I had no intention of purchasing this product but it caught my eye after seeing it on sale on beauty bay’s clearance section and the sale was pretty good so I thought what the heck. It actually does a pretty good job and I’m impressed! I don’t take much issue with getting the product out as others have, as I feel that it’s still pretty quick to dispense it even if it’s struggling to, I have run into issues where dried up product blocks up product but this issue is easily solved by using a bit of water. The brush tip surprised me in it’s quality, it’s soft and can do well in blending, it’s quality is much better than to something like Clinique’s airbrush concealer.
It does a pretty neat job in concealing blemishes and the under-eye with its medium coverage. The product is amazing in battling creasing, even with powder it does not crease at all. It looks beautiful and natural but lasting power is where I feel this product doesn’t do a great job in. Maybe a prerequisite is to powder but I feel on it’s own it should still do its job in lasting. I really took issue with this problem when I would use it every day while on vacation in Japan, after the middle of the day most of the product would have virtually disappeared on blemishes.
I don’t know if this is a defect but the concealer tends to leak terribly around the black part when I haven’t used all the product that is dispensed and I always find myself having to clean it up which is a bit annoying. There is also a scent that is noticeable especially when I apply it around my nose and it’s definitely not pleasant, like a sour wood scent.

I have been on the hunt for a decent under-eye concealer. What I am looking for is medium to full coverage, light-weight, decent lasting power and looks as much like skin as possible.
I liked this concealer when I first apply it – decent coverage so that it covers my dark circles, it is very easy to blend and it definitely looks like skin (I loathe the heavy base makeup look). However, after 2 – 3 hours it starts to crease and highlight every fine line I have — and I always set my concealer with translucent powder.
I also really dislike the Ellis Faas packaging. Yes, it looks nice but it is always painful to get the product out. You’d be clicking and clicking and nothing comes out and the next minute you have enough concealer for 5 people.
This is a concealer which did not work for the under eye area but I will use it for highlighting purposes. I will not repurchase.

By far the best most well blended natural concealer that I’ve ever tried. It is perfect for my “panda eyes” and for many years I’ve only used this concealer (in shade s202) for under my eyes, T zone and sides of my nose, without a foundation and set it with a finishing powder. It brighten my skin immediately. It stays on the whole day. Also, every time my friend sees my beauty pouch they were always fascinated with the packaging and wondering what it was, the packaging is very elegant with a brush tip 🙂 Cons: it can be quite oily after sometime when I used it on my T zone (other parts are fine) but to keep in mind, I live in a very humid tropical climate which is very different to where Ellis Faas’ main customers are (Europe and Australia). One other thing, I feel that some of them tends to run out very quickly (but some doesn’t) so depending on my luck on which pen tube I gotten! I have re-purchased this product since 2012 and have used about 20-30 pens or perhaps more. I really recommend for anyone to use this concealer, European and Asian. I usually purchased them through their online website and they do free delivery overseas after a certain amount.

Originally bought the concealer in 203 in order to match the lovely Ellis Faas foundation in 203 (the foundation is and was my perfect winter match, Holy Grail). The Ellis Faas concealer is Holy Grail in terms of texture, coverage and wearability. But if you have neutral to yellow or olive undertones, read on (203’s color is wrong)…
The color of the concealer 203 is noticeably more peach than the neutral colored foundation 203 (probably because of the pigment concentration), and does not quite go with my light olive skin in certain areas. BTW I am not the only one to notice this color discrepancy between the concealer and foundation in the 203 shades, have seen plenty of other comments to this effect, so just a heads up about this unexpected difference.
As a result, the 203 concealer is terrific for covering up brown spots and dark moles, where its peachiness doesn’t really matter. But due the color discrepancy, I cannot use it for my undereye (where there are no brown discolorations, just blue/purple discoloration on an olive background) because it is too peachy. So also I bought the shade 202, which is in the yellower family (see mini-review below) -which I’m much happier with in terms of color, and I mix in a little foundation to get a perfect color match.
For both colors, the good features are –
LASTS: all day and into the evening, just doesn’t budge. Does not highlight pimples or scars or other imperfections, because it is mat (but not flat).
BRUSH: lovely soft brush, does medium sized areas like undereyes and corner of nose very nicely. So good, I am saving the brush for repurposing when the concealer runs out.
FINAL VERDICT: very good lasting and excellent concealing properties, very natural-looking and mat (but not flat or dead-looking), just one-half lippie off for color mismatch.
EDIT: the 202 concealer color is much better, less peachy, for my undereyes.
Note however that the concealer will very occasionally cake in undereye creases in the very cold, dry weather UNLESS my 60+ year old undereyes are extremely well moisturized first and then the concealer is applied very soon afterwards. You easily mix the Foundation and concealer to get a dewier look. It looks fine if you take these precautions; younger ladies may not need to. I find I don’t need to do this in the warmer, moister weather. Another tip: if you have creases and lines, stretch (flatten) the crease when applying the concealer, it prevents it from collecting in the crease when drying.
The Ellis Faas products are tested on super-models, ie those with already normal and possibly perfect skin. However, there is hope for us lesser mortals!!!
The foundation by itself (which is dewy) will work WELL on skins ranging from dry to normal to SLIGHTLY OILY. Very oily skins should look for another foundation.
However, the concealer (which is mat but not flat) will work well on skins ranging from SLIGHTLY DRY to normal to oily. Very dry skins should look for another concealer.
As mentioned above, you can mix the two, no problem! That way you get the advantage of both if you want a slightly dewier look under the eyes but still want adequate coverage, or if you want an intermediate color.
You can extend the range of skins which work with Ellis Faas products by using mattifiers or moisturizers, as appropriate, and by understanding this key difference. Hope this is helpful!
For my money, the Ellis Faas concealer, foundation and blush are head and shoulders above anything else on the market in terms of looking absolutely natural (like you were born that way), long-lasting to boot (all day), and not sensitizing, oxidizing or acnegenic in any way on my tempermental skin! Well worth the money, HOLY GRAIL!

For reference, im NC50 in MAC. I was looking for a lightweight concealer with staying powder for my under eye area. Ive tried and use several like NARS radiant creamy concealer, It cosmetic, MAC, Bobbi Brown corrector and i like the Ellis Faas and NARS best. I use the NARS more only because its a little less expensive while the EF is used for special occasions. The main reason i love the EF is that it doesnt give flashback in pictures. It stays on all day and doesnt cake like some under eye concealers do!!

This is a great concealer but its high maintenance. It took me ages to work out the best way to use this so but once you have got it, it does not budge. I would say its med coverage and does not layer well. You have one go to get it right and the minute you start adjusting it, it will go cakey. To get the optimum results use on non-primed skin so as to make it adhere well. Use a generous amount to spread and finish, you have to work quickly. Once it sets, do not put anything on top since it will look cakey and over done. Best used before foundation just make sure not to disturb it too much once it goes on. I never use the brush and apply directly to a concealer brush. It does need sanitising often to keep it hygenic. If there is one thing that could go a long way to improve this product, it would be the delivery system, no brush, no fuzzy applicator, it should be a narrow squeeze nozzle, something where the product can’t dry in when not in use.
alertWidgeon4
S202 is a great color for my summer skin (around NC 25). Almost medium coverage, which is suitable for my under eyes and slight blemishes. Doesn’t sink into fine lines and fairly long wearing. Luminous and comparable to NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, which is my winter concealer. Brush needs work though; overtime it splays. One star taken off for the brush and high price.
crummyBass4
I have tried so many concealers, both good and bad but this one has got to be the worst! Not only does it not cover anything, it doesn’t blend out well but most importantly it BURNS! My eyes water every time i put it on and it smells very strongly of sunscreen idk why. Even though it’s so inexpensive, save your money. I enjoy their skincare line, but this concealer makes me not want to try anything else from their makeup line.
humorousPoultry9
Expected so much more from this product. I can’t believe how bad this is!
Purchased in Germany at dm, this got a very good review in a magazine that specifies on testing products independently. Believed them and got very excited when I was in Germany the next time. This has no use, AT ALL. Just doesn’t blend. AT ALL. Am I doing something wrong??? I tried to blend this with a wet sponge, with a sponge dunk into coconut oil (which sometimes works better than a damp sponge if the product you want to blend is oil based), with my fingers, nothing worked. Well, I think at that point it’s reasonable to give up..
Pro:
– natural ingredients
– affordable
Con:
– not blendable whatsoever, thus not wearable
How can they put such a product out there? I don’t understand……

This is your standard concealer for fair skin. Alverde only makes this in 2 shades suitable for skins that are light to medium. It is a wand aplicator and has a normal medium coverage. It contains alcohol as preservative. I would not use it under my eyes becuase of the alcohol content. It did nto amaze me becuase my foundation covers just as well as this little concealer. It is very average product. Smells fresh. Price was around 3 euros, not more than 4.
ardentBasmati2
This concealer is an all-time favourite of mine. I have the fairest shade (apart from the white one,) as my skin is so ridiculously pale. So far, apart from a much pricier Clarins concealer stick, this is the only concealer that I have found suits my skin tone. The formula is a thick, build-able cream that blends well, and you only need very little because it is so highly pigmented. A little goes a long way.
shamefulOatmeal8
This is a really thick concealer, it’s that thick you struggle to get it on your brush! It’s good for hiding spots and circles under your eyes. You do however have to get your shade correct, I don’t have a illamasqua near me so had to use their online chart. Lucky it was fine. It’s not a oily product so great if you have oily skin. It’s long wearing and waterproof. A good all rounder concealer! I recommend having this in your makeup box!
needyGarlic5
I bought this concealer for $10 on sale, and I wouldn’t buy it again. The formula dries out and every time I go to use it, it is hard to blend and doesn’t cover my dark under eye Circles very well. It may work better on spots around the face, but doesn’t do a great job for under eye circles.
thriftyCockatoo8
This is a fairly dry concealer, and not for use for the under eye area. I used this product to mainly cover up red spots. I have some dark acne scarring and it managed to lighten it a little bit, but not a lot. But it did cover the red spots excellently. It’s a fairly large pot, and you really don’t need to use a lot. It applies better with a concealer brush than with your fingers, as it’s not super creamy so it won’t apply consistently otherwise. The only reason why I won’t be repurchasing this product is that it’s not readily available in my country. 🙁
sincereCockatoo6
I bought this in medium 1.
I apply it over discoloured skin and to the corners of my eyes – I let it sit then pat it in.
I have wrinkles, dark undereyes and copious amounts of sun damaged skin (as you do, wear sunscreen and hats you young girls, you’ll be grateful in your 40s).
Its okay. it stays for the day, it doesn’t look cakey, its probably a little more shiny than I like but as far as concealers go, it does the job for me.
I do apply it with a cream eye shadow brush, let it sit and then I pat it in with my fingers. i do powder over the top a little to help it set
crummyFerret5
I was pulled in my the colour range of these and bought the white and the palest shade following the white (in both facial and under eye formulas) thinking I could blend them together into a super concealer but it just didn’t work.
The facial concealers are very dry and hard to work with so end up looking cakey and messy and accentuate and problems you’re trying to cover. If you don’t have any major skin issues and are really taken with the colour range then maybe give it a go but they really aren’t worth the price they are charging for them.
However, absolutely give the under eye concealers a wide berth, no redeeming qualities about them at all. They are unbelievably greasy – not moisturising – greasy, and just look wet under your eyes. They aren’t buildable because they’re so wet so the dark circles shine through. It’s really a given that under eye concealers need a pinkish/ salmon tone for them for them to do the job (think bobbi brown correctors) but illamasquas are a flat colour just like the facial concealers which is another reason thy do nothing but make under eye circles look wet.
cautiousHeron4
Considering this was from Illamasqua i thought this would be suuuper high quality but it was terrible, really oily, translucent and slid off my face. I bought it in the lightest, near white shade because naturally i am very pale but being honest i had to team this up with another concealer for it to work. It was really awful and im glad i got this in the sale for pretty cheap otherwise i wouldve been seriously disappointed, i will never buy this again.
yearningPonie5
Mychelle has recently discontinued all of their makeup products, which is a shame because they were natural and great quality. This concealer worked wonders on my dark circles. It had a nice creamy consistency and it had staying power. It also had a slight sparkle which I really liked.
dejectedWeaver9
Overall—this product has all the same attributes as the cream foundation (see my review for that for more details). So, it’s useless as a spot concealer for pimples or scarring. The lightest shade is still a bit too dark for my NC 15 skin (I would be Ivory in their cream foundation). It’s very sheer and oily and doesn’t do anything to conceal redness in a pimple or scar.
However, I do really like it as an undereye concealer. it kind of disguises the undereye circle without hiding it completely, but it also serves to moisturize the area, which is a big plus. It also enables the MMU I apply on top of it to fully conceal the area, because it leaves a dewy, oily finish for the product to stick to.
dejectedLlama9
I order this product from the TV in the starter kit . the coverage was okay but not enough for my dark under eye circles, it creased on me very quickly and this product also clung to the dry patches on my cheeks when I tried to spot conceal .
jumpyMussel5
I love this concealer but what I find a lot with sheer cover is that it only works well on the darker medium Caucasian women and the tan and darker skinned women. I’m half white half black and I use the tan/dark which I originally thought would be way to dark but these colors run super light. my mom is white and I mean like ivory white, very fair skinned with red hair and she HATES sheer cover anything. I love it,it covers well for me. I always think I look flawlessly amazing once I’ve applied my sheer cover concealer and mineral powder…all in all its great makeup, for me,I think it all depends on your coverage needs. honestly the chick with the birthmark they show on the infomercial, I don’t believe she uses this item.it covers awesome but not for stuff like that.
mercifulOcelot7
an average concealer for minimum concealing, washes off as soon as it comes in contact with water.
jumpyMacaw3
This was my first concealer years ago. I no longer use it anymore because I have moved onto other brands. It’s a pretty reasonable concealer. The consistency is good and gives good coverage without too much creasing or looking cakey. I have fair skin so I never used the darker shade which was a bit of a waste. The packaging is a bit flimsy though, the screw/bolt thing came out and the lid broke so I was no longer able to close it. Apart from that it’s a pretty ok product however, I won’t be repurchasing because I have found a concealer that is better suited to my skin type and coverage needs!
ashamedBittern5
I loved it so much!!! Okay at first I thought this would be like all the other concealers out there (gross old, and, gets flakey)but it was NOT it is worth your money it makes your skin look flawless in under 1 min.!!!

The concealer is good. It has good coverage and good staying power while maintaining a light feeling. I am glad that the fair matches my skin tone, because I would hate to “customize” the color.
grumpyLlama2
I received this product as a gift and never guessed I would love it as much as I do. The coverage is amazing. Once I set it with powder, it looks extremely natural and never cakey. I would definitely repurchase this product.

I got this concealer STICK in Medium & it is nice! The NYC 1 is a bit better but is hard to find around my locale but this works as an eyeshadow & lip base, as a thick under eye concealer & is awesome for blemishes. I think I paid ~$2.99 it’s good for throwing in your bag as a multi purpose “stick” even can fix those smudged brows or liner on the go, in a pinch. I’m giving this a definite 5! #winning !! You can’t find many of cover type sticks anymore most are wands which I’ve already got my HG wand type concealer (NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer). I think this will last a long time!!!

I actually really love this concealer. I have tried L’oreal blendable crayon (broke me out), Laura Mericer Secret Camo (couldn’t figure out), and numerous others, but I always go back to this. First of all, it’s cheap. I love it for both undereyes and blemishes. I even use it to countour my nose! It seems to blend pretty well, and covers blemishes nicely. It isn’t perfect, but it’s one of the best I’ve found. I’ve started to use Maybelline’s Fit Me for my blemishes, but I still use this for my undereyes. It seems to brighten my eyes and cancels out the darkness while still love natural. I’m really fair and use the 801 shade, but when I tan in the summer, I mix the 801 and 802. Great value, and worth a shot for the price. I keep them everywhere!
aboardDunbird3
I bought my current concealer about 6 months ago. So for me it lasts a long time the only problem of why I don’t like this product of how oily it got even after a few days of opening the package. All in all i use this stuff now as an eye primer for my really shimmery eyeshadow. the packaging was alright but it breaks easily and the application was super easy because it is like a lipstick shaped tube, well at least mine is. Anyway this product is an iffy for me I love it but at the same time hate it. I’m much more happy with my Glamoflauge concealer by hard candy.
mellowGelding3
I wear full coverage foundation so I don’t really need a concealer, but the last few days, I’ve been breaking out so I decided to get something to cover them up a little more. This was really cheap. I love the creamy consistency and it blends really well. It doesn’t to the best job at concealing, I found I had to layer it on, but after doing that, I felt it did the job. I will continue to use it more for under my eyes and I’ve found it also works well as a highlighter when paired with a light shimmery powder. 🙂
troubledHyena1
This concealer has great coverage, and blends really well…but it breaks me out. I wish it didn’t, because I really did like it, but it did. I just ended up giving it to a friend.
zestyOtter8
Terrible concealer. I tried to use it in an effort to cover up my acne. The concealer just emphasized the acne and stuck more onto my finger than to my face. This one is a no-go for me.
morbidCardinal7
This is a great concealer duo, the texture is a bit softer Han Laura mercies secret camouflage so it has fantastic staying power and pigmentation. The corrective Orange half of the shade 02 is great because it’s bright enough to correct intense darkness but not so dark that it’s difficult to hide under foundation. The yellow half the best redness corrector ive tried for olive green undertones.
This is more of a warm weather/humid weather product or a product for those with oily skin. I’m a Canadian with dry skin so it’s a no go in the winter but in the summer it’s nice.
somberBasmati6
Their undereye concealer is amazing. I’ve finished and repurchased it several times. If you have dark circles this will help! I have typical deep south asian dark circles and this takes them away.
lazyGnu5
I had heard this concealer was very similar to bobbi brown and was excited to try out a cheaper version. What I like is:
a. It gives great coverage- the colour match for my south asian skin is perfect
b. long lasting- stays put pretty much all day
c. Doesn’t gather in my lines like bobbi brown corrector and concealer
However, what I don’t like is how dry the formula is. Even though I moisturize my eyes before applying concealer the product will still flake and dry out if my eyes aren’t effectively soaked in moisturizer. You can actually see the individual particles of the concealer when this happens.
Based on the flakiness I won’t be buying this again, guess its back to my expensive bobbi brown concealer.
aboardStork5
This is my go-to undereye concealer. I recommended this to all of my customers with troubled undereyes when I worked in cosmetics. It’s called “Eye Wonder” and it really does work wonders! I love how you can blend the two different shades together to get your perfect tone. The yellower shade really does neutralize the dark circles, and the skin tone does the rest. Follow this up with the Face Base powder and you can’t even tell you have problemed undereyes!
worriedMallard7
I adore this concealer. As a WOC it is hard to find colors that work well with my skin, this concealer is amazing! It blends in so well and is not oily at all. I do have sensitive skin and this has not broken me out at all!
I recommend this and have made sure that this concealer is my go too makeup product!
lyingTacos5
Perfect color for undereye and concealing in general for fair to medium women. Unfortunately the formula is awful! I am 22 and it highlights my undereye lines. It’s flaky and drying even though I have oily skin. It never totally looks natural. It fades slightly during the day and collects in lines. You definitely need to use an eye cream under this. I’ll try that and report back.
insecureOrange3
I am a big fan of this concealer. I like that Vasanti caters to all skin tones with a wide variety of shades. I also like how this has 2 colours…very similar to Laura Mercier’s secret camoflauge but nowhere near as expensive. A GREAT CONCEALER!
bubblyCamel2
Concealer worked well for me as far as color and coverage, but something in it caused me to break out. The packaging upset me because the plastic was thin and the cover’s edges started cracking within a few days. Not for me.
decimalRelish2
This concealer is a great multitasker I can use it under the eyes on blemishes or even as a cream foundation(it is very full coverage so for this I mix it with a bit of primer to sheer it out and it’s great).I found Y2 is the perfect match for my face, Y3 is too orange. On lazy days I can just throw a little bit of this on and some powder and it lasts all day. The finish is beautiful, it’s a super natural sort of satin/matte. The way I describe it is just like your skin but better, it looks and feels smooth, not heavy. It has pretty good lasting power too, I only powder once to set it and a touch up during the day.
When I want something brighter I use R1 under the eyes and to highllight the face and R4 is great for contouring.
I’ve tried it on both oily and dry, young and mature skin and it just looks great on everyone. I don’t know how they did it but this stuff is magical. Plus their range covers an awesome variety of skin tones.

I wanted to love this conceale, but, i.got horribly cakey, im oily so maybe it’s not so good on oily complexions, if your normal it might work for you, its around 20 bucks and you get a lot of.product which is good, if it works for you. As for me, I’ll stick to my MAC prolongwear concealer..
soreSeafowl6
Unfortunately, this concealer was a miss for me. The best thing about it is that it’s one of the few concealers light enough for my skin (Y0), but that’s about it. It settled into my non-existent fine lines I didn’t even know I had, and looked caked with any amount of product. It also looked quite dry even with my oily skin and moisturized/primed eyes and simply looked dry on any skin imperfections. It did have good staying power, though.
similarCrackers5
I bought this in Y1 at the recs of some youtube guru. I had to order it online from Sephora. The color was great but what I got was a dry, hard to blend concealer, the coverage wasn’t great either (didn’t cover acne) and it did settle in the fine lines. This is not what I need for the eye area and returned it.

OCC concealer is a creamy, thick, pot concealer. It is silicone-free, for those of you who have trouble with silicones. Very spreadable with both brushes and fingers, and very blendable. When applied over my slightly damp silicone-based Replenix ss, the OCC concealer’s consistency turns into that of a beautifully skin-like- but full- coverage bream foundation. It comes in a huge selection of red and yellow-based shades.
I have this in shade R0, the lightest red-based shade. I am NW 10 at best, and find this paler than my skin.Despite being red-based, it actually hides the redness in my cheeks, as well as broken capillaries. It also covers my hp marks. Applied lightly, it also works reasonably well for undereye. No creasing, but not the ultimate heavy dark-circle hider.
The reason I have deducted 1 lippie is that OCC concealer isn’t as budgeproof as I’d like. I have one spot on the apple of my cheek which, when I apply any powder, regardless of technique I try, always uncovers.Just enough of the concealer always comes off to reveal the spot again.
Packaging is a screw-top lid on a clear pot. Price is $20, and, considering the tiny amount needed, the cost over time is small.
I recommend OCC concealer, and I will repurchase, switching shades in order to better match my skintone.
grumpyBasmati4
I’ve finally found a red-based concealer that I like! Yah! Okay, first the pros: (1) You get a lot of product so the price is decent (2) I bought this in RO, which is listed as “palest red-based skintone” and it evens out my skin tone well (3) Sturdy packaging so it will survive a rough trip in your makeup bag or purse (4) I couldn’t detect a scent so I was thrilled with that (5) This is heavy coverage.
Now for the cons: (1) Pale is VERY PALE, like ghost white. I am like a marshmallow and it was still too light for me lol I corrected this by mixing it with a dollop of my foundation. Or I just use it as is to highlight my nose (2) Can be hard to apply on dry skin. I mix this with a little bit of oil so the application doesn’t go on flaky (3) It will streak overtime (4) It needs touch ups, staying power was about 2 hrs.
Though this has problems I’d still repurchase it. The price is right and almost every con I had with it was fixable. If I’m going somewhere that I won’t be able to freshen my makeup I wouldn’t wear this. It looked great on though while it lasted! So I’m happy!

This is a rare breed– a vegan product that is of first-rate quality. It is comparable to Clinique Line-Smoothing Concealer. It completely covers dark shadows around eyes and has a natural-look finish that does not require any powder or foundation. It is successful as a stand-alone product. I use the C-7 which has a yellow undertone. The C-3 is paler, but pink-toned. Amazing not having to sacrifice quality for vegan principles!

This concealer is a nightmare! I bought this to cover up acne, redness and to conceal my eyes and it really doesn’t work. It’s coverage isn’t very good and it’s really hard to blend. I have to rub really hard to work it onto my skin, and it’s cakey and creases heavy in the lines of my skin. It’s super oily and leaves my face shiny even with powder over it, plus it doesn’t last long. The color is terrible and doesn’t match my skin tone. I use the c7 and it’s too orange and going lighter is too light. I’ll never buy this again.

I love this concealer! I’m in the shade C10 and it matches my skin tone perfectly. It has a creamy consistency and it goes on very smoothly. I have really bad dark circles and this concealer covered them up really well. It also covers up my acne and other redness.
The only thing I don’t like about this product is the packaging. It tends to leak around the edges and when I put it in my makeup bag, it gets all over my other products. I do like the applicator though.
Overall, I really enjoyed this product and I would buy it again.

This is a very nice concealer (without all of the pore-clogging ingredients!). I had been using Clinique Advanced Concealer in Matte Light, but found it too dry to use under the eyes, and it didn’t blend as easily as I would like. This has a nice consistency, covers fairly well, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I use the C-7, and then apply my ZuZu Luxe Dual Powder Foundation in D4. Although this blends into my facial skin, it looks a bit too light under my eyes. That being said, I wish they carried a few more shade ranges in their concealer.

I bought this concealer at whole food since I was looking for something made of organic/natural ingredients. The concealer comes in a tube that looks like a lipgloss. The bought the color c-7, which matches my skintone or slightly lighter, my color is mac nc 25 -30. The concealer covers well, I use this around my eyes and on old acne spots and redness. The consistentcy is a creamy liquid, it is not drying on the skin and the color is pretty neutral/natural for my asian fair/medium skintone, it is not too yellow like other concealers I’ve used (ie mac studio concealer pot). The price is around $20 for a tube, so kinda pricey a bit, but I just use a tiny bit each time.

I am really disappointed in this. I had bought a bunch of samples from Alima Pure but not this one. Figured it wasn’t too expensive and all the other AP products had been interesting so just got full size.
Somehow it manages to crease really badly (worse than rms uncoverup) in my undereye area – the creasing somehow happens on top of the crease so the clumped up product is visible. Normally (with rms, for example) it ends up inside the crease and never shows. The texture also just looks really bad and crepey. It’s strange because the AP eyeshadows don’t crease at all for me even though I have fairly hooded eyes.
I have the AP concealer brush which is just stiff, kind of stabby bristles (unlike their other brusges which are soft soft soft), awkward and impossible to use.
I have the lightest shade and use Neutral 1 in the Satin Matte foundation. The shade is a good match.
In addition to the creasing, this is not a full coverage concealer at all – dusting the foundation over my eye area when applying to my face works just as well and the texture is better.
sadBittern1
I bought the lightest shade- and man is it ever light- does not blend well with my other makeup. Also doesn’t last long – After an hour its sliding right off just like Alima’s foundation…
This brand is really starting to disappoint. It’s great that they have a short and simple ingredient list but I’d rather have affordable makeup that does what its marketing to do…

I use the shade Porcelain in this concealer, and it is a perfect match for my NC5-10 skin. If I try and put too much on however, it looks like I have white dots on my face – it does need to be applied with a very light hand. If applied correctly, it’s great. Covers redness and dark acne scars very well in conjunction with the foundation. Hasn’t broken me out at all.
pacifiedWidgeon7
The first 4 shades were way, way too white for me. While testing them, I went through many embarrassing days that I walked around with strange white spots all over my face. I should have known, and removed after I applied, but I wanted to give all the shades a chance, thinking they made change with my body temperature or something. WRONG. I am very pale, so I do not know who is pale enough for these first 4 shades. Wowza. I tried the 5th shade, Amber I believe, and while it was darker, it was TOO dark. After sampling these, I deciding I would try the actual foundation as a concealer (I hate using makeup all over my face- I like to use makeup only where I need it). I found much, much better color matches with the foundation. I absolutely love how Alima gives out such cheap samples. I think Alima is a wonderful company.

MY SKIN: Oily combination with oily T-zone. I have mild undereye circles, which is the main reason I got this concealer. My color in their foundation line is Beige 5.
HOW I APPLY IT: I chose “Tan” per suggestion of the Alima website. I use an old Bare Escentuals concealer brush, but any stiff flat brush will do. I pat the brush into the product, tap off the excess, and then pat-pat-pat under my eyes. I do this after primer, but BEFORE my foundation (I also use Alima satin matte foundation).
THE RESULT: It was quite impressed! Tan is actually fairly light, so I don’t use this on blemishes (I just use the foundation itself). It doesn’t cake up or settle into lines or pores, which I like. However, I don’t think that EVERYONE needs this. I could personally live without it because my undereye circles aren’t terrible, but if it’s a gripe of yours, I’d definitely recommend this! The samples are only $1 with $2 shipping, so you don’t have much to lose 🙂
annoyedMagpie7
Easy to apply and provides medium coverage. I ordered a sample size in sand and it matches my skin perfectly. The sample size will last me pretty long and for only $1!!!
This concealer doesn’t irritate my skin and helps me look great! I only wish it would be able to cover my larger pimples.
holisticIcecream2
Oh, how I love this stuff. It covers blemishes ansd misc. spots on my face like nothing else. I use a teeny, tiny bristled brush to dot it on the spots, then sometimes cover my whole face with a dusting of Alima’s fantastic mineral foundation. I can even use this concealer around my eyes to brighten the area and it doesn’t make my skin look crepey. (I’m 44 so I have to be careful about that!) I agree that the shades are lighter than pictured on the website, and they don’t carry a shade that’s just right for me, so I mixed two shades in one container and now it’s perfect. That’s the genius of mineral powders! Anyway, I strongly recommend ordering a few shades of samples and playing around with them before you decide on a full size or sizes. Alima sells samples of everything, and will send you free samples with the ones you bought!

I don’t reach for concealers often. I have this yellow version as a left over present. My sister used to be a distributor but she ended up not being able to sell much so She gifted me some leftovers and I bought a few leftover MK products out of compassion. A little goes a long way but I have to mix it with other foundation or it’s just too white for me.
solemnBoa2
Decent concealer. I find that it does not wear all day with my oily skin and is too heavy for summer time as it starts to slide around.
Coverage was decent and I like how it looked under my eyes but sometimes it would settle weird or look cakey. IDK I will pass on this one but it may be better for someone without oily skin.

One of the better concealers I’ve used, and a good value at this price. Ivory 1 is a good color to counter redness on fair skin. Depending on the time of year and my foundation, I might go for Beige 1 next time. Ivory 1 is very yellow, but seemed better than the cooler Ivory 2 over dark circles, and Yellow was even more yellow than this.
PROS:
$12 a tube seems reasonable, since you only need a dab. A tiny dot spreads out enough to cover a little redness on the sides of my nostrils and my under eye circles.
I am using Ivory 1, which is quite yellow, but blends in imperceptibly.
Coverage is medium to full, depending on how much you use.
Risk of creasing is minimal, but it can happen. I don’t use eye cream or slippery silicone products under the concealer because I find it increases the risk of creasing. The consistency is creamy. You are supposed to set with powder.
Stays put very well.
It doesn’t irritate my skin at all. Not a tingle. Actually, it’s helpful in camouflaging inflammation.
CONS:
It’s not the best over dry, flaky skin. It tends to accentuate the flakes.
You have to buy from a Consultant. I’ve had Consultants I loved and a couple that I truly disliked. Some of them are aggressive and pressure you to only use their line, and borderline stalk you, or send you crying to your therapist. Others are pleasant, and realistic about their expectations of the customer. Depending on the person, customer service can be a breeze…or a trip to Hell. I had a nice one years ago, but it is a roll of the dice.
I am pretty sure this should have come with a tiny piece of hygienic foil over the tip of the tube, and it didn’t. This leads me to think that either LR (the Consultant) or another client opened this before I got to it, which is just not nice. I would buy the concealer again, but from a different Consultant next time.

I actually got this on sale from a consultant so I’m sure it was less than five dollars when I got it. It dries matte, covers well, and is thick without being too cakey. I use it on acne and under eyes even though it can be a little drying. However the shade selection is great as they have a yellow concealer specifically meant to correct and be worn under foundation. My beige shade does have more yellow undertone, which is hard to find at a drugstore price I find sometimes, but I really do love it!
similarFerret7
I like to have this on hand because it works so well. However, it does tend to look dry at the end of the day. I use it depending on how my skin is doing. It’s worth the $10. If my skin is too dry, I use glominerals camouflage, which is expensive but worth it! I use both. Also, used this as an eyelid primer and it lasted ALL DAY- 8am-11pm! No more Urban Decay eye primer for me! 😀
joyfulTacos9
I love this concealer! It works pretty well on most days but some days it doesnt. A little bit goes a long way with this so its definetely worth the money. Even though its a small tube it lasts me a long time
stressedOil7
Decent coverage and great color match, looks dry after a full day though
annoyedCardinal6
Not a bad product in the sense that it was easy to apply, caused no reaction for my skin and I like the brand generally But unfortunately, this product is not pigmented enough to conceal dark circles or blemishes. I would compare the coverage to a foundation. It might cover a little bit of redness but is fairly ineffective.
I think this retails for around £10 which is probably fair for a natural, vegan-friendly brand but still I think if you want this level of coverage ie. very light, foundation might be better value for money,

I had given up all hopes of finding a ‘natural concealer’ and had reverted back to Rimmel, but I was pleasantly surprised by this concealer. I’m surprised by all the poor reviews. I like that it has good coverage, and that it remains dewy, so it is good as an under eye concealer, but also on blotchiness or pimples. It works great on my dry skin. Plus it matches my Lavera foundation and my pale yellow-toned skin really well. It’s my current favourite.

Pros:
Is bio organic
The Light color is a match
Cons:
Does not cover blemishes
It dries caky
It has low staying capacity. Probably 2-3 hours
Conclusion:
Do not buy.

I like the fact that Lavera is paraben free and the smell (pleasant no chemical fragrance) can’t be beat, but overall it’s not the greatest concealer. It settles into every little fine line and appears dry in a few minute, like super fast and makes any lines under your eye stand out even more. The formula is not good for covering anything and is very drying.Terrible dont waste your money
bubblyBobolink2
Very thin formula with little to no coverage on either dark circles or blemishes. Works okay on discoloration but wears off super quickly. I have it in light (#1) and like the Lavera foundation, it’s still too dark and too orange for my skin tone.
ardentSeagull6
Too drying and has no coverage, so worthless for me. Can’t use under eyes because it is not a creamy finish but flaky one that ages my eye area. Very unflattering. No lightening, brightening qualities but just a matte flat dry tightness that turns me off this brand for good.

I like the fact that Lavera is paraben free and the smell (pleasant no chemical fragrance) can’t be beat, but overall it’s not the greatest concealer. It settles into every little fine line and appears dry in a few minutes. Certainly not worth the 30CAD I paid for it, unfortunately, I can’t take it back and will have to experiment in using it with skin lotion to make it less dry….not super happy with the product – the color is a good match for me though. Because it made the problem worse, off back to the store it went. I am glad they took it back.

This concealer is very natural looking. Great for everyday wear. It’s super light, moisturising and blendable. Definitely not one of those cakey concealers. I bought this after I found out that the nars creamy concealer wasn’t in stock and the sales assistant was just raving about this product. It gives a nice brightness under the eye. Not great for pimples or blemishes because I find that it doesn’t give enough coverage so I have to reapply the concealer to these problem areas. The packaging is gorgeous, but the bristles of the brush get mangled inside the tube if your not careful. I would buy again. But the two downsides of this product are the price, and how the brush gets messed up inside the tube.

I have tried 20+ different undereye concealers, and still, I can’t resist a good hype, so I simply had to try this one when I discovered that Ellis Faas makeup was available from Beautybay. Well, it has received very good rating, but I am not totally satisfied. I fair an neutral (leaning cool, around N13 (lighter than MAC NW15), and bought the lightest colour, which supposedly is neutral in tone. However, I found it slightly too yellow, while I prefer my undereye concealers to be slightly pinky, because of its brightening properties. The texture is really light and pigmented, comparable to Guerlain Precious Light concealer, which is my HG concealer for the undereye area. But in contrast to Precious Light, this one doesn’t dry down/set on me, and even with powder, I find that it creases quite badly within few minutes. I will probably use it now and then, and be annoyed that I bought it…
grumpyRice0
I bought this in the lightest shade on Sephora’s website, 201, and it ended up being too light for my nc15 skin (under eye area). I loved the formula, so I made the color work by mixing it with a darker concealer (armani corrector). The two main issues I have with this product is that 1.) TERRIBLE packaging. The clicker pen is so inconsistent in terms of how much product comes out, I would get so frustrated and just dread using the product. 2) there is very little product in the packaging for the price. I’m trying By Terry next.

I really didn’t like the concealer I bought it in the wrong shade and it is just so thick. I found it really hard to get the product from the container .

Recently bought this concealer after MAC’s Studio Sculpt was discontinued so I was looking for a similar product and I was pretty happy when I came across this one from Illamasqua. It almost has a similar consistency as it’s creamy but slightly dry, it definitely needs to be warmed up before applying. However I do love this concealer as the results look amazing and it lasts a long time on the skin even though I’m combination/oily so that’s a major plus for me. It also has a lovely white chocolate scent to it which makes it even more amazing. I’d suggest checking this one out at your local counter.
decimalCake8
I’ve been enjoying products from Illamasqua but was really disappointed with their under-eye concealer. I found the formula oily and it goes on very sheer that I was unable to get any coverage for my dark circles. Due to the texture it was difficult to build it up as the product would just move around. I regret this buy.
trustingEland8
I didn’t use a concealer until I got it in my Sheer Cover package but I really like it and I’d say the concealer is more important than the foundation in this case as it covers well.
Pros:
– Covers nicely
– Doesn’t look fake when used properly
– Glides easily
Cons:
– The package is rather small
– When taken with a finger it easily rubs off on the other colour
– Doesn’t cover well on dry skin/dried pimples
BUT, I got this with the tan set and I am not that dark (tan/olive). The darkest colour in this concealer set is a bit too light for me.
kindViper7
What can I say? Eww. I got this in a MyGlam bag, and couldn’t stand it. Even the pale colour didn’t come close to my colour, so I gave it to a coworker.
She gave it back two days later saying “It goes on streaky, and feels like oil. I don’t want it.” So it went in the trash.
The most pointless and useless concealer I have come across to date.
affectedTruffle4
In all a great concealer with good color matches. The two shades allow you to blend further to get a perfect match in each area. It is relatively sheer so there aren’t problems with it getting cakey looking. It did not break me out even though I have acne prone skin. I don’t need to use it over large areas so I cannot speak to how well it would cover a large flaw, but it works for minor under eye circles and blemishes. I will definitely buy it again.
Update: I have since decided that I didn’t want the auto ship and experienced what others have complained about. It’s pretty tough to find anyone at their customer service who can help you. This in no way affects what I think about the effectiveness of the makeup, but it is a concern potential buyers should be aware of.
BEWARE: I recently purchased this product again and found that it is now made in CHINA. I will not be purchasing again. There have just been too many recalls on products made there for me to consider it safe.
chicPlover2
This just caked up and settlined into my lines in about 30 minutes….I dont know maybe it how I apply it. I didnt have high expectations considering it was just a couple dollars.

Well i must say i was very surprised on how well this product worked for me. I had been using stilla concealer about $30 yes expensive but the coverage of wet n wild concealer and thickness was just as good. I had also purchased cover girl concealer+base eye brightner, it totally sucked and i paid double than the wet n wild concealer. I also use on top of the wet n wild concealer the avon concealer stick it covers my dark circles like a charm and both products cost me under $10 bucks…It’s a killer combo!!!! Edit: well after more use i noticed the staying power is not very good but other than that its good will still repurchase but will be on the look out for something better.
solemnDoughnut8
This product works WONDERS for me. This is one of the best concealers ever! Let’s just say, it doesn’t cover for everyone else, but covers EVERYTHING for me. -hint hint undereye circles- I wouldn’t buy this again, but this I stuck to my gut feeling and wrote this review, IT ROCKS.
enviousLocust3
Being of Indian descent, I have been struggling with dark undereye circles forever. I bought the wonders of the world concealer duo in O2 a few years ago.
What I love about it:
– the apricot color conceals dark undereye circles really well
– it stays put and is long-lasting
– blends easily
What I don’t like about it:
– because of its compact-like texture the concealer dried out after a few months and started forming cracks
– the beige color is quite light; I have not been able to put this one to use yet
If you are considering buying this product, I would definitely recommend you try the liquid version of this concealer in O2.

For the first time I’m returning a product not because it was horrible, but just because it didn’t live up to its price point. This is an adequate concealer, no better than a drugstore brand. The coverage is not exceptional, and its lasting power is minimal at best. The colors are very natural. But for $22 at ULTA I expect more. Usually if I pay a lot and it’s just okay, I put it in the drawer until I finally throw it out. I’ve wasted a lot of money doing that. This time I’m taking it back. I think cosmetic pricing is getting a little out of hand – and I love high end as much as anyone. But from now on, I think I’m going to make it a rule that if a cosmetic company wants me to spend twice as much as I would at the drugstore, I want the product to be twice as good or I want my money back. I should have done this long ago.
grumpyThrushe6
I bought this in Y2. Overall, I was very interested in the Vasanti line b/c it was directed at women with yellow based complexions. I am of European heritage & find that most cosmetics are pinkish based (though lately cosmetic companies are finally realizing that not everyone is pink based). As well b/c I am Canadian anything to support home based companies is a plus.
I would not say that this is my FAV of concealers (& I am still on the hunt for my fav). The packaging was pretty good. The texture of the concealer is a little too dry for my liking. And I do use an eye cream & still find that I would prefer something a little creamer. The colour selection is limited so I went with the lightest Y2 which is not an exact match but actually blends well & doesn’t give you that racoon effect. I would consider buying again however like I said I am still looking for the HG concealer.UPDATE(feb3) After trying several other brands I find that I reach for this more often b/c of the staying power. I can wear all day with no problems.UPDATE(oct/05)Don’t reach for this anymore now that I use the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer prefer this one better!

I LOVED IT!!! It felt great on my skin and it moisturizes to a degree of heat protectant and makes your skin glow and look like your not even wearing makeup
curiousDunbird7
I have 4 concealers:Y1, Y2, R2, R4. I am approx NC25-30 (I have been told I am neutral, but I am philippino. My body is warm; arms chest and shoulders are golden but my face is much paler and neutral. I have red undertones. My wrist has green and blue veins).
1. I dab the R2 on eyelids and inner corners down to eyebags (with my fingers); this reduces the purple or blue.
2. Y2 to cover the red around my nose and my cheeks. I use a stippling brush (small stippling brush, E.L.F) because it is too difficult to spread product in a large area with fingers alone. Two or three swirls should do it, and it doesnt seem so because you cant see it on the brush at all.
4. R4 to contour; again with the stippling brush.
5. Lastly, the Y1 is used with the stippling brush on the high planes of face: tops of cheeks, forehead and down the bridge of nose.
Results: so natural and as if I were born with this complexion. Gorgeous, smooth and even. You use so little of the product that it is nearly undetectable on the skin. I do set with Tarte’s finishing powder, but not much. Its not necessary, but it does last a little longer. I can get about 7-8 hours so a re-touch up is necessary if you plan to go out after work. I dont mind because its so light and feels like you have no makeup on at all. In love with these.
resolvedDotterel8
This product is very cheap for the amount of product you get. All i can say is wow to the coverage and texture. This is definitely the one of the best concealers i have ever bought. It really does look like skin when applied correctly-a little goes a long way. I prefer using this product with my fingers as it warms it up a tad and allows it to melt into my skin.
I have pretty good skin already so on a moisturised face and no foundation, apply this to my dark circles and redness…it simply looks lovely, fresh and natural. The texture is only slightly creamier than mac studio finish but is no where near creamy like kevyn aucoin sensual skin enhancer.
I bought y1 and y2 so i can mix the shades. I range from a mac nc25-30 so the two colours are great depending on how tan i am. I may get y3 in summer but for now, these two colours are doing an awesome job!
#update i decided i prefer this as a blemish/ redness concealer as i definitely prefer a creamy texture under my eyes. If you arent picky, this is a good all rounder!
