This spray is designed to revive second and third day curls. It works, although I can’t use it too many days in a row because it makes my hair gummy. A better way for me to revive my curls is to just use Evian Facial Spray on my hair and scrunch it into place.

This product actually worked. I sprayed it on second day botticelli curls and it added volume and definition. Helped a bit with frizz because it helped define the curl but more importantly did not add extra frizz as other curl refreshers always do to my hair. It’s raining and I’ve been in and out and no extra frizz at the end of the day. Not sticky, not heavy.
***i have completely changed my opinion of this product since my original review. I must have just had a good hair day with it the first time. This product makes my hair a huge frizzy sticky mess.

This doesn’t do anything beneficial to my hair. It actually makes it dry and sticky, whether I use it on dry hair as a refresher or on wet hair to enhance curl. This has been sitting on a shelf, getting little to no love. Waste of money for me.

I love this stuff. I have coarse, low-porosity, 3b/a red hair. I’ve been buying this spray for years, and I usually carry it with me wherever I go. This is a wonderful refresher for frizzed out hair, and second day hair. It makes my curls spring back into definition. I don’t use this for hold, but I use it to “reactivate” creams or gels that provide hold. Botanical Boost smells fresh and clean and it coats curls with a light layer of hydration.

I got this, a shampoo, a conditioner, a climate control gel as a travel sized pack. This product is good in that it at least does what it claims – it detangles well. The packaging is fantastic and the spray atomiser disperses the product really well onto your hair, coating a large surface area at one time. It temporarily gives your hair the slip it needs while you detangle it right after a shower. Since most of it is water, it dries off eventually. The residue left behind (if at all) is hardly noticeable, and you can style as usual.
It’s an effective but expensive detangler. But I think aloe vera juice would do the same job just as well, at a much lower cost. So, not buying it again.

I was excited about this product and couldn’t wait to try it because of all the reviews.
It was like spraying water on my hair and did nothing to revive my fine thin curly hair.
What a rip off!

Okay I just bought this stuff literally an hour ago and as I sit here skyping my bf, I sprayed some on my hair and gave it a little mini shake. Now, I have thick, coarse, highly porous yet still healthy curly African American hair and I could feel my hair soften up nearly instantly! Also, it made my curls curl even more and my hair just feels soft and moisturized and lovely. Since I haven’t actually gone about my hair routine and put it in, and since I haven’t tried it on damp or dry hair, I’m going to leave it at a three. I’ll edit my review when I test it more, but for now it seems very promising.
Edit: Sorry, but this wasn’t what I thought it was. When it dried it left my hair feeling more dry (although it DID feel softer) and moisture comes before soft in my book. It also did nothing for my wet hair. I gave it to a friend. 🙁

I am shocked that after the reviews and in general thinking this line would just be hype and mediocre, taht I actyually love with Botanical Boost. To begin with it might work for me solely since I have fine to medium naturally loose wavy hair (sounds liek all the course tight curled girls arte the ones who this doesnt work for). FOr me this works because it is a super fine light mist. I have spent basically years trying to find the perfect stylign products to give my defined frizz free waves and have failed no amtter how high end the liens Ive used. Curls creams end up feeling like ehavy leave in conditioner and not giving my any definition and mousses/gels leave my hair weighed down and crunchy. Also I have tried all sorts of pomades and mists to use as finishing products or even second day refreshers to calm down teh frizz after I sleep on my hair. However the serums/pomades leave your hair sticky and gooey and add more frizz or the msits end up making my waves all wet and weighed down. This mist is the absolute first that calms down all my second day frizz, leaves my waves sleek/defined/moisturized, and doesn’t wegh my hair down of leave it wet. It is jsut an amzing product especially is summer and just really refreshes my waves in every sense. Plus love the natural ingredients and and herbal smell. I am so glad my Sephora carries this line in person and not just online. This product working so great for me really makes me super curious to try the Shampoo/Mousse/Gels now to see if they work jsut as well. Don’t hesitate to try this if you have fussy wavy hair like mine or honestly just as a leave-in on any hair type since it is super light and will never cause buildup imo! 🙂

Essentially did nothing. My hair was dry, frizzy and coarse if used without a rinse out conditioner. As a styling product, it is just OK.

I used to use this when my hair was shorter (above chin length and curly). I liked it back then. Liked, not love. Now my hair is below shoulder length and curly. I can’t get BB to work for me now. I was hoping I could use it to revive my curls after I’ve worn it pulled back in a ponytail or bun all day — which is basically hoping to have nicely formed chunky frizz-free curls from flatness. No dice. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic. I will have to try it to revive my curls after I’ve already worn my hair loose and curly all day. I dunno. The more products I try for curl reviving, the more I like my aloe vera gel. :/ I will post an update if/when I get this product to work well for me.
