This conditioner contains kukui nut oil (Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil). It doesn’t contain sulfates or silicones or parabens or a long list of other chemical ingredients. It has great slip and a very faint fragrance. It doesn’t smell like coconut or pineapple or anything Hawaiian, which I find a plus. The kukui nut oil is supposed to be great for frizz. I follow the Curly Girl Method with no silicones, mostly because silicones weigh my hair down. I have fine, naturally curly hair and this product doesn’t weigh down my curls. I also use it as a leave-in, although there is a leave-in conditioner in this line. There is also a cleansing conditioner, but I use a sulfate-free shampoo with neem and tea tree from Alaffia. I bought this conditioner at Whole Foods for around $10 for 12 oz., which I think is a little pricey. I don’t use that much, though to get the slip I need. I used the Alba Botanica fragrance free line of shampoos, conditioners, and hair gels for years, and my hair was in great condition. They discontinued that line, unfortunately.
