I got a sample. I fell in love. I went to 3 different stores to find it, and was told they are only selling it online at CT.com. I may have cried a little. But I ordered it.
I. LOVE.THIS.CONCEALER. I might write that on a bathroom wall.
It is definitely a thinner texture, but that is what I like about it. I have been using the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye and I honestly hate it because it is so thick and it creases within moments after I put it on. I feel like I am putting spackle under my eyes. I tried to love it and I just can’t get there.
But when I got a sample of this, I immediately liked it. My skin is weird because I have hit my 40’s and my once always oily skin has become more dry in areas and I am starting to notice little lines under my eyes- after years of dilligent every day sunscreen wear, so I am not complaining they are only popping up at 43. This is so smooth, spreads easily, but doesn’t cake under my eyes. I can be a little oily there and I find this concealer stays on pretty well.
I admit it looks better on top of foundation because of the thinner texture – I use CT Magic Foundation in 1 fair and the Retoucher in the same color. I put both of these on yesterday, wore them all day, and my skin was just flawless. I have worn this just over the Heliocare 360 face cream and it doesn’t have the staying power over this as well as the foundation. The Heliocare can be a bit greasy, so the concealer slips a little more with just this.
I have dark circles under my eyes and while this doesn’t cover them completely, it has enough pigment to give a very natural look to my skin and I kept going back to it over and over, and putting the Bye Bye Undereye away. If you’re looking for a full coverage in one application concealer, this probably isn’t for you. If you want that in CT products, try the new Magic Away Concealer. I tested it and found it to be very thick and definitely full coverage, but, to me, it was a pricier version of Bye Bye Undereye.
With the Retoucher, I even hunted down my extra sample packet I got when I placed an order at CT, and am holding on to it in case of emergency discontinuation.
I really hope CT doesn’t do that bc I honestly adore this product.

I have the shade fair 2 and it’s a great match for my skin tone (nc20 with yellow undertones).
+ It has a thin texture and feels lightweight.
+ Gives medium coverage.
– Isn’t moisturising
*It sinks only slightly on thin lines but nothing that a little dust of powder wouldn’t correct.
Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer is just the same, so I would recommend the latter. It provides the same coverage, it has the same finish and lasting power.
All in all, it’s a good concealer but my eyeballs have seen better! There is nothing special about it that can justify the price tag.

This product has a fantastic consistency and glides on smoothly. The coverage is great for me. I have read elsewhere that the coverage has been on the thin side, but for me it’s been sufficient and looks very natural.
On the negative side, I still need to gage how many “twists” of the pen are needed to dispense a sufficient blob of the liquid. It seems a 3 or 4 clicks gets me nowhere, but 1 or 2 clicks more and TOO MUCH product is dispensed so I end up using more than I intended. This might just be me! I love this product though and it’s convinced me to try Charlotte Tilbury’s other products when my make-up runs out.

I need this in my life!! I wear Fair#2 which seems to be like, what CT uses on most of her models that are comparable complexion to mine. This product works wonders under eyes & blemishes. I am NC20 which matches #2 it’s a bit paler than NC20 which is okay. This is better than MAC Prep + Prime I’ve not tried YSL touch eclat but I’ve tried L’Oréal which was sup to be a dupe (blech!!) it was so much thinner than the retoucher. I will be rebuying; I need a back up coz I can’t tell how much I’ve got left?? That’s the only thing I fault this (& price!). 1 lippie off for packaging coz u can’t see how much left & it over dispenses product resulting in precious waste!! I’ve loved everything charlotte Tilbury I’ve ever purchased. I hope this lasts for awhile idk if 3.5ML is a lot? I don’t think it is. 15ML is like a half an ounce iirc. I’ll use my garnier eye roller if I run out of this & more month than money. Mental note: received 6/7/17 will post when it gets used up to give a general idea on how long a container lasts. Xx

So I would use this as literally a “retoucher” and not as my main undereye/ corrector concealer. The coverage is ok. It does blend well. However, I find I need a bit more coverage for my under eye and it’s a little too thin for blemishes. I do find it covers redness well. Love the packaging. Although I adore CT’s Magic Foundation, I probably won’t repurchase this one.

Me: Olive NC20ish with dry and sensitive skin.
What I liked: I love Charlotte Tilbury but this is the first product of hers that I’ve really been unimpressed with. On the plus side, the pen packaging itself is her usual pretty rose gold style. It’s also fragrance free. The shade 2 Fair was an ok match for my skin tone.
What I didn’t like: For what’s meant to be an illuminating concealer, this stuff was surprisingly dry especially when used in my under eye area. I keep this area well hydrated but the Retoucher made my under eye look so crepe-y and gave the appearance of wrinkles I didn’t even know I had! I uploaded a pic and if you zoom in you’ll see it! I bought the product specifically for use around my eyes so this is very disappointing. While I’ve not yet found my HG concealer, I’ve tried ones from MUFE, MAC, By Terry, Rimmel and Maybelline that were all better than this stuff. I also found that it had a short wear time but I was expecting that as it’s pretty typical for this type of pen concealer.
If you’re looking for this type of product, I would suggest the By Terry Touche Veloutee. I also really enjoyed Rimmel Match Perfection concealer for a cheaper option.

This is the best concealer I have used for dark circles and imperfections. Doesnt cake like heavier ones – Mac and Clinique – and looks natural. I am pale (Mac NC15) and bought the lightest shade – its perfect.

I have the retoucher in Fair 1, which is a touch to light on my nc18 skin. When I use it around my eyes I get light panda eyes. It’s too dry a formula for my skin and sticks to the dry areas on my skin, so I’m not impressed by this. I do love her light wonder foundation on the contrary!
You get 3.5 ml for $35.

If you love Touche Eclat, you’ll probably love this too. The packaging is very elegant and practical, the color range is somewhat limited (I was lucky with the lightest one), it doesn’t cake or pile up in small lines BUT it is just not enough to cover my dark circles. I ended up using it as a highlighting pen or around my nose. So if you don’t need extra coverage and just want a bit more light in the areas this is a good choice. Not for me, sadly…

This is THE BEST. Brought this after seeing a tip on vogue or elle a when I was looking for a new concealer. I bloody love it!! I ran out of it a week ago and hadn’t time to get a new before a weekend trip and oh boy my makeup looked AWFUL every day that weekend.
This concealer goes on so smooth, good coverage and looked absolutely FLAWLESS. It is amazing!! It’s a bit tricky to get a hold off (live in London) but any of the bigger and more luxurious department stores sell CT. If you can GO AND BUY IT!! You will not regret it!! I’ve used it for 1 year and will not survive without it!!!
