My staple rinse out conditioner. I follow my Trader Joe’s Tea Tree shampoo or Mielle Organic’s CoWash with this conditioner and it leaves my hair so soft and has amazing slip plus it smells heavenly. Hope they never discontinue it. I’m natural with 3c/4a hair typing reference.

Love this conditioner. I have very dry and frizzy curly hair and am therefore super picky about conditioners. This has great slip and conditions nicely. I’ve repurchased over and over again.

I think this conditioner is a step up from the shampoo. I bought this shampoo and conditioner set for my fine hair in the winter, when I get a terrible case of static electricity in my hair that does not go away unless I use a heavy conditioner. The shampoo does not sufficiently cleanse my scalp, but the conditioner does a decent job of keeping my hair static free. This is a budget buy, so I do not expect miracles, but I do wish that the conjunction worked a little better for my hair type.

HG Conditioner right here!
I absolutely love this conditioner. I have quite fine, 2b wavy hair that’s been dyed a lot of times. This conditioner was my first foray into the Curly Girl method, and I was astonished by the fabulous results – what do you mean my hair can feel soft and healthy?
I was nervous about the adjustment period people talk about when I started CG, but from my very first time using this to cleanse my hair, my hair looked soft and clean, just like I’d shampooed it, only better. When I wash my hair now, I usually first use a reasonable amount and massage it through all my hair like shampoo, and then rinse it out very thoroughly. I then put ridiculously large amounts of it in my hair (mostly just the length, unless the hair on my scalp has been bleached recently), and work it through, detangling. I’ll then put it up on my head on a ponytail while I do the rest of my showering, and then at the end take it back down and use the “squish to condish” method, rinsing a lot of it out, but leaving some in.
There are a couple drawbacks to keep in mind, though they wouldn’t stop me from purchasing over and over:
– The smell. Some people like it I guess, but it just smells pretty gross and chemical-y to me. Nothing I can’t live with, but enough that I’ve thought about trying to refragrance it somehow myself.
– This contains some ingredients that hair loves, but skin hates, so I have to be careful to wash my face last in the shower, and to try to keep my hair off my face at least until it’s dry, or it’ll break me out.
– Only one of the bottles I ever had had the difficult-to-squeeze-the-product-out problem some people mention. But then I dropped it on the floor, the top part of the lid came off, and after I stuck it back on, there were zero problems
But other than that, this conditioner is my one true love. I’ve flirted with a couple other CG approved products, like Shea Moisture products, and the Yes to Cucumbers conditioner, but none of the alternatives were able to give me the fabulous clumps of curls I get from this one. Just buy it!

This conditioner had such a pleasant smell. It smells of soft baby powder. The tube packaging worked well in the shower. I have curly hair that is dyed black. I first shampooed with Yes to Carrots nourishing shampoo and then followed up with this conditioner. It took a little bit for the conditioner to settle in. The detangling process wasn’t as smooth as it usually is with my V05. After the shower I applied more and let it sit in my hair for a whole day with a plastic cap over my head. (That’s wasn’t intentional I’m just lazy). Today I rinsed out the excess and scrunched my curls and air dried. My hair is soft fluffy and pretty! The curls have movement even though I didn’t rinse enough out. Next time I know I can get away with less. Overall I’m happy. It’s a pleasant conditioner.

I tried the “pampering conditioner” version and I must say the “nourishing conditioner” version is A LOT better with a huge improvement. Has the same fragrance, but I feel it’s a little more creamy and gives more moisture without weighing down my thick and dry hair.
Yes I would re-purchase this product again!

I adore this conditioner. I have been searching for low sulfate and silicone free products and this shampoo and conditioner fit the bill. I have straight fine hair with high porosity so occlusives/oils work nicely with my hair type to seal in moisture and protect water/humidity from getting into my hair and frizzing it up. I actually felt like my hair had weight to it (if that makes sense) but not a way where it was limp at the roots. It also felt thicker when I went to wrap my hair in a pony tail which surprised me. Did I mention the silkiness? I felt like I didn’t even need a leave in after this. So excited!

I love this stuff! I’m going cruelty free and this stuff is amazing! It’s a bit of a splurge for a cheapsake like myself, but It isn’t too bad. I pay about 8 or 9 dollars for a bottle. It last a while too, so I don’t feel too bad for spending the money.
That being said, this stuff leaves my hair so soft and smooth. I also really like the sent of it. For a natural product it suds up well too. I’ve tried a few cruelty free hair products and they just dried out my hair. I have oily-ish hair and wash daily and this doesn’t overly dry or cause it to be more oily.
I’d recommend, and I just bought my second bottle today!

A friend of mine gave me this conditioner and I almost threw it out because I had so much conditioner already. I am so glad I didn’t!
This is one of the best conditioners I have ever used! I have wavy, shoulder length, layered, coarse, semi-thick hair (semi-thick meaning it has thinned significantly after 2 children, but still considered texture-wise to be on the thick side!) and I hate using watery conditioners that do absolutely nothing. This is not too thick, but it is rich and emollient and of any conditioner I have used, I get the best results from this. I never condition my roots because since my hair has thinned it gets oily quickly. I apply this starting around mid ear and down to the ends, comb through, and leave it on about 5 minutes while I finish my shower. I use it in conjunction with Paul Mitchell Extra Body shampoo.
My hair is always soft, frizz-free and shiny after I use this! I usually blow my hair straight and I am always pleased with how it looks when I use this conditioner. I have tried others like Bumble and Bumble Thickening, Giovanni Thickening conditioner, etc., and I always come back to this one.
It’s a great value – huge bottle that runs anywhere from 7.99 to 8.99 and since it’s a rich product, you don’t need a lot, so it lasts a while. My daughter and I both use it and I think I have had my bottle over 6 months. The smell isn’t awesome – I find it’s kind of bland, but it’s fresh and it fades a bit once I rinse it out.
This is definitely a keeper for me!

I have grown to really love this stuff! I was devastated to find I am allergic to gluten, and especially corn derivatives (we’re talkin’ 300 ingredients here….) and was SO excited to find a conditioner that is pretty safe! At first I was frustrated it wasn’t moisturizing enough, though I really loved the smell and texture of it. I ended up cutting off all my damaged hair, and now I see its full benefits. Think about it…if the conditioner doesn’t have intrusive chemicals in it, would you really expect dramatic results? Those dramatic results we see in other conditioners–are they healthy? Are they just superficial? The trick with this stuff is to leave it in for 5 minutes or even 10… so do your hair first then leave it in while shaving, masks, scrubbing, (teeth brushing?) etc….. So yeah, this has turned out to be one of THE BEST conditioners I have used…and I have certainly been in love with conditioners before. Mainly softening/hydrating ones. I don’t even need to brush my hair out of the shower.
