I’m loving this new corrector from YSL. Touche Eclat has become my secret weapon as I’ve grown older (it’s so subtle yet so effective and so kind to aging skin) so I thought I’d try this to correct the melasma on my cheeks and chin. I love the texture, the applicator, the ease of application, the formula, and what it does to correct my dark spots. Mind you–let me say this right now–this is NOT a full-coverage concealer–it’s Touche Eclat with a light/medium light apricot tint–so this is not going to cover everything. I’ve gone the full-coverage color-corrector route and found it to be time-consuming and tedious to get it to look like I don’t have an even more uneven skintone or cakey spots all over my face. However, spot-applied under makeup, it really tones down the brown spots so I can use much less concealer on top on my foundation, making my skin look more even without cakiness or uneven texture. My skin looks far more flawless and even when using this, and the thinness of the formula eliminate the layered, uneven look you can get when using heavy-duty concealer (which I need to really cover the melasma). You dab, blend, and go about doing your makeup as usual. Remember, you’re not going to get full coverage, but the coverage it gives is incredibly natural. I’m very pleased with this purchase despite the usual YSL price and will consider purchasing the other shades (green and lavender) to correct all the problem areas on my face. I will repurchase, without a doubt.
