get a big serving of the stuff while I’m at it, this has almost a full ounce (0.948 oz. total). The palette itself is heavy and to me states “business” with its generously sized pans that don’t laugh at my favorite fluffy bronzing brush. I think it’s heavy because Tarte says the pans are magnetic / removable so the magnet has to add some heft to it. In fact, I think this might have turned it into a shipping nighmare for cosmetic retailers because I have seen multiple reviewers say they received their palette with a shattered highlight shade, and guess what – so did I. 🙁 The palette is long and I guess retailers don’t ever EVER give a d*mn about things shifting around in the boxes because this really needs to be bubble wrapped on ALL sides (not just placed inbetween) or slipped in a padded mailer envelope thingie to cushion it better. Anyway…
As far as the formula goes: guess what?! It’s the same ol’ Tarte stuff, smelling like vanilla (yum!) but not quite as pigmented as their eyeshadows or the clay play first gen palette biggest pans of contouring shades. But that’s ok because I wouldn’t want such a palette to be opaque and risk looking like I got dirt on my face. For those who have yet to experience the tarty tart of Tarte, in my amateur words: not quite creamy, not quite dry, lasts well without primer, lasts all day with unless you are very oily.
I have been using the highlighter shades to set my eyelid primer because my biggest fear in life is quickly hitting pan in similar shades in my eyeshadow palettes, and I don’t ever see myself hitting pan in any highlighter I own using it as highlighter, ever. I favor carat as a bronzer on my fair to light skin tone and love the subtle touch of shimmer, it gives a nice glow. And I agree with many who say the shade princess cut is best as a contour shade. I’ve totally ignored angle but did dip into the darkest shade of the palette, crown, and will definitely use this in the summer as I am grounding myself for having gotten too much sun in the past few years and will never ever allow the light of day to hit my face without a layer of spf 50.
This is definitely NOT a travel friendly palette and I say no to a rebuy because I am willing to bet my entire makeup collection on the fact Tarte will have made something different by the time I use this up and it will no longer be available. As far as replacing it if I lost it, nope, it’s never leaving the house, there is no one who would steal from my mu, and I don’t see how I could ever misplace this hurge thing.

Love at first use and sight! This is a true gem! I don’t have anything like this in my makeup collection. The packaging is to die for and feels really lux. (A bit on the heavy side). The rose gold print will mesmerize you every time you use it. Hard and sturdy with a big mirror.
I love the uniqueness of this kit. They advertise this as a bronzer bar. But I would call it an all-in-all palette. The powders are so silky smooth without any kickup. They are pigmented and makes my skin look flawless. They blend like a dream and feel like silk. Also, this smells like chocolate!
The 2 first light colors brightens my undereyes perfectly.
The 3rd shade is a lighter shimmery brown perfect as a blush/topper for paler days (I’m a NC42). The 4th shade is a cool bronzer, 5th is warm. Laat shade is the darkerest with shimmer and works as a blush/topper for when I’m tan.
Price: 60 CAD
Shades:
The 2 first colors are setting powders. On of them ivory & the other pale yellow. I am a NC42 and wish those shades were just a tad bit darker but I can still use them lightly for every day use or go more extreme if I want to go for a very highlighted contoured look for night time. Shade 3 is a beautiful, golden buttery bronze highlight with amazing shimmers. Shade 4 is a grey cool toned contour, No 5 is a warm toned chocolate brown shade and last shade is a deep terracotta with small specks of golden shimmer ( I would call this a blush). The colors looks very natural on the skin and compliments my skin perfectly. Depending on how you use it, with a light or hard hand, you can go natural or hardcore full glam!
Texture/pigmentation:
These are finely milled but densely packed powders. They are so soft on the skin and pigmentation is awesome! You just need a dab or 2 to pick up color or else it can get dusty. The colors go onto the skin beautifully without any hard blending and the texture of the powders makes them go on seamlessly. Pans are big (magnetic removable pans) so it’s super user friendly for any size brushes and they also smell like chocolate! Doesn’t smell once they are on the skin but if you give the palette itself a little sniff you’ll be able to catch it. Powders hold on so well on the skin throughout the day and fades pretty without looking blotchy or weird.
Tarte claims that they it combines finely milled amazonian clay, mineral pigments and vitamin-E.
Negative:
Might be too dark for the palest of people.
FINAL VERDICT:
This is my HOLY GRAIL palette to use together with my Kat VD contour palette. These 2 palettes are my go to’s after my Nyx contour, Morphe bronzer and Sleek palettes. You get so much value for your money (10$ a shade, that makes it a freaking drugstore price 😉 So in love with this and I would recommend anyone to buy it. Grab it. You won’t regret it!

This is so amazingly gorgeous! I just got this yesterday at Ulta, and cannot stop staring at the gorgeous packaging.. It’s truly stunning. There’s a great mix of cool toned contour powders, and a darker bronzing shade that all blend out beautifully.. I have only used it twice, but I am blown away by the quality of these powders.. They are buttery and blend like nothing I have in my collection, and I have a lot of products by Hourglass, Becca, Laura Mercier, NARS, MAC etc, and nothing compares to this palette. The setting powders are almost like illuminators, glowy and ethereal, and the banana shade is amazing for setting under eyes, and adding some vibrancy.. For $46, it is truly worth every penny.

I stumbled across this beauty a few days ago. I love tarte and contour palettes, so this was a no brainer. I love that the matte highlight/banana powder was included! The shades are much cooler toned in person than in the picture shown here, which is a must for contour, in my opinion. The first (going from left to right) Pan was great for brightening up skin on the cheekbones/chin/forehead. I am medium/tan and it blended in and didn’t look chalky. The second, yellow toned, pan made great undereye setting powder. I actually liked it better than the ABH and UD banana powder. The third and fourth pans are cool contours. They were blendable and easy to build up for more intense. The 5th pan is a bit warmer toned. I used it as a bronzer today and it looked great. The darker was intense but easy to blend out. None of the shades were overtly gray toned, either.
In comparison to the Tarte Face Shaping Palette, the powders are not as soft in the pan. For those that haven’t played with the FSP, those contours are VERY soft and powdery. You have to be careful. The consistency being firmer in the Chisel palette made it easier to control the amount going onto my brush. Prior to this the FSP was my favorite contour palette. The amount of product in this is awesome! Huge pans. And THEY ARE MAGNETIC! I can’t bear to depot this – the packaging is absolutely the most gorgeous and solid that I have ever seen.
Compared the Anastasia, these powders aren’t as chalky and not warm toned. I kept the banana powder and he pale pink from ABH, but those are out now. This palette has that! The UD Naked Shapeshifter is a good contour palette, but this powder blends much better and has a lot more product in it.
I wasn’t even aware that this was launching until I saw it in store. I am very impressed with it!
