I firmly believe that there will never be ONE great concealer that fixes every problem. For blemishes on my face (and I get some nasty ones), benefit BOING is my favourite. But, unfortunately, my issues do not end with my face. I get spots on my neck, as well, and those are harder to cover. This Lorac concealer is strangely translucent enough to cover the spots on my (very, very) pale neck without showing, and creamy and buildable enough to do the job–with the right concealer brush, that is. This doesn’t work with fingers, or any other brush besides my Nars flat concealer brush. Between the benefit and this lorac concealer, I’m well covered. I also find that this works well for my undereye circles, as it has a slightly yellow-ish tint (ingenious). I don’t have too much trouble with underye circles, unless I have an allergy attack & get hives around my eyes. Then, C1 and benefit lemon-aid to the rescue. Overall, I would say that Lorac C1 is really a staple for me, though I’ll never have the kind of skin where only one concealer will do the job. Such a small pot, though! Will need to repurchase…often.

Although I rarely use concealer (it takes too long, I’m a powder foundation girl), when I do this is the one out of the few I own (mac, nars, rimmel etc) that I reach for. For a start its one of few pale enough for my very very ppp skin (mac nw15 is too dark), plus I love how creamy it is which makes it easy to blend on the dry parts of my sensitive combination skin. I mostly use this on blemishes, only occasionally on minor dark circles. However sometimes you do have to layer it to get good coverage, and it can be hard to blend it so it looks natural but also get particularly bad spots covered at the same time, though its good on minor flaws. Also I have very cool pinky toned skin and this concealer is very yellow! (Sadly apart from Mac and Prescriptives few companies do pink based products.) This is okay on blemishes to counteract the redness, but not so good otherwise so although I will keep using this I am still on the look out for my HG pale, more neutral toned concealer.

First, let me say that as a PPP, finding adequate coverage that matches my skin tone is a challenge, which is why I had such high hopes for this product. And in the color department, Lorac does not disappoint. The C1 concealer matches my skin tone perfectly, but the coverage is lacking. In fact, it doesn’t do ANYTHING to cover my blemishes at all. After applying it, my face looks just as red as ever. This may work for someone who only has minor flaws, but for those looking for medium to heavy coverage, look else where.
