Another impulse buy from L’Oreal, a brand I haven’t used in decades. This product isn’t perfect, but I love it: Perfect shades for my skin, the LIGHT shade compact. PERFECT contouring shade for my chubby nose! The lighter shade is easy to work with, no shimmer or sparkle, just a good flattering glow. I’ve begun to use this to set my undereye concealer . . . . lovely! The the darker side is hard and seemingly dead to the touch of a brush – I wish this shade was softer – but it does pick up. I’ve never found a face powder shade so perfect for contouring – I’ve had to use eye shadows. The pan is rocky in the cheap Wet n Wild-like plastic case; I wouldn’t mind if it was all sturdier. I don’t know why but I anticipate this being discontinued….if so, I’ll be purchasing a back-up or two on Ebay. (It occurred to me, now 60 years old, that I needn’t keep many back-ups any more, just a couple…..I don’t have the years left to use them! lol)

Amazing!!!!!

My favorite. I’m on my third kit. I’ve tried quite a few & either the contour is too dark or the highlight is too light. The light kit is perfect for my light/medium skin tone. HG!

My skintone is around NC 43 in MAC, and I bought this in Deep. The contour shade works. Its a good color and matte…But I don’t understand the highlight. Is literally a shimmer peach blusher like shade. I would have to buy the medium kit to use the highlight, and then keep this one to use the contour.
Also have to mention this breaks me out. Not horribly, but it breaks me out. I have to use it with a light hand, in pressure AND amount, and then I don’t have problems; Though Its not like The Sleek Contour kit that LITERALLY left me a contouring line of PIMPLES. Like my bare face was contoured… with PIMPLES. Not cool.
Its not super pigmented like a shadow, but it shows up enough to contour. Also the highlight shade is not a glitter fest and I appreciate that. It looks like a satin shimmer.

I have very fair, oily skin with yellow undertones. I rarely contour, or even bronze for that matter, because every product I put on my face looks like I dipped a makeup brush in a bag of Cheetos and smeared it on my face. For some irritating reason EVERYTHING looks orange on me. This product has amazing potential. I picked up the “813 light” and the color is spot on for my skin tone, a true cool ashy brown. It looks like a real shadow on my skin, which is the whole point of contouring. It is not very pigmented at all, which for me is a huge plus because I wear very minimal makeup. I would much rather have a product that I can build up to the desired intensity that I want as opposed to trying to blend out a product that is too much for my trademark “no-makeup makeup” look. I know many people dislike this product because of light pigmentation, but it really works for me. Although the pigmentation works for my needs, the contour powder itself is very hard. I have to actually scrape some product off the top and only then does my brush pick anything up. The highlight is a beautiful velvety powder with a golden sheen. I always lean toward gold or champagne highlight because of my yellow undertone. So the colors are lovely but I hate the fact that they are both in the same pan and not separated by anything. I just find that it is hard to pick up only one side without touching the other. No odor, no skin reaction, lasted throughout the day. I said I would repurchase because the colors are spot on and I can work with the hard contour texture.
pros:
-perfect colors, contour is cool, ashy brown, highlight is golden
-highlight has a velvety finish and great pigmentation
-small and compact package, keep in my desk at work
cons:
-pricey for drugstore product, and small amount
-contour powder is hard to pick up on brush
-highlight and contour are in the same pan

I’m NC 15/20 Asian. 99% of “brown” on the market has too much yellow/orange/red, no matter how light or dark they are. After searching for several decades, I have found 5 products of cool grey brown for people like me. The following is in the order of the cool-ness of the undertone:
(1) NYX Blush “Taupe”. It is ‘rather-purplish’ brown. But, since it was designed to be a “blusher” instead of “contour”, it has some red inevitably. I would rather use this for a bronzer.
(2) Sephora blush “Tranquil”. THE perfect shading color (no red at all) but poorly pigmented.
(3) Milani Contour & Highlight Duo “Fair/Light”. The highlight is shimmery liquid and the dark color is a very creamy crayon. Nice!
(4) Maybelline Master Contour V-shape Duo Stick “Light”. I actually like how it is matte without shimmer. However, it is quite drying. I also wish the highlight color and the shadow color were separate crayons so I can buy one without the other.
(5) L’Oreal Infallible Pro Contour & Highlighting Palette “Light/Claire”. The colors are nice but poorly pigmented.

Terrible – I found it hard to tell a difference when I was applying it to my face (I bought the “medium” palette, if that helps – it looks different when I swatch it with my finger on my wrist – for some reason when applied with a brush to my face, it just doesn’t add anything). I also realized that the first ingredient listed is talc, which is linked to ovarian cancer. Invest in something better.

I would not purchase again. It really did nothing for me. I have fair-beige cool-toned skin. The color/highlighting affect does not show up: I hardly get any thing from it. Perhaps it will work better for different skin types. Maybe it will work for someone who is looking for something very subtle, but this is not the product for me. It does not do much contouring and generally isn’t good quality, in my opinion. I am definitely going to be more careful next time, because this was a waste of money for me. Luckily, I did not shell out much for it, but still.
