I picked this up at TJ Maxx for $5.99. I figured Kat Von D…worth a try. Although I loved the coverage and how it set with a powder, I was upset that this made me break out. Not break out a few pimples here and there but I actually got a huge cystic looking one and I have not had acne since high school. I pinpointed it to this product because it was the only new product I had tried new. After I stopped using this breakouts cleared up. I gave this to my girlfriend who loves it and so far no break outs for her. She actually says its one of the best concealers she has tried but for now me personally I will stick to my mac prolongwear concealer.

I am so sad that I just discovered this and it’s being discontinued 🙁 This is pretty much everything I look for in a concealer – good coverage, non-drying, and lasting power. I tap this in with my finger and it looks amaze-balls under my eyes. I usually like a concealer for either the under eye OR for blemishes but not usually not both because you’re sort of looking for slightly different things, but this one works really well for either. Even though I have dry skin, makeup does not last well on me. I constantly have smudged mascara even though I always set my under eyes to avoid my mascara breaking down later in the day. Now obviously that’s also a function of the mascara, but I find the concealer and setting powder I use play almost just as important a role. Once I used this? Zero smudging and lasted all day. It was amazing.
Now the shade range doesn’t go very light, which is strange for Kat Von D. I would say I have light/light-medium skin tone and Light 18, the second lightest shade, is an exact match for my NC20/25 skin. Typically I like a concealer that’s a shade lighter for brightening etc. but Light 16 has pink instead of yellow undertones. Just something to keep that in mind if you’re on the paler side.
It’s on sale right now because it’s being discontinued so if you haven’t tried it, I would highly recommend. I’ve already bought backups. For reference, I found the tarte shape tape to be too drying and cakey, I like maybelline fit me for more natural/dry days, and bare minerals serum concealer for really any day of the week.

I picked this up at Marshalls for $8 CAD and I actually like it better as an all over foundation rather than to spot conceal or just to use under eyes. The coverage is good but the texture is weird. It’s hard to explain but it isn’t like a regular concealer.

Bought this on sale for $15 and at first I was a little skeptical because i usually don’t spend much on concealers but I wanted to go ahead and give this one a shot. It is very much worth the money! I love it because it feels so light and most concealers I’ve used felt heavy and cakey on my face but not this one! With this concealer you can easily have sheer coverage if you want or you can build it up for full coverage! This concealer has made it to my holy grail list!

yes its confirmed. the hard tube concealer is replacing the squeeze tube concealer. the hard tube concealer only has a measly 6.5ml worth of product. yet it costs MORE than the squeeze tube concealer which has a generous 17ml worth of product. way to go, kat von d & co. don’t u love it when cosmetic companies cheap out on their products yet jack up their prices.

I give this concealer 5 lippies because it’s been my ride or die for the last several years. It matches my skin tone perfectly, it covers blemishes and acne really well without adding a lot of product, and it lasts a long time. Yes, it is a bit drying sometimes but if you wear moisturizer under it, then it takes care of the dryness. Unfortunately KVD is discontinuing this product which made me very sad. Thanks KVD for having this product out for as long as it did. It was my go to for a long time. If you can get your hands on this product in your area, definitely purchase it before it goes away. It’s a really great product.

Meh. Got the deluxe sample in my Sephora Play box and it is not nearly as good as I had expected. I have been using a Rimmel concealer stick and honestly, it is much much better on my skin than this concealer.
To be fair, my under eye area is dry in spite of my oily T zone and eyelids, but this stuff creased instantly and as I tried to blend it a bit with my beauty blender it almost wiped completely off. When I skip blending and use a setting powder it is dry and cakey and shows every single fine line. I am guessing my under eye skin is too aged and dry for this to work right, but I also patted it on a zit, and when I tried to blend the powder on it wiped right off. I am using my sample just around my nose for color concealing and because I want to give this a fair shake- but two weeks in and I am sure I will not repurchase it.

This concealer is over hyped, it’s actually garbage compared to so many others… It’s cakey, drying and thicker than spackle. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is way better, and as far as drugstore products, I’d rather use Fit me.

I bought the Tarte Shape Tape concealer before this one but was feeling a little on the fence about it. And while I will go back to that at some stage, I thought I’d give this a go in the mean time as the two get compared a lot. This has fast become one of my favourite concealers of all time – it’s super high coverage so gets rid of the dark circles around my eyes & the odd blemish I get from time to time. I don’t always wear foundation & this product is perfect for that as I can just use this where I need it & it blends in flawlessly. It doesn’t sit in fine lines, doesn’t cling to dry patches, doesn’t crease throughout the day & stays put until I take it off. Everything I need a concealer to do!

Great product for covering small scars, red spots and pimples. A little goes a loooooooong way. Staying power is impressive, although not totally flawless, but then again, I have pretty oily skin at the end of the day. I usually bring with me to touch up during the day, and find that does the trick.
A note that I would not use this as a highlighting type of concealer – it is really for covering blemishes, and it does that well, but it’s too thick (IMO) to use under eyes, or to add general lightness to the face.
But it blends like a charm, and just a dot will do! As someone who doesn’t wear a ton of make up or foundation, I love that I can just dot on if I get a spot, top with powder, and not have to apply a full face to cover a zit.
