I bought this because I just really needed a peachy corrector since the previous one I’d bought in a haul from elf had been too dark and there aren’t a lot of colour corrector selections at my drugstore (also, I wasn’t ready to spend Sephora money on a colour corrector!).
I have really stubborn undereye circles as well as that annoying demarcation line between my cheeks and my mouth (something most people of colour will understand). I find on certain days that even a good concealer isn’t enough. The Essence stick is the right shade to colour correct the discolorations while ensuring that my concealer doesn’t give me that dreaded grey tinge after a certain amount of wear time. My problem with it though, is that the formula is far too stiff and hard to blend. If I have enough time in the morning, I’ll actually rub the formula between my fingers to heat it up before applying to my face. This helps a bit but
I do wish it were way more emollient and not so drying. That being said, this was dirt cheap and does the job for the time being. I’ll probably use it up and then try out their liquid formula next time.

I had this in yellow for concealing dark circles on light skin. It went on so cakey and unnatural no matter how lightly I applied it, but also gave zero coverage. It had a greasy feeling to it. It managed to be splotchy and thick but also slippery, so weird. Threw it in the trash after three separate attempts at making it work.

SAY NO TO REDNESS
This is a pale mint green that isn’t too dark for fair skin (I’m around Nc15-20) but will probably look quite pasty on medium skin and darker.
This cancels red nicely and is buildable for more coverage – BUT the texture is so difficult. No matter how much or how little I use this product: catches on any dry flakes/healing acne, settles into pores or skips over them, and worst of all – makes powder applied on top look cakey.
After buffing my foundation or blush on, it looks cakey because if this product.
Not a fan and I’m pitching it. Not worth it.

Pink: Wanted to like this, but it caused an allergic reaction.
Green: Again, thought it would be a good purchase, but it did nothing for red spots. Hardly even blended well, no matter how much blending or how little applied. Left a bright a mint color on my face lol. Not cute.
Hopefully Essence can improve these products so the above issues aren’t a problem anymore.

This $3 gem is great for young, fair to medium skin, but for mature skin with the typical fine or deep lines, it’s not an option. The crayon packaging is fabulous as it allows to apply it precisely.
It isn’t creamy, and application to delicate, mature skin requires too much tugging to blend; a better option is UD’s color correcting fluid.

This is my favorite under eye concealer in the whole world. I use it every day and haven’t looked back since I bought it the first time.

I just finished off a crayon so it seems like a good time to write a review. I purchased this after a Youtuber gave it a favourable review. I’ve been really enjoying the Essence mascaras so I was eager to give a different product a try as well.
When reading my review, keep in mind that I used this product during a very humid summer and I always have dark circles. We’re talking genetic dark circles combined with low iron combined with the lack of sleep that comes with having two small children. If you only have to worry about shadows under your eyes after a rough night, you may have a different experience.
I used this under my eyes to brighten the area, then used a bit of concealer at the inner corners, where I have the most darkness. It helps a little, but honestly it doesn’t make such a drastic difference that I feel like I want to keep adding that extra step to my daily makeup routine. It might be better marketed as a brightening crayon instead of a concealer. I also went through the entire tube pretty quickly (it lasted about a month) so even though it’s an affordable product, the cost would add up with constant use.
Overall, not a terrible product but also not one that I feel I really need.
Pros: Glides on smoothly, blends well, inexpensive.
Cons: Doesn’t provide much coverage, creases a little, product doesn’t last long.

Pink- I love this, it works so well on my under eye circles/bags and it’s super cheap! I like these crayons more than anything I’ve used so far.
***This is a review for the green concealer SAY NO TO REDNESS.***
I didn’t have high hopes for this, you usually get what you pay for and this was $3, but I thought I’d give it a try anyways. Turns out its not so bad. It’s a light mint green and works well for my fair to light complexion, not sure how well this would work for darker skin though. It does cling to dry patches a bit but not as bad as some concealer/correctors I’ve used in the past. In the end I’m glad I picked this up and when the other shades are in stock I’ll pick those up too.

It is a decent product but isn’t as good as other drugstore brand concealers.

I love this product and for the price I really can’t complain about it at all. There are so many expensive colour correcting pens and powders out there and considering this one was only $5, I’m impressed. Would buy again! And I want to try the redness one too!
