So, as you know, if you look at the 4 other reviews I have done on different Shea Moisture products, I love the Shea Moisture brand. HOWEVER, I will not repurchase this particular conditioner again. As far as this conditioner working, it does, and it most definitely delivers. But, I cannot get over the smell. To me, this smells awful. I will use this up until its gone because I don’t like wasting money, but I will stick with the other Shea Moisture conditioners that deliver, and also smell really good. Smell this before buying! Would not recommend.

(I would rate this a 3.5 out of 5.)
This is a very different type of conditioner. It is meant to nourish processed hair, so it is more like a mild protein treatment. It is not designed to be moisturizing as a priority.
With that said, I think this conditioner is OK. It’s not something that I typically reach for, but I use it when my hair is over-moisturized or needs a protein boost. I dye my fine-textured, wavy hair every 4-6 weeks, so it needs strengthening from the inside, which this conditioner does. It has a strong rose scent, which isn’t my favorite, but I think it smells fine.
Overall, I like it, but it isn’t moisturizing enough for my hair to be a go-to. I prefer the Manuka Honey or Raw Shea Butter from Shea Moisture as my routine conditioner.

My HG item for my weekly deep cleansing regimen. The Companion shampoo is delightful and cleanses gently without stripping oils from the scalp and the hair. The Sacha Inchi Conditioner performed excellently, leaving my hair soft, beautifully-scented, bouncy, smooth and supple. I recommend the Sacha Inchi Omega 3, 6, 9.shampoo, conditioner and deep treatment masque for all hair types. This is my favorite scent of all the Shea Moisture lines also. It is important to deep cleanse your hair/scalp once a week.

Smells terrible and the scent is strong to my nose. It feels good in the shower and has good slip, but as soon as my hair dries, my hair is frizzy and dry feeling. I am very disappointed as other formulations from this line were great for my hair, especially the deep conditioners and rinse-outs. I will have to try this as a styler and update.

Whoa! Am I putting laundry detergent on my hair or is it conditioner? Cause thats EXACTLY what it smells like! The matching gel to this conditioner is the same and ill be reviewing it next. So up front smelling it out of the bottle and on your hands its smell like a doctors office lol ya know like that medicinal smell…ehh not the best smell but not terrible. But after you rinse this off your hair thats when the laundry soap smell comes in and it lingers! And its very strong, almost gives me a headache. Now as for the conditioning properties. Its kinda lightweight for my liking. Doesn’t have much slip, which i need for my thick curly hair. I had to use quite a bit just to feel like i had conditioner in my hair cause its so light and my hair is short, i don’t need very much conditioner. Has a bit of a residue after you rinse but once your hair dries its gone. My hair does feel soft and smooth but that dang smell…i don’t know why Shea Moisture would choose such a smell for hair products. Ill be returning this. bummer.
