One nice thing about the Test Tubes from New Beauty is that they do send many full-size products. This conditioner, a 12 fl oz bottle, was in my last box (September 2018) before I unsubscribed. My hair is dry and colored. I don’t try to get this product down onto the scalp, just put it on washed hair which the excess water has been wrung out of in the shower. I do tend to wash twice a week. The product dispenses as that slightly waxy whitish gel we all know in conditioners.
Pros:
–Yummy fragrance…kind of a piña colada thing going on there.
–It does make my hair softer.
–It does not seem to strip color.
–For those who care about parabens or sulfates, this product claims to contain neither. Ingredients listed here:
Cons:
–Cell therapy? For something that is already dead? Whatever…#eyeroll Maybe if I were putting the product right down on my scalp, I would see a difference, but I am still skeptical that a tiny amount of herbal extracts can cause any positive clinical effect. (And I’m not down on supplements for hair overall; I found that Nutrafol really works for me. But topical herbals, eh….)
–The price. $56USD for a 12 fl oz bottle. Expensive AF.
I am taking one lipstick off for the price and one for the b.s. cell therapy claims. There must be products out there that achieve the same results for much cheaper.
