This is a small compact palette in terms of packaging, with fairly large pans of highlight, blush and contour inside. Very little space is wasted and it is thin and sleek, perfect for travel and/or if you don’t have much room to store makeup at home. The sleekness is what really sold me on this palette, besides the shades contained within. It comes in two options, “Malibu” which is cool toned, and “Monaco” which is the one I purchased. The highlight is a creamy ivory shade, not too shimmery, more brightening than anything. I love the punchy coral shade of blush and the contour is on the warm side, more of a bronzer than contour but a great trio honestly. The powder is quite hard, with no kickback when tapping a brush to pick up product. I’ve seen mixed reviews on this but I quite like it. I picked it up at Winners for $12, a great find in my opinion. Doubtful I would repurchase but I am glad I have it.

I’ve had this palette for years++… unfortunately I haven’t used it for sooo long. Loved it when I first bought it. Non-stop use!… But as competitors in the cosmetic markets started improving colours and product quality; I eventually pushed this palette to the back of the drawer. … I remember it had great pigment and lasted throughout the day, but there was a lot of product kickback from the blush and highlighter. I owned the Malibu palette, I loved the blush colour- a cool tone soft almost bubble gum matte pink the colour was so pretty on my cheeks gave me the ‘out of the cold’ flush. The highlighter has a opulent sheen but was quite chalky in texture. The contour was meh… as I look at it now, ‘what was I thinking’ lol… it’s a very unnatural red tone taupe? Not sure how I got away w/ it but I worked it… I hit pan on the blush and almost on the highlighter. So I did get good use out of it… I remember I was debating whether to get the other palette which had a warm coral blush with shimmer, very reminiscent of Nars Orgasm but the highlighter and contour shades were waaaay off for me… I believe it was called Monaco? The palettes themselves were quite generous, no brush included which I’m good w/….usually the quality of freebie brushes are subpar. Encased in a solid ‘industrial-look’ plastic metal looking case, with a huge rectangular mirror, it was a bit cumbersome to hold… Overall it served its purpose back when, I prob won’t be using this anymore… would recommend to a very young aspiring make up artist as a first palette only.

I love this contour palette. I got it as a gift about 3 years ago and I still have it. Unfortunately, I dropped it and the highlighter completely smashed but the blush and contour are still in perfect condition. I’ve been using this very often since I received it and there is still a lot left. So it;s definitely worth the price. I tend to go over board with my bronzer accidentally but this palette really is “fool” proof. I would recommend it as a gift to anyone as it complimented a lot of my friends who have a different skin tone.

I bought this product two years ago at a Macy’s store. Let me say that I still have most of it left! It lasts you for a VERY long time. This product is great! Anyone who complains about it probably doesn’t know how to use it correctly. It gives such a pretty natural look. It doesn’t give a glittery look. Defiantly will purchase again. It also doesn’t make the skin oily! 🙂

Cargo Contour Palette in “Malibu”
This palette that consists of highlight, cheek & contour colors is $36 on the Cargo website. I got it for $11 on clearance at Sephora. The best part about the palette is the HUGE mirror that comes with it. I’m afraid everything else is pretty bad and I would return it (even just to get the $11 back) except I really like the mirror. The highlight color is really chalky and emphasizes any lines/pores. The cheek color is a bright pink that seems really unnatural. The contour color is a grayish light brown / berry color which I thought would be great because brown bronzers are all way too dark and muddy on me. This contour color looks like a bruise. I’m going to see if I can make this work in some way so I can justify keeping it because I love the mirror so much. It’s about 2-3 times the size of other compact mirrors.

The powders in this palette are soft and feel far more luxurious than the price I paid for them. If not for e.l.f. logo, one could easily mistake this palette for a high end product.
Although I’m a brown girl, my skin is on the lighter side of the spectrum so I opted to get the Light palette because the contour and bronzer colours seemed dark enough and I wasn’t wrong! They show up on my skin beautifully and blend like a dream.
Meanwhile, I use the lighter matte powder to set my concealer/foundation and I find myself reaching for the highlighter shade often as well. This surprises me because the shade is very white so I assumed it would look chalky on me. On the contrary, this shade has a nice shimmer to it and blends right into the tops of my cheeks with a highlighter brush I got in the Tarte Holiday brush set.
All in all, this is one of my favourite e.l.f. purchases ever and I will definitely rebuy.

THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING. And I´m not exaggerating, it really is. This palette is so complete, usually I don’t like contour palettes because you can’t use all the colors and it’s a waste of money to buy those palettes, but the thing with this is that you can use all the shades (considering your skin tone of course). The Highlighter is not blinding but is a beautiful white champagne color, doesn’t have any glitter, the banana one is my favourite because you can set the concealer underneath the eyes with it and it will look flawless. The broncer seems a little bit orange but is not once applying it, is very warm, and the contour shade is perfect for that purpouse, also is super pigmented. I love this so much, I already hit pan in the banana shade and almost in the bronzer.
100% recommended.

This is my go-to pallete. I use it for my face and eyes. The colors always look natural no matter what I want to add to it and it’s very versatile. When it comes to my basic, daily makeup, I just put on my bb cream, put this on over it and I’m ready to go. I even use the dark brown for my eye brows.

The contour shade is quite dark for fair skin. It can work decently if applied with a light hand, but it’s far from ideal.
The highlighter is powdery and chalky.
The setting powder is, again, too dark for fair skin. Can work for setting concealer on eyelids, but make sure you apply it with a light hand or it will cake up.
The bronzer shade has a red undertone. This is the only shade that is completely unusable on fair skin, so I use it as eyeshadow.
All of the powders blend quite well.
I’m a fan of the packaging, it’s sturdy and has a huge mirror. Very affordable product.

I am super pleased with this palette. I purchased it at Wal-Mart for 6.00 canadian and it works better than some of the high end palettes I have.
The deep ashy brown looks dark but applies tastefully and the cool tone makes it look very natural. I find it pigmented enough for fair skin. The warmer brown is beautiful to contour the forehead and has a stunning warm natural finish. The peach/yellow/skin tone is too dark for me (on my fair skin) to use as a highlight so i use it to set my eye primer, under my eyes, or a little all over as an all over powder. I absolutely ADORE the white highlight. It applies beautifully and has just the right amount of subtle sheen to create a sexy look without looking overdramatic, shiny or tacky.
All four shades can also be used as eyeshadow.
This is a must have!

This is a nice intro level contouring product for fair beginners. None of the powders are super pigmented (a good thing for beginners – you can easily build them) and are soft and blendable.
The white highlighting shade is the weak link here, it’s difficult to build and it just generally looks powdery when you try. Sadly, it will emphasize pores and texture while not looking pretty as a highlighter.
The peachy nude shade works fine to set eyeshadow primer, I tend to set my concealer with a silica type powder.
The warm brown makes a nice bronzer and the cooler brown does a fine job of subtle contouring that is hard to mess up. Blends easily and doesn’t look crazy.
Now, I won’t repurchase because contouring and bronzing don’t look good on me (high-contrast, clear coloring-Bright Winter), but I am keeping the three colored shades and using them as eyeshadow. Takes a bit of building since they aren’t super rich in pigment, but makes a fine matte base for a neutral eye. Nude shade all over lid, warm brown transition, cooler brown crease/outer v.
Packaging is quite solid and the squares apparently pop out and are interchangeable woth ELF’s other square complexion quads (don’t own them).

good if youre going for a natural look. not suitable if you want to go for a more heavy makeup kinda look. I’d rather go out with my naked face compared to going out with makeup that have natural look. For me it’s just wasting my time and energy. So nahhh. This item isn’t for me :/

I threw it away. The powders were chalky and difficult to apply smoothly. The highlighter shades just looked like powder. The darkest shade just made my fair skin look dirty and the second darkest shade looked too orange.

I simply could not get these colors to work, despite trying different brushes. The dark contour shade is poor on payoff, and when I try to build it, it starts looking patchy. I will admit my skin is very dry and I compensate by piling face oil underneath my foundation or bb cream which makes my skin “grabby”, but I have other powder products that don’t do this, so it is definitely the formula. The shade to the left of it didn’t show on my skin at all, it did absolutely nothing. And next to the few mid range highlighters I own, the two shades across the top were unimpressive.
I admit I was drawn to this and the other 4 pan face palettes because the pans pop out and can be reconfigured into another palette or a z-palette. And for a cheap palette, the palette itself is boring but quite sturdy. I don’t feel particularly jipped because it was cheap.
