I am 3b natural. I wear my hair either curly or wear my hair in a roller set. I bought this conditioner as I heard it was good for dry damage hair. I used this under the steamer for 20 mins. Afterwards my hair felt so dry and brittle. I am thinking that this is due to it having protein but my hair is not protein sensitive. The consistency is rather light and not as thick as I though it would be.Either way I will not be using it again and am thinking of throwing it away.

I thought this would be good for my hair because I dye it a lot. Lately it is fried from over doing it. It was an ok conditioner and I didn’t leave it in for hours or use heat. My hair feels thick & coarse but not fried or like straw. It could be worse but maybe I expected too much out of this.

this is an ok deep conditioner. I prefer heavier hydration but this certainly isn’t bad.

PROS: Although I am caucasian with very fine hair and this product is for African-American hair, I love it as a pre-shampoo treatment on my fine and very dry hair. Reasonable price. Smells good.
CONS: None I can think of.
APPLICATION TIPS: I actually use it before the shampoo. I wet my fine but very dry hair, towel dry it and then put this on. Let it sit for a few minutes. Comb through with wide-tooth comb and let it sit a few more minutes. Then rinse with cool water before shampooing.
ALTERNATES for deep conditioning, I love Organic Root Stimulator’s Olive Oil conditioner and for something less heavy than this, you can try L’oreal’s Nature’s Therapy “Mega Strength” or “Mega Moisture.” (The last two can be found at Sally’s Beauty Supply.)
