I bought this to go with my Pure Clean shampoo, which I love. This particular conditioner to the shampoo, while I don’t love the smell, works well in conjunction with the Pure Clean shampoo and my hair is just clean, soft, and manageable. The conditioner is not at all heavy and just gives my hair a nice light conditioning .

I have wavy/curly fine hair, and I didn’t find that this left any residue. My hair has been dry for the past couple weeks due to a crappy conditioner that I was using, and this moisturized it again. My ends are looking much better, and it didn’t weigh down my waves. I used a small amount, and rinsed well. I wouldn’t try and use this as a leave-in, though. Overall, moisturizes well, and is a reasonable price.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GET TOO HUNG UP ON THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!
I don’t often write reviews but I believe this one needed it due to all the negative comments which I believe are due to user blunders rather than the product itself.
I believe the reason this has so many bad reviews is because people are using way too much on their hair. It’s most likely that the people buying this are expecting it to act like one of the “non natural” hair products with all the additives (like silicones) and slather it on excessively trying to get the same feeling their old conditioner gave in the shower. One thing you will notice about any natural hair products is they don’t act the way we expect. Not to mention most are full of OILS (good oils, but they are oils none the less and can lead to a problem when used in excess). I have been using this for almost a week now and I’ve had zero grease issues. Mind you I have medium length, greasy root/dry end hair and I’m strictly using a dime size. TIP: Use a little water to get the product evenly distributed if it feels like you don’t have enough, rather than adding a ton more.
In summary, this product is wonderful as long as you don’t use too much. I removed a lippie due to the sulfate in this.

I bought this product while looking for a silicone free conditioner. I have to admit that since I read the reviews after buying this conditioner, I was a little hesitant about using it because of all the negative comments. I decided to give it a shot anyway, and WOW, am I glad I did!!! This conditioner is hands down the best conditioner I have ever used. It made my hair soft, manageable, healthier looking and full. No weigh down or residue of any kind, which silicones tend to produce in my hair. My hair is long,( elbow length), fine to medium in texture, slightly wavy, and lightly layered. It is also color treated to cover grays. All I can say is I hope Garnier never discontinues this wonderful conditioner, because I will buy this for as long as it exists! Oh, and the smell is awesome! Give it a try, because everyone’s hair is different. This may be the conditioner you’ve been searching for!

I began using this only recently, having been a fan of the Fructis Triple Nutrition Conditioner and desiring to switch to something silicone and paraben-free. I’ve deducted a lippie because unfortunately, this mostly-natural/biodegradable product contains sulfates so it’s not ideal for sensitive skins or allergy sufferers.
I have long, thick curly hair that is color-treated and requires lots of moisture. I’ve been co-pooing for a few years now (conditioner only) since “squeaky clean” shampooed hair is too dry for me. This conditioner is lighter and thinner than others I’ve used and gets absorbed into the hair, so I did have to use a bit more than usual and it took more effort to detangle for the first few uses. After several uses, however, my hair detangles effortlessly and I can go 3-4 days between washes.
The “layer” that others describe is from emollient oils, as this conditioner contains apricot seed and camellia oils which tend to coat the hair. Because I need intense moisture, I actually add more conditioner as a leave-in after rinsing, and I apply extra virgin coconut oil before combing my hair out. After several weeks’ use, my natural curl has actually loosened a bit, particularly at the crown, and my hair is very manageable, super shiny with fewer fly-aways.
This product has a sweet “shower fresh” scent that can be cloying unless you like scents of this sort. Think plum/plumeria/cotton blossom, along the lines of Agree or Finesse in the 80s (if you’re old enough to remember these!). Moderately priced at $3.39 for 12 oz. I wish I could find larger bottles of it.
Works great for thick, curly, dry and/or color-treated hair. Seems from the other reviews that if your hair is stick straight, fine, limp or oily, you should skip it.
If you have dry hair and/or fine hair and the Garnier doesn’t detangle it well and/or weighs it down, I instead recommend Nature’s Gate Organics Chamomile and Lemon Verbena Conditioner. It’s free of parabens, sulfates and synthetics, and has a natural, soft scent.

The worst.
Makes my hair fall out in clumps because of all the sulfates. I don’t like this product at all and will never use again!

This is just below average conditioner for me. I have lots of fine wavy hair that is colored. This conditioner does not detangle or moisturize at all. Has very little slip due to lack of silicons so you need to use a lot of it. But I think it works well enough if you have untreated normal hair. Great natural product for kids as well. The smell is awesome. And it can be used actually as a richer shampoo. It does clean your hair. So my vote is just average conditioner for a good price. The shampoo Pure Clean I love.

Wow, Garnier. I’m honestly just wondering what was going through their heads when they put this out there. Garnier’s products are usually amazing, but this is a letdown. Everything that could be wrong about a conditioner is going wrong with this one. Too thin and watery, doesn’t detangle or condition, and weighs down your hair, leaving a waxy film. Ugh. Shampoo is great, conditioner is a fail.

This came as a sample to Garnier hair color that I purchased. Thank goodness I didn’t have to pay for this. Ugh. My hair has been going through major changes due to a recently diagnosed underactive thyroid. My once normal hair is now thin, dry, and fine. I was hoping this would help condition my hair until my thyroid is under control. What a mistake!! This has made my hair a greasy, heavy, and just plain nasty mess. I look like I’ve dunked my head in a vat of olive oil!! I’ve had to rewash my hair. Thank goodness I didn’t pay extra for this. Not a fan whatsoever!!! Ugh

I like the whole concept it’s great, unfortunately this conditioner did absolutely nothing for my long dry hair. Consistency is very thin, almost to liquidity. Not a fan at all. Stay away!
