This one recently changed it’s scent! It now just smells clean with a mild scent. The oily consistency even changed too! It’s now the consistency of a typical conditioner, creamy and thick. It somehow still works the same though. It previously had smelled a lot like the Old Spice aftershave my grandfather wore. It previously had a weird, thin, oily texture.
This stuff is pretty amazing. I have very dry, coarse and curly hair. I use it as a cowash and leave in conditioner. It moisturizes my hair without it feeling weird (greasy, oily) afterward. It also works well on my daughters straight, normal hair. It leaves our hair looking very healthy. It doesn’t build up fast and I use the matching shampoo maybe once a week. I would say that some people might not like this because it doesn’t have a lot of silicones. The slip isn’t that great. But if I can detangle my knots fairly easily with this, it’s pretty good! I find it at Walmart for like $7 a liter.
HG!

I bought this without reading reviews first. After coming on here I was a bit surprised to read such good reviews! I am personally not a fan of the smell for one–to me it smells like old lady perfume :/ Second, it makes my hair seem to fall out more than with other conditioners. I do feel the actual conditioning is pretty good, but not the best. Again, the smell keeps me from grabbing this when I wash my hair! In my opinion, a 3.5/5.

*Update- I’m going to drop one lippie, only because I’ve noticed with more use I noticed my hair got a little crunchier, which can happen with coconut oil. But it could just be me, if your hair responds better to coconut oil then that probably does not happen. My hair is just finicky, so give it a try if you are a coconut oil fan. I still could use it, just not on a regular basis.**
This is a first impression of this product and I will say that I am very impressed so far! The Renpure company is owned and operated by the Redmond family- the ones who first owned the Aussie line from 1979 until about 2003 when it was obtained by Proctor and Gamble. They started the Aussie company with the 3 Minute Miracle, which was very different from what is on the market now. They also made the Mega Shampoo with papaya and the Moist shampoo (also not what is currently on the market). Their products were natural and absolutely wonderful! And for those who were buying hair products in the eighties, you’ll remember that they were the family in the big white bathrobes in all their ads. As their product line grew, the family grew, and they really made some great products. Dear Redmonds, why did you sell your company? You had such wonderful products! But now, they have returned, hooray!, and the next generation is making these new Renpure products. Their products have natural ingredients, are sulfate free, they do not contain parabens and are safe for color treated hair.
I just tried the Coconut Cream shampoo and conditioner. I had to switch from the Dove Oil Therapy that I had been really happy with- it gave great moisture, but it also gave me dandruff! I have heard other people say they had the same problem with Dove Intensive. I thought I would have better results with something more natural and since I had loved the original Aussie line so much, I was very glad to give the Renpure line a try. This conditioner is very soft and silky on the hair without being heavy or weighted down. It is a thick cream when it comes out of the squeeze bottle and the scent is a very light, fresh, coconut milk scent which does not smell like some coconut products- some have that synthetic type of coconut which can be a bit too strong. This is just fresh, clean and soft in the fragrance and it also leaves your hair feeling fresh, clean and soft. AND, it still gives plenty of body. For reference, my hair is very dry, color treated, fine textured but full, and naturally curly (caucasian). I have a very hard time finding any shampoos and conditioners that I like and have tried a multitude of products. I got these for $2.99 each for 12 oz bottles at TJ Maxx and the larger bottles are around $6 at Walmart. They have a store locator on their website Renpure.com.
Renpure makes several different types of shampoos and conditioners including an argan, a biotin, a brazilian straight, and almond milk ( I cannot find this one in stores yet). Some of them contain a red seaweed ingredient and since I am allergic to that, I cannot use those. But I will definitely be using this one and I am so glad that this family has come back with some wonderful products!

YES! Agree with the other reviews. This stuff is super luxurious! I usually buy a cheap but natural conditioner as shaving cream that can double as a fill-in if I run out of my order-online-only hair products…and was very surprised by how amazing this stuff is. I instantly felt my hair soften and condition in the shower, and it blow dried out to glossy and voluminous hair that wasn’t weighed down. It felt like a very expensive hair mask and smells like coconut milk. This is amazing…I may just make this my main hair conditioning product. Plus it’s good for the environment and natural! All great stuff, high recommend, and you can’t beat the price! Got this at target for $5.

I’ve been using this with the matching shampoo. It actually doesn’t have a coconut scent which I was surprised about, it smells light and clean like a bubblebath type of a scent. It leaves my hair feeling fresh and so healthy. It rinses really clean and my hair is still bouncy/thick afterwards. My hair feels soft but not too soft. Overall I think it’s perfect for daily use.

I’m really surprised this conditioner doesn’t have more reviews. I was kinda tight with my money this week but ran out of my shea moisture shea butter conditioner and decided to take a chance on this product because it was about 6 dollars cheaper at Target. OMG I cannot say enough good things. First of all, the smell isn’t super coconutt-y but it does smell really fresh and light. The fragrance sticks around in my hair all day and I love having my hair smell so good. Secondly, for a while now the ends of my curls have been SO ROUGH and dry and hard to deal with (think an SOS pad, yes I know I need to get a trim) And after seriously one use of this conditioner they were tame and smoothed out A LOT and my curls are just all around less frizzy and more touchable. I also used a bit as a leave in on my ends and it worked great for that too. LOVE this product.

I am a big coconut fan so I had to get this. It doesn’t have a generic or overly sweet coconut smell. It is more light but pleasant. It has good slip and rinses clean. It moisturizes very well too. My hair is left soft and conditioned and my curls didn’t fall flat. It does contain amodimethicone so use a clarifier every now and then. I don’t have the matching shampoo so I can not comment on how well it pairs with this. I use it with the Brocato Cloud 9 shampoo and have good results.
