I’ve been using this concealer for over a month now and wanted to share my experience with it. I’ve been using it strictly for under-eye concealing rather than blemish concealing, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this review will not be able to speak to that.
Under-eye concealers are probably my least favorite makeup product. I find they’re really touch and go, fussy, and like mascara, tends to vary from person to person. For me, I have a lot of purple in my under-eye baggage and while they’re not massive or that different from your average person, I find I have a lot of texture in it that gets accentuated with certain concealers. (*cough*NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer*cough*)
After seeing a first impressions post from Musings of a Muse (who, normally, I don’t take advice from, but girl loves concealers and actually has really good insight on them) and her raves about it when it was first released, I decided to go to Ulta and try it out. I made a swipe and it was a perfect amount of yellow for me in the Ivory shade. I tried it on one eye without anything else and as a layering product for my tried and true that was running out, the Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher. With the Retoucher, it looked perfect. Alone, it was still pretty good, long-lasting, and hydrating, to boot. So, I was sold and bought it the next day.
Since buying it, there are some things I’ve noticed:
It has to be set with powder. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It’s so creamy and hydrating that it will crease or fade much faster without it. If you’re adverse to using any kind of powder or having to use a powder to set, this is not the one for you. Setting spray does not cut it, either. However, with a powder, I do find that it extends the longevity significantly and I get through at least 5-6 hours before wear and tear starts to show. With powder, I also don’t have as much creasing. Given that this is more hydrating and “lighter” coverage concealer, I’m not surprised it doesn’t have the same longevity, but it is still pretty impressive.
It builds easily. I use this for brightening my undereyes too and it can build to a more medium coverage. I find higher coverage concealers tend to look “cakey,” especially over the course of a given 8 hour period, but this doesn’t build up to an extremely high coverage. It layers and plays nicely with other products, especially the Urban Decay color correctors.
If you have a lot of purple in your undereye area, it *can* make it look slightly ashy. Near the end of the day, it can take on more of a gray appearance. I find layering it over a pink color corrector really helps out and avoids the gray color it can take on. This is strictly my experience, though, because of the colors in my undereyes–you may not experience this if yours are more of a blue or mauve color.
If you are looking for a lighter-to-medium concealer that is hydrating and plays nicely, it’s a really great option. I’m surprised more people aren’t raving or talking about this because it is actually a nice, natural looking product. If you need more coverage or prefer heavier concealers, this may not be one for you.
Overall, I really like this product and would definitely repurchase.
EDIT (9/18/16): After using this product for some time, it’s still a very good concealer, but I wanted to update to share my total experience with this product. It came to an abrupt end after struggling to twist it up and eventually, it broke off in mid-use. Based on the way it broke off and the fact that a lot of it ended up smushed on the side, I wasn’t able to use the remaining 35% of product. I’d still recommend this, still would repurchase, but I would keep in mind that it is not the most durable or sturdy product and that’s largely to do with the hydrating/creamy nature of the product.
Pros:
– Hydrating
– Good longevity for a lighter/hydrating coverage concealer
– No scent
– Does not emphasize texture in under-eye area
– Packaging is nice and compact, great for travel
– Very good at brightening under-eye area
– Does not crease when powdered (ymmv, this is my experience)
– Does not look cakey, even when built up
– Builds up easily
– Great for drier-to-normal skin types
– Plays nicely with other products; layers nicely with other products above or below
Cons:
– Needs to be powdered
– Could turn ashy (depending on the coloring in your under-eyes, ymmv)
– Not high coverage (for those that prefer it)
– More options for yellow undertones than pink (for those that have/prefer pink undertones)
– Not a wide variety of option for POCs
– May not be as long-lasting for oily/combo skin types
– May need color corrector to get best results (ymmv; this is my experience)
– More expensive at $32/0.08 oz (compared to Hourglass’ Hidden Corrective Concealer at 0.12oz/$34 or Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Waterproof 12-hour at 0.07 oz/$23)
– Because it is so creamy and a stick product, can wind up on the sides or breaking off if not careful

Great concealer- creamy, blends perfectly, set it with some powder and it will last you a very long time and still look good. I did have a LITTLE BIT of creasing, but nothing bad and not very noticeable. It also will layer well, which I can’t say for many other concealers! I have a more detailed review and a swatch on my video, linked below 🙂
