I bought this in Medium 02 on a whim from the benefit kiosk machine at the airport after reading some good reviews. Honestly, I should be the ideal candidate for this product. I have dry skin with little to no under eye circles, and I use concealer primarily as a under eye brightener. However, even after trying this product multiple ways (setting powder, no setting powder, apply with brush, apply with fingers, draw a triangle under eye, only fill in the under eye trough), I couldn’t figure out a good role for this product in my makeup arsenal.
Fake Up is way too moisturizing to use as a primer and doesn’t have enough sheen or color to highlight with. It also comes in a very limited color range, settles into the lines on my lower lid, doesn’t conceal very well, and doesn’t set properly.
This product always feels like you just swiped lip balm on your under eye. If “lip balm for under eyes” sounds like something you’d like, you might like Benefit’s Fake Up.

This is easy to put on and feels good (it’s moister than most other concealers i’ve tried, but I have very dry undereyes so it’s not exactly dew-ey). I got it in Medium, which was not very brightening but an ok blend with my skintone (pale/medium w/ yellow undertone). This color does’t skew on the yellow side but I’m guessing it’s still pretty neutral, considering the fact that it doesn’t look pink or orange on me, like a good number of concealers do.
The big downside is that it does not last long at all. That and the coverage is just meh. I returned it after a week.

I have repurchased this product twice. It was doing an excellent job of concealing my VERY dark circles as well as illuminating the area, making my eye hollows come forward and look less deep. It’s very creamy and offer medium coverage which you can layer to full coverage. Definitely works best with a setting powder and you need quite a bit of product to get medium-full coverage. It will crease if you don’t set it. The only reason I am not repurchasing is because I have discovered other concealers that are better and moved on to those (Shu Uemura double ended stick concealers). I go through tubes of this too quickly for the price. It seems get used up faster than any other product I own, probably because I need so much to get full coverage. The blendability is excellent but it does not work well on eyelids (instant crease). Good product but there are better ones on the market now.
