   I have these correctors in Bisque and Violet and like them very well, so I decided to give Vert a spin. I find it very effective for covering up redness on and just above my nose without looking obvious under foundation. And I love the click-pen applicator and the ability to apply it precisely. As with the others, this is sheer (which I like, because it’s not a thick layer under foundation, which can be aging), so if you have real problems with redness, it may not do the trick. The only issue I had was that the first time I used it, I applied it without using my staple Clinique Pore Minimizer underneath, and I was surprised to see how oily my nose looked after a couple of hours (I have dry skin–very unusual for me). However, over the Pore Minimizer, it was perfect. I got a generous sample of this from Choix, but plan to buy the full size when I finish the sample. I have to add that I use many color correctors in the past when they were in vogue, off and on, but the sheerness, texture, and component make these the best I’ve ever used. Bravo YSL!

   I purchased this a few days ago in an experiment to see if I can get away by just using a color corrector or how it plays with foundation. There are some things it does well, other things it just does not work for me personally, but might jive better with other people of certain skin types.

   The product comes in clickpen format, which is great if you happen to travel a lot. Unlike the Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher pens, you click the button on the bottom and it eventually dispenses product rather lazily. I find the amount dispensed is kind of difficult to predict and sometimes you wind up getting way, way too much. But it is easy to swipe on your face and try and rub it in.

   Except it never completely blends in, and instead, you look like you’re just wearing green-face. If you rub too much, you risk rubbing the product off in flakes. As another reviewer mentioned, it is on the mattifying side. As someone with dry skin, I don’t think it really damaged or caused problems to my skin, but it didn’t really help it either. I could see it being really beneficial for someone of Combination/Normal or possibly even Oily skin types.

   Now, that criticism out of the way, as a redness corrector it *is* effective–for about 6 hours on me. My redness is completely blocked out and it makes it look PERFECT. In a pleasant surprise, it also helped to prevent oxidation, too, I noticed in my case (I’ve been trying Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk for the second time and I’m just a hair too light for it when it oxidizes). About 3 hours in, I can see some of my more persistent red spots (my chin, particularly) start to peek through. 6 hours in and my more prevalent red spots (cheeks, chin, around my brows) and foundation has oxidized. Given that it isn’t intended to be a primer, I’m not upset about that and don’t hold it against it. However, 6 hours for a product in which the sole purpose is to correct redness and at $38, it better be working for at least a full work day minimum.

   With that said, I would not repurchase this product and I intend to return it.

   Pros:

   – Effective at concealing redness for as long as it lasts
   – Unexpectedly helpful in preventing oxidation (I’m unsure if this is just my experience, so ymmv)
   – Easy to travel with product
   – Mattifying effect (for those with less drier skin types)

   Cons:

   – Expensive at $38/0.08 oz
   – Only lasts 6 hours, with it beginning to disappear after 3 hours
   – Mattifying effect (for those with drier skin types)
   – Inconsistent dispensing of product
   – Does not fully blend in, so you cannot wear it alone
   – Flakes off if you rub too much

   New touche eclat colour corrector from ysl. This is the green one, so its to counteract any redness on your face. Comes in the usual touche eclat click pen format.
   Works pretty well for me! It put it on areas around my nose which is most of my red patches. Youre supposed to use it before foundation, so i use it after primer and just before my foundation. At first it looms weird, because you wont be able to blend away all the green, so theres this green patch around my nose. I usually blend around the edge of the green so it will look a bit more natural, but not sure if this is necessary!? Just make surethat all your red patches are covered before you apply your foundation. As soon as you put your foundation on top, the green disappears along with your red patches! Miracle in the form of a touche eclat click pen! I rub my foundation lightly on top of the green, and it doesnt seem to disturb it at all. It covers my red patches very well. Will last all day too! Well, unless i have a runny nose and cant stop blowing it. But it does a great job. Normally need 1.5 clicks to cover that area. It gives a matte finish. Again, i wouldnt recommend using it on dry patches, as it may cling. Dont think its dry, but not hydrating either. Ive used it with the chanel les beiges healthy glow foundation, and its help make me skin look flawless. Doesnt make the foundation cake on top. Not sure what it would like underneath tinted moisturizer though. Have yet to try it on an angry red spot, but would probably perform ok too.
   Great product again from ysl, pricey at £25, but its the only thing that covers my red patches all day, and not irritate my skin. Will repurchase when i finish, unless something better is released then!
