First of all, this product should be called a mask or treatment, not conditioner. It is a great product that my dry locks can not live without, and so much easier than smothering them with actual olive oil (and better smelling!) This should be used as a pre-shampoo treatment for 5 minutes or longer. and only on the ends. Use sparingly too. I use only once a week, twice in winter. It smells like fresh lemon or orange, not olives. Great for the price.

I bought this because long term use of Giovanni conditioner left my hair feeling drier (even though I did not heat style at all, got a trim, and did not bleach or lighten.) I was hoping this would help, but it was a nightmare. The only positive thing I can say about it is that I love the scent. It smells like fresh citrus. Unfortunately, it left parts of my hair greasy and matted, yet other parts were parched and frizzy as ever. I ran my hand through my hair and I immediately wanted to wash my hand because of the slick greasy feeling. I have dry hair and nothing short of not washing for days can get it even close to greasy. What puzzles me is that my ends were still dry as at the desert and my crown was a frizzball. The yucky slick coated parts were so bad that I washed my hair with a heap of the dreaded clarifying shampoo (which I hate and I almost never wash my hair 2 days in a row). I only have two lippies for the scent.

I love this as a deep conditoner! I have been trying to use it as a conditioner for con-wash (curly girl method whatever you wanna call it) but i have found it is too heavy. It is difficult to make sure that you have washed it all out but when you do manage to, it leaves hair soft and managable. The absolute best thing about this conditoner is the smell. It is amaaaazzziinngggg.
