My review is for the new Smooth Intense in the Rose Pink bottle. I bought the matching shampoo and it’s superb however this matching conditioner does absolutely nothing, I have to be very careful that it doesn’t touch my roots because they become very oily. This conditioner leaves my hair dry and frizzy, it has to be the wheat protein, will stick with the Elvive “Extraordinary Oil for Curls” conditioner.

This conditioner actually made my color-treated hair DRIER somehow. I like the scent, and it was really thick but my hair is definitely drier after using it. Suave at the quarter of the cost works better.

I love this stuff!
My hair: naturally frizzy, baby fine, color treated, tangles easily and I get Brazilian Blowouts to get rid of frizz. This conditioner leaves my hair silky, shiny and tangle free. I’ve had the worst luck with L’Oreal hair products. The Everpure line is horrid on my hair. My hair was a hellacious, tangled MESS when I used Everpure.
I bought this after hearing somebody on You Tube eave about it. This stuff leaves my hair silky and tangle free. Cosmetics and hair care products are subjective, what works for some just does not cut the mustard for others. It seems the previous reviews who have coarse hair hated this product. I would recommend this if you have baby fine hair like me.that is prone to tangle.

I have thick course/dry hair and this conditioner smoothed out my hair-but it felt like I smoothed it out with greasy baby oil!
This was horrible! I felt so bad for throwing out a nearly half empty bottle-but even this made my sister’s damaged dyed hair look like greasy.
Be warned that this conditioner is really really greasy and gross.

I have curly, thick hair and this product made it more frizzy and poofy! It’s awful and the opposite of what I wanted!

I have extremely coarse, thick, curly long [Afro-Rican] hair so finding good hair care products are a major chore. Given that, its pretty rare I find a drugstore brand product that works for me; my mane needs undiluted and highly concentrated products which sadly most often equates to higher prices. So imagine my surprise when I picked up this product, gave it a whirl, and liked it!
Pros:
-Contains Keratin, Coconut compounds, and Wheat Protein
-It has a ton of slip
-Gave a nice deep condition even though it was not a heavy treatment
-Left my hair extremely soft once dry – I couldn’t stop touching it actually.
-Provided a lot of shine
-This stuff smells great! The scent lasted all day and night and I got lots of complements
-Runs between $3-$6 depending on the sale/place of purchase.
-Color me superficial but I really like this sleek black tube packaging.
Cons:
-Has a ton of ingredients which seem completely unnecessary, with Sodium Laureth Sulfate topping the list.
-Almost left my hair too soft; I got fly-a-ways which NEVER happens to me/my hair.
-My hair is extremely knotted the next morning and a pain to untangle.
When it comes to this conditioner the good definitely outweighs any negatives I incurred. Because I was trying this stuff out and wanted to avoid the use of other leave in or additional products which could skew my opinion, this is probably why I noticed the “fly away” effect usually associated with an over abundance of protein. However, this is easily rectified by adding an after product to weigh my hair down a bit more. Now that I have experimented a bit with various leave in products, the problem has dissipated enough that its not such an annoyance. Regardless, the cons won’t keep me from using or repurchasing this product. L’Oreal makes really good conditioning products for all hair types and considering they also own kerastase which makes quite comparable products at a vastly different price point (kerastase btw also gives me the same problems as Smooth Intense does), I think I will stick with this line for a while.
I recommend this product. And at this price, how can anyone really go wrong?
