I am 51 with dark blue under eye circles, crepiness, and puffiness. These problems are new in the past year and making me a bit crazy because they are the only things that are really aging me (usually people guess I’m mid-30s). I have tried so many concealers, eye creams, correctors, etc. I ordered this one from QVC online and it came with a nice brush for $33. Sadly, this provides very little coverage for my dark circles, but it is very smoothing and moisturizing. It gives a bright, dewy appearance that is nice. Seems to last awhile. I will be playing with this some more, but I will definitely still need concealer on top because no way is this full coverage. Not even close. Love the SPF 50, however.

I had high hopes for this concealer. Unfortunately it did nothing for me. It didn’t cover at all. Heavily scented, it also irritated my eyes. As it was pretty expensive, I decided to use it up as a foundation. It looked good until, during the day, I noticed the palms of my hands covered in metallic sparkles. I had no clue where it came from until I saw my face in the rear view mirror of my car and saw lots and lots of sparkles on my face.
In the trash it went…

This product is thick and very full coverage imo. It brightens up my eye area when I use the shade Fair although if I was any lighter it would be the same color as my natural skin tone. I’m not the biggest fan of having to use a separate concealer to brighten the center of my face as this one is strictly for the under eye area but the look and feel of this is so nice I don’t mind making due. I put it under my eyes in a triangle motion and bring it down my cheek a bit to cover excess redness if any peaks through my base. The packaging is a nice bonus as the metal applicator feels really cooling on the skin which is perfect for tired-first-thing-in-the-morning eyes. I never thought that spf mattered for the eyes but I can tell that with daily use of this my under eye area will be naturally brighter as well. Usually I don’t ever buy into the hype of skincare benefits in makeup but It Cosemtics has won me over with this one.

This was not love at first application. LOL. I applied this and first off, the metal silver tip. I get a slight cooling effect with the metal tip. I have read some reviews that people do not use the tip to apply, and I think the metal tip might be what does some of the work/’magic’ if you will..
This does have a scent that is rather strong. Luckily it dissipates quickly.
I use the metal tip to apply, concentrating on my inner corner, and then tap it into my skin with my fingertips and blend out to the outer corner with either fingertips or a sponge or brush.
The fist time I tried this, I applied it and looked into the mirror about 5 to 10 minutes after applying. I saw nothing..it looked like it did nothing. BUT..about an hour later, I looked in the mirror again, and WOW!!! I looked ‘refreshed’ not tired, it did blend away my slight crow’s feet on my outer eye edges (age 45) and the puffiness was diminished. There was still a slight puffiness, but it was still greatly diminished.
I do wish It Cosmetics had more color options. But even with this limited color selections, the shade still somehow manages to work. I am currently tanned and debated between medium and tan. I was kind of at first leaning towards medium as I think going lighter would be better, but I went with tan. When first applied I was slightly kicking myself, thinking it was going to be too dark. But after it was applied and ‘settled’ into my skin, the shade was just fine!! This also is very lightweight and I even forget that it is on. It makes the skin under my eyes softer. The first day I wore this, I would very lightly touch the area (bad, I know) and wow, did it feel SOFT!!! So, it definitely hydrates!!!
I get no creasing or any ugliness with this.
I went back and forth between rating this 4 or 5 stars, but this does make my overall appearance much better and brighter. Not a highlighting type of bright, but just wide-awake type of brightening. A product that makes me look 20 years younger and makes my tired old eyes look wide awake and bright, yeah.. deserves a 5 star rating, in my book!

Bought this at ulta for dark circles and fine lines under my eyes , it didn’t do a thing for me. I did find a wonderful product called make up for ever ultra hd for the same price and I absolutely love it.

I’m wearing this right now and it is bothering my eyes, I may have to remove it and start makeup over again. The metal end of the tube pulls on my under eye skin, so I squeeze some out, always too much comes out, and then sort of pat it on. Then I stippled with the little brush it came with, let it sit for 10 minutes or so, and came back over it with the IT Celebration Foundation that I applied with the big kabuki brush that one came with. Basically, the brushes and Jamie Kern’s presentations seduced me into buying these products but so far they are both thick-feeling and not as effective as far as coverage and looking natural as they appear on TV.

Do you know how hard it is to find a good eye cream with SPF? I mean, something specifically formulated for the eyes? Clarins used to have a fabulous one but it was discontinued several years ago. Shiseido has/had an okay one (not as good as the Clarins but at least it didn’t sting and worked well with my concealer and makeup generally). Ole Henriksen has one but it is simply too greasy and “non-penetrating” to use in the daytime if you wear makeup. Clinique has one but it’s got pretty dismal reviews…. So, as I’m fairly fanatical about sun protection, I was really happy to get this concealer/serum from IT.
Sorry for what is bound to be a long review but where to start? I love the “cold spoon technology” applicator but not for applying the product; I just love the cooling feeling of the metal under my eyes. But trying to use it as an applicator is tricky as you can’t tell how much product is being dispensed! So I apply it much like I would any concealer in a tube – back of my hand and then I use a brush to apply – and use the applicator separately, just for the sensation. I’m very happy with the level of SPF but since I try to use concealer only where I need it, this means that most of my eye area, including my upper lids, is unprotected. Interestingly, the only 2 spots where I have sun discoloration are the inner corners of both my upper lids and I’m sure that is where UV rays get around my glasses, which are treated to filter out UV rays. But I think this one small area on both eyes isn’t protected by my glasses. And it’s not likely that I’d be layering this concealer there either but I would put an eye cream there for sure. This isn’t a bad concealer – it doesn’t offer the coverage of Bye Bye Undereye but it’s not bad and it does have a brightening effect. I got mine on the Canadian Shopping Channel and it came with a new concealer brush as well. I’m on the fence about the brush too. It’s too big to get right up under my lower lashes, though it does work really nicely to “stipple” the concealer onto the area where my circles are their most purple-y.
So to sum up – the applicator feels great but doesn’t really work as an applicator; the concealer has a fabulous level of sun protection; it’s supposed to contain lots of “good for your skin” ingredients and it does look nice and has a brightening effect even though it doesn’t offer a high level of coverage. It also doesn’t settle into or even “create” fine lines. It costs less and you get way more than the BB under-eye cream from Dior which has SPF but which I’d not been able to find in Canada the last time I looked. I just wish Clarins would bring back the great SPF eye cream they used to make!
UPDATE: So, I’ve had this for a few weeks now and I’ve reached the conclusion that this honestly doesn’t work well at all as a concealer, and to call it “full coverage” is a bit of a joke because it offers almost no coverage at all. But as I said at the outset, I’m really eager to find a decent sunscreen product specifically for my eyes so I’ve started using this as a day-time eye cream/under-eye primer (not unlike the Smashbox under-eye primer, only with SPF and a bit more coverage). It works really well this way (and is a lot less expensive for more product than the Smashbox stuff). I’d have given this 5 lippies if IT didn’t promote this as a “full coverage” product. But I will repurchase simply for the sun protection factor!
….and yet another UPDATE! It’s now the middle of August and I am using this stuff every day but as an eye cream and under-eye primer. I want the SPF benefits it gives but it really does work well as an under-eye primer (who even knew you needed such a thing? I didn’t til I tried the Smashbox one I mention above). I put the IT CC all around my eye area, including upper lids and then let it set for a bit before applying UD Naked or IT Bye Bye Undereye concealer over my dark circles and an eye shadow primer on my upper lids. I have really come to like this stuff as it enhances the effectiveness of whatever concealer I apply on top of it…the little bit of concealing/coverage it provides just makes my concealer even more “conceal-y” and it also wears nicely applied in this way. I honest think IT would be wise to rename this product and call it an eye brightener or enhancer or “first step” rather than a full coverage product.

I purchased this in a kit from QVC in medium. I purchased the light along with a concealer airbrush also from QVC. It’s not much as a concealer but I liked the brightening effect. This morning when I applied the medium shade I noticed that I had it all over my finger — the threads on the screw cap had broken apart and the tube was oozing product! I looked at my light shade and it was also broken at the threads. I contacted It Cosmetics by e-mail and then tossed two fairly expensive concealer that were barely used. I have the impression that It Cosmetics is expanding too rapidly. I see that they now have infomercials.

This doesn’t work as a concealer for me but I use it as a brightener so that makes it ok. I use the It Cosmetics corrector first then a dot of this as a brightener but I have to use powder because this does crease.
My tube seems to be half full of air. I can’t use the metal applicator and just squeeze against my under eyes because then I get too much product. So for me the packaging is very sub-par. And if I had not gotten this in a kit I doubt I would seek it out. Expensive for so little product. And not full coverage at all.

I do like this concealer, especially that it has the SPF in it. Unlike the original Bye Bye Under Eye, I would NOT recommend using CC Eye for anywhere but your eye area because it would be too shimmery. Also, I don’t get complete coverage of my under eye circles from this. It is excellent for actually brightening the area anyway, so I don’t try to layer it with the original concealer, also because this one has a tendency to settle in the few lines that I’ve begun to show in this area. I think the brightening makes my eyes look younger in spite of that.
