I have a love/hate relationship with Suave hair care products. I love finding a great product and I hate knowing they will discontinue it sooner rather than later. I’ve learned to appreciate Suave hair care lines like a summer camp romance: go ahead and enjoy it while it lasts, but don’t get attached. So, I usually try out their new product lines even as I know about 3 out of 5 of them will turn out to be duds, because of those 2 I love, I will LOVE with all the love. So it is with this new version of the Thick & Full conditioner. Suave has released it under the Infusion line, infused with Caffeine and Chia seed oil. I’d been looking for a new pre-styling conditioner, and this one looked promising. I was a little worried it was going to smell like coffee or salad dressing because I’d tried products with both of these ingredients before that unfortunately did, but my worries were unfounded. This new Infusion smells perfumey great, like old school Goldwell conditioner before that brand started experimenting with weird boutique scents. The performance of the conditioner was exactly what I wanted from it, no more, no less. Basically it gives the strands a protective coating of ‘cones, to make it appear fuller, enhance shine and allow it to stand up to heat styling better. And it washes back out easily with clarifying shampoo. This is no treatment conditioner and I have no illusions about the star ingredients really being able to do much for my hair given that they are fairly low on the list of ingredients. This is a great pre-styling conditioner for the money and it smells fantastic, and that is exactly what I wanted.

Works well with the shampoo to leave my hair full and soft. Can no longer find 🙁

I use this frequently just because I love the smell and it’s cheap. However I’ve noticed this may have dulled my shine, and leaves buildup. Also this was drying, and made my hair tangly. Oh but the smell, I can’t resist!!!

Such a great product. I can easily untangle my thin hair… though I have lots of it.

This is Suave’s knock off of Pantene. If you think your getting just as good of a product at cheaper your not. Read the ingredients before buying! Its not a terrible conditioner, but its not near as moisturizing as the real Pantene version. That may not be a problem for normal hair types but for those of use that need moisture its not gonna be enough!. There is far less panthenol and other moisturizing ingredients in this conditioner, and it contains TEA-deodbendensulfonate (spelling may not be quite accurate) which can be drying. If your hair is dry and you want to save a buck or two, buy the Suave Thick and Full shampoo , which is actually much better than the Pantene Full and Thick shampoo because it does not conatain sodium lauryl sulfate like Pantene, and use the “real” Full and Thick conditioner!

Maybe my hair isn’t as dry as some others, because this is my holy grail conditioner. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, but it’s creamy enough to moisturize and leave it soft. All of that for a dollar! *edit* I just got my hair cut today and the stylist told me how healthy my hair is. Even after 6 months without a trim, all she had to do was dust my ends a bit, because there was so little damage. This shampoo and conditioner saved my hair from a drastic cut.

This is Suave’s answer to Pantene’s Full and Thick conditioner. I have used Pantene’s version and I love it, the Suave version does not live up to it. The conditioner is thin, almost runny, and it doesn’t feel like it’s conditioning my hair. While Suave’s shampoo version of this is great, I think I’ll stick to the Pantene version of the conditioner.
