this concealer is perfect for my dark circles. surprisingly, this worked better than my Bobbi brown corrector and benefit erase paste. super creamy and not drying at all. works best to be set with a brightening under eye powder like the laura Mercier and elf under eye powders.????

It’s Good: This neutralizes my dark purple/blue under eye circles better than anything else I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot). To be fair, the results are about equally as good as with Laura Mercier secret concealer, but that has parabens and Jane Iredale doesn’t. I switched because I’m trying to get pregnant and with the jury out on parabens didn’t want to take any chances. At first I wasn’t sure about the Jane Iredale enlighten concealer, so I put this under one eye and Laura Mercier under the other eye and it really was equally good.
But You Have To Know How To Use It: I learned to a) moisturize the eye area really well and let the moisturizer absorb for a minute before I b) take the lid off the enlighten concealer, hold it up to my mouth, and exhale a few hot breaths onto the product to soften it up, c) apply onto purple/blue sides of nose and under-eyes (not the crows feet areas!), d) put on some other eye makeup for a minute while it warms up on the skin and settles in, then finally e) pat blend with ring fingers before setting with powder (elf under eye setting powder – again, not on the crows feet areas!).
How It Works: This stuff looks crazy orange, and that’s because it’s the complementary color for purple/blue under eye circles. When you apply it to the purple/blue skin it neutralizes and sort of cancels it out. That said, like every under eye concealer I’ve ever known, this doesn’t make circles disappear without a trace – but it comes closer than the others and looks natural at the same time, so I’m sold. It can crease a little bit after a few hours, but gentle patting with a fingertip fixes it easily. I don’t apply concealer or powder on top of my crows feet areas anymore for this reason (and they aren’t that blue anyway, so I really never needed to, I guess).
It seems a little spendy but a very little bit goes a very long way (and if you’re getting lots of creasing it’s because you’re using too much). I’ve been using everyday for months and have still barely made a dent. Very happy with this product.

This is quite a different concealer compared to the normal ones. It is not good for general uses. It usually looks strangely red or orange. In the beginning I thought I have completely wasted my money. Luckily I didn’t throw it away until I managed to get a bruise on my face! I used practically everything I have to cover up the blueish purple, but it just showed through anyway, until I thought about this product. It indeed only work for very dard under eye circles (that I dont’ have) and bruises or blueish pigmentations. It works like a magic. I only dabbed the bruise with my finger tip twice with the product the bruise dissappeared. And it didn’t look any orange or red. So it is indeed a specialist concealer designed for very specific purposes. I was feeling so thankful for it to cover up my bruise so effortlessly. It also lasts well. I think it’s something worth having although we shouldn’t have bruises on our faces too often. But you never know.
