Terrible product. It left my hair dry and clown orange-red. Not chocolate at all. Now I have dry hair that looks like I hennaed it. I applied this ONLY ONCE and my hair is now seemingly permanently orange-red. I have washed it multiple times with Dawn dishwashing liquid, alone and mixed with baking soda, rinsing with vinegar, hot-oil treatments, you name it. I now have to pay a professional to GET THIS OUT OF MY HAIR, which I’m sure will further damage it.
Side note: this will also stain your tub/shower, hands, clothing, and anything else it comes in contact with. Again, good luck getting those stains out.

I have the red one. I love it. I have natural strawberry red hair and with this over top it just brings out the red so much. I will say I was scared to use it for like a year because the conditioner is hot pink, but it is not hot pink at all if you’re putting it over red hair. It would definitely be pink on blonde hair though. My hair is super soft when I use this as well.

This is the only coloured conditioner I’ve used that actually *conditions* my hair. It doesn’t dry it out, it tames frizz and gives my hair a healthy shine. I’m growing the roots out, which are dark mousey blonde, and I don’t like my yellowish platinum ends that tell the story of my countless bleach/dye jobs. Tip: if you don’t want a typical silver blonde, mix two parts “Alchemic Silver” (a purple shade) with one part “Alchemic Red” (which in fact is a warm, saturated pink). I apply this conditioner to lenghts and ends, wait about 5 minutes and have the most beautiful pastel pink ombre that fades gradually and lasts for about 3 washes. The only thing I dislike is the unpleasant, chemical smell which seems to last forever.

I have this conditioner and shampoo in copper and I LOVE it. My warm colored hair tends to fade quickly and this adds gorgeous dimensional hues that leave my hair soft and don’t weigh it down. I love the natural aroma and I’m going to definitely get this in golden and red as well. ❤

I have this conditioner in golden. Total waste of money. Does not condition, does not add any colour to my highlighted thin hair, and most of all – smells very chemical. This chemical smell stays until I wash my hair again. I don’t have habit to throw away products I don’t like, I try to use them up no matter what – but this conditioner goes to the bin after I used it 4 times. I can’t stand the awful smell and it does nothing to my hair, it looks like I didn’t use conditioner at all.

I use the silver conditioner (actually purple) on my highlighted hair, and it works wonders at reducing brassiness while providing a good deep conditioning. The scent is nice and very subtle. I originally bought the small tub but recently ordered the 33 oz.

This is a review for the silver version. I’ve had bleached white blonde hair for a year and a half. I love the color on me, but it was getting to the point where the damage and dryness were pushing me to considering ways to go back to my natural brown. A few days ago I got my roots touched up and cut it to a long bob and left the salon loving the cut but so sad that it looked dry. I was thinking if even a professional couldn’t get it to look shiny and healthy then I guess it is time to say goodbye. It was also still a little yellow in spots. Having tried and liked other Davines products, I decided this seemed like a product worth splurging on. The first time I used it, I left it in as long as normal conditioner. It left my hair a little softer and less yellow then when I left the salon. I washed my hair again a couple days later (both times using a deluxe sample of Living proof’s no frizz shampoo, which is a nice option). This time I used the Davines like a mask leaving it in for ~5 minutes. The product spreads nicely. I used like a cherry sized amount to coat thick, shoulder length hair.
Now I have like shiny angel hair! I am so in love. My hair hasn’t felt this nice in a few months. I have some breakage that left short pieces on top that the stylist didn’t cut. Even those are smoothed out; so, I know it is the Davines and not just the cut. So happy not to have unintentional scene girl hair anymore! I’ve only used Shimmer Lights shampoo or conditioner in the past for toning. The Davines is significantly better for the moisture and softness. Also, I like the color I get more with the Davines, but that is more personal preference. It is slightly more silver and edgy. Shimmer Lights gives me either a more typical blonde platinum or it can start getting into purple tinted territory. It is also kind of drying; so, even if it is cheaper I need to use more products to detangle and add moisture. I think the Davines is worth the price. When my hair dries this nice, I do not need to do as much maintenance throughout the week- saving time, products, money. It also has a nice scent!

I have long, fine, thin, dyed red hair that tends to weigh down and get oily very easily (aka ‘Sad White Girl Hair’). I used this weekly (or whenever I felt like it), usually by leaving it on for half an hour and either following or mixing with a deep conditioner.
I purchased this product in the red after battling fading for months. I had previously used the Revlon Nutri Color Creme, but I found the consistency and packaging annoying so I decided to change it up.
The Davines works, giving a nice color boost and conditions *a little*; I found the smell and texture pleasant. It was a nicer consistency than the Revlon, but didn’t give as strong color results; considering that and the price point, I’ll probably go back to the Revlon. Not a bad product if you’re a fan of the line, but I don’t think it’s the most effective product on the market.
However, a big plus is that it got rid of a great deal of oil and product build up without stripping my color, meaning it extended my shampoos. A lifesaver, since even the most gentle, sulfate-free, herbalicious, hippy-dippy shampoos strip red color like there’s no tomorrow!

I bought this product in chocolate after my hairdresser tried it on me last time I had my color done. I am a die hard fan of Kerastase products, but this conditioner is sooooo much better than Kerastase masks/conditioners.
I like the texture (sort of creamy gel), the scent is not too powerful and most of all it enhances my color bringing back the chocolate intensity of the hair color. It does not weight my hair down (I have plenty of fine hair), it is not heavy or sticky (unlike some Kerastase masks that leave my hair quite “dirty”). it contains 250ml, the price is quite steep, but a little goes a long way (about 5 months using it 2 x week on past shudder length hair). i put it on from mid lengths to the ends and put my hair in a bun. I wrap the hair in cling film and leave it on for about 30 minutes. I rinse it off and carry on with the blow dry. My hair is soft, shiny, ight and the color is revitalised.
I am planning to try the shampoo from the same line as I am really impressed. I tried “pigmented” shampoos by Bumble and Bumble and John Frieda in the past and they were horrible.
This conditioner/mask by Davines is great! The packaging is sort of 60s style. The ingredients are botanical and the manufacturing process + packaging are environmentally friendly. I also like that the Davines products are not manufactured by the usual massive multinational that is just interested in making as much money as possible.

I did not care for this product at all, and found that it did nothing to help brighten my blonde. And, the smell: well, I found it to be offensive and overwhelming. I washed my hair mid afternoon, and all I could smell throughout the night was this powdery, patchouli like scent. The next day I was so disappointed that I spent $40.00 (I live in Canada) on a product that did nothing for me. Fortunately, the salon I purchased it at returned it with no questions asked. My take on this line is that it is expensive for what you get. If you want a great purple product, try the JOICO shampoo, as it does the trick!
