   I’m always looking for a concealer to cover my dark circles and provide brightness, without emphasizing texture (a lot to ask from one product, I know!). The original Touche Eclat wasn’t high coverage enough for me, so I was excited when this high cover version came out. There are a few things I really like about it. One, its texture is very thin, so it’s not prone to caking up. For coverage, I find that one layer actually provides decent coverage, but with two it’s very good. Because of its light texture, adding that second layer doesn’t get make it get cake-y or emphasize lines, for the most part. And it has a subtle light-reflecting brightening effect, unlike some matte concealers. I will say that on days when my circles look extra bad it doesn’t provide enough coverage, but then again I have yet to find a product that does.

   My main complaint is with the packaging. It’s an elegant shiny gold pen, very luxe as you’d expect from YSL. However it usually takes a few clicks to get the product out, and I find that sometimes it lets out too much, leading to wasted product. Because, the leftover product on the pen is a little thicker and goopier, so I don’t really like to use it the next time I reach for it. This might be less problematic if there was more product in the tube, but at .08 oz it’s pretty skimpy. For reference, Tarte Shape Tape has .33 oz, Nars Radiant Concealer has .22 oz.

   So overall I think it’s a pretty nice product, and if not for the dispenser I’d give it five stars. For reference, I’m NW20 and use shade 2.

   This is less than half the size of regular concealers sitting at about 2.5ml 0.08oz of product. Just for comparison the Tarte Shape Tape is 0.33oz, so 4 times the amount of this one. Its really expensive but it works so well. I do about 2 to 3 clicks before each use its the perfect amount. I also spot clean it if its a bit hard on the brush before usage. I havent had a problem with it squirting out product like some of the reviews have stated. After drawing a couple of lines where i want to cover, i use my fingers to blend it into the skin. The product itself is smoothing and it really covers my dark circles like magic. Super hydrating and a creamy but still pigmented while being a fluidy/creamy formula. Ive tried highend to drugstore and i can say this is outstanding and my favorite of them all. I chose the shade Ivory 2 and i usually use Mac NW20, Nars Creme Brule, Too Faced Cream Puff, Tarte Shape Tape b22 Light Beige. Maybelline Age Rewind Light, Chanel 10beige.

   Nars Radiant Creamy(doesnt cover, not good for spot conceal and dissapears mid day) and Soft Matte(way too drying for undereyes)

   Maybelline Age Rewind- doesnt cover and is too sheer but its hydrating

   Shape Tape and Born This Way Super Coverage – so heavy and cakey, drying and creases horribly. Doe foot is way too big.

   Mac Mineralized, too slip and slidey, but good brush tip and its very hydrating. All of Mac other concealers are too dry for undereyes. I also hate the pump of the studio concealer .

   Pros –
   Looks natural and skinlike, Not cakey
   Hydrating and does not eccentuate dry patches
   Smoothing and even application
   Easy to blend and layerable/buildable
   Brightens/Covers dark circles

   Cons –
   Price
   You get very little product
   fades throughout the day
   settle into lines
   The brush can dry and harden from previous build up of product

   edit – I no longer like this concealer, it dissapears midday and looks a bit cakey. I am now using Giorgio Armani Power Fabric 3!!
