I won’t buy this again because it’s too expensive and their are korean brands out there that make the same concealer with mineral sunscreen for under $15. With that said, this is a good concealer and I used every last bit up. You get a “corrector” shade and then a concealer shade. It lasts all day and covers. You will need to set this with powder if you have fine lines and wrinkles and so long as you do that, this will not move. I just wish this had parabens in it because I kept mine for 3 years and I wasn’t sure if it was still ok to use or if it had bacterial microbes in it. As for the EWG approving this — honestly, I don’t why companies use that to promote their brand. I see that as a deterrent.

I am disappointed in this product. In theory, it’s what I was looking for–easy to use, good for dry under eyes, but I find that it creases/gathers in my tiny under eye wrinkles even when using the tiniest amount. I end up digging it out of my under eye wrinkle with my finger nail and never seem to get much effect as a result. ***Note: If you have any tips for getting it to stop doing this, I would love to hear!*** I have the neutral duo, and it comes out much lighter than the color in the pan. I have figured out that I can use up the lighter of the two (way too light for me, and I’m pretty light) as an eyeshadow base color (but have to use the tiniest amount, again because of creasing). So it’s not an inclusive range in terms of colors.

I am only giving this product two stars because I did like the coverage and consistency of the product. However, it truly deserves 1 star for what it did to me. Phenoxyethanol is a highly dangerous and toxic chemical! I purchased this concealer and the Mineral Fusion Foundation on a whim and didn’t realize they both contained Phenoxyethanol. I had a severe toxicity reaction after 35 mins of applying both these products. It only intensified and once it was in my blood stream and my body tried desperately to get rid of it. My body was reacting as if I had the flu or was slightly poisoned. Finally looked at the packaging and saw Phenoxyethanol. I was shocked and furious. Why would a natural “EWG” recommended brand add this toxic and dangerous chemical to preserve their products? It’s beyond me and just plain stupid for the amount of money you charge for yours products! Thanks for ruining something potentially great!

I have oily skin with many closed comedones and slight redness on my cheeks, dark circles beneath my eyes and clogged pores; I get a few breakouts here and there but my main issue is more with skin texture and quality, rather than acne. I am a bit of a makeup newbie, but out of the concealers I have tried, this is by far my favorite! I was skeptical about “dual color” element, but it ended up being really versatile, as my skin tone changes color from season to season. I was able to use this during the winter and the summer.
At one point, I was even using this as a foundation… Ha! It actually kind of worked, but then I got their liquid foundation, which was even better. This concealer works really well with my skin type, it doesn’t cake or melt off when I get oily–even when I was basically using it as a foundation, which is pretty impressive! The only complaint I have is that it takes a bit for it to set on your skin, so if you apply any liquid-y foundations or anything like that it gets wiped off, so I recommend pairing it with a primer (especially if you have oily skin), applying it after liquid foundation to touch up red spots and remaining blemishes and set with some sort of spray or powder. It is still effective on it’s own, but those methods helped me get the most out of this product.

My HG concealer. I use the “cool” duo…mostly for dark circles under the eye. I like the small, flip top round packaging…it’s easy to get to the makeup and I usually just apply with my fingers, which you can easily swipe across the product…creamy formula that blends well…really easy to carry with you…two colors give you a wide range of blends and shades as needed…worth trying!

For me, this concealer is comparable to Bobbi Brown or Mac cream concealers. There are fewer color options, but luckily for me, the one I bought actually works even better for me than my old one. Since they do come with two colors, maybe blending would increase the color options enough – but best to try them out if you can before you buy! There is some creasing, but the same amount I got with Bobbi Brown and Mac – I just inspect and blend, and then it’s usually fine after that.

This has been my go-to concealer for some time, I am at the bottom of this pan and I have a fresh one waiting in the wings for when I need it. for those who do not know, this concealer contains two colors, a light and a darker shade that one can mix together or use alone. For under the eyes, I pat my brush into the darker side than the light creating a shade that is not to dark nor does it give my lighter raccoony rings which I don’t find much better than the circles I am trying to hide. Although it is possible to use to much, it is also easy to avoid this by patting the product in and than setting it with a clean brush used to push product gently into the skin, absorbing extra oils without adding drying powders, this really works! I like the choice of dark and light for other places on my face as well, but primarily use this under my eyes. The coverage is always natural looking, with a satiny sheen that looks like skin, but the brightening capacity in in of itself looks a bit makeup, but this is not a bad thing at all. I love the use of jojoba esters as it really adheres to my face full of beauty oils. Although I continue to try other concealers and at times having to mix the colors a pain when I am running late, this will always be a concealer that I am happy to have access to and will continue to purchase then I need to.

Favorite concealer of all time! And that’s saying a lot. I wasn’t expecting a lot from this product. I thought it was all hype and that the only reason why people were buying it was because JA was backing it up. I was so WRONG. This concealer covers beautifully and I looooove how full coverage it is! I’m a concealer junkie, and prior to this, I was using high end products and mixing them together. Even after mixing them together, I still could not get the coverage I wanted. Now, this is the only concealer I use! Just one product. I can’t believe it. I only use one concealer now, and that puts me in disbelieve. The way I apply this concealer is I tap it on in the areas I want it, and then I blend it out with a damp sponge. Usually, I have to cake it on, but not with this. One thin layer is all I need and VIOLA! Perfection. Thanks Honest Beauty, I will be back for more!
UPDATE ON 11/9/16: I have to reduce my rating because this made me break out milia under my eyes. I stopped wearing it and the milia went away. Then, I started again and it came back so this is the culprit. Too bad. I knew it was too good to be true. 🙁

Like the foundation, I didn’t expect much when I tried it, but I really love it. I was confused about what shade to buy to go with my Sand foundation. The Balanced Beige seemed like the best fit, but the lightest shade had a yellow tone and the darker shade was a bit darker than the foundation. However, they turned out to be perfect. The yellow tone covers dark circles/blue tints under the eye and the darker shade covers imperfections on your face. I dab the concealer on with a brush and then press into my skin with my finger tips. A little goes a long way and it’s very buildable. It disappears into my skin and doesn’t crack or cake and lasts all day. It’s not greasy and it’s also not dry. It’s just right, and I love it!

Good for covering blemishes or red patches. Fairly thick and creamy, but sets up well. I use it over rashy red patches and can’t use powder, so that’s important (that it’s not dry, but sets without powder). I haven’t used it undereye, as I have lighter products I like for that. I eschew “pink” tones in makeup, but use the Cool duo and it is NOT pink. I like that there’s two shades, it makes it easy to adjust. I did get this on a bit of a sale, but if I can’t find a sale, I will repurchase at full price (unless I find something better, of course!).

I am trying to go more natural in my make up routine. This product is pretty expensive here in Canada ($29.99) for very little.
Having said that, it does do a good job. I use concealer mainly for blemishes and red spots, not so much for undereyes.
I am asian with light to mid-toned skin.
I got the Warm palette which has more yellow undertones to it.
The Neutral one looked a little more pink.
The Warm does a good job of matching my skin. I am definitely in the middle of the two colours and need to mix it.
It doesn’t seem very hygienic to dip your figure right into your concealer so I’ve been using an old eye shadow brush to dip and apply to my face….I then use my finger to blend a bit more.
The product is quite slippery and goes over my blemishes pretty well without highlighting dry spots. It’s quite thick so you don’t need to apply a lot to get good coverage.
Overall I’m pretty happy with it. I’m not crazy with the application method. I really prefer my concealers to be in a squeeze tube. But this is a natural concealer that is doing its job.
For its price I’m not sure if I will repurchase – probably yes if I stay committed to using all natural products.

My HG concealer. I use it in Warm and the duo is amazing for adjusting to different tones on your face and in different months. My forehead is more tan, my cheeks paler, so this is ideal.
I apply it with a foundation or concealer brush and it can be as opaque as you want, depending how you blend it. I love the consistency, creamy but not too thick, and I have probably gone through about 6 of these over the years. I will cry if they ever stop making it.
