I’m not in the age range to buy any longer. In my 30’s all I wore was VS bras. Gradually the quality kept getting worse and worse. I haven’t bought anything from them in over 5 years. Go to Soma better quality all around. And their bras are just as cute. As for clothes my last forage was a sale bag grab, grocery bag and stuff it full for $10. I doubt I would be bothered today even as the bargain. I’m sure the college kid and below crowd will keep them in business. Go elsewhere when you need adult clothes

My problem with V.S is that they sell very few bras in my size. I am not a freak and not “enhanced” in any way. I am 5′ 6″ tall, 130 lbs, size 4 jeans. Smaller framed and curvy figure.
I happen to wear size 32DDD, and actually possibly even a 32F. When i have written negative reviews about how a particular bra is too small for me in their largest cup size, V.S does not post it, so you cannot trust the online reviews. They are artificially highly rated. I cannot buy bras at Torrid or Lane Bryant because of my skinny rib cage, 32 band size.
They carry very few bras in my size, and i am a very average person. No one would describe me as “the woman with the large chest”. I wish they would sell bralettes in my size, or with shelf bras built in. I have shopped at V.S for at least 30 years. I also wish that they would stop discontinuing products so frequently !!!
I have over 75 V.S bras and about 200 pairs of their panties.
Also, their panties run small. Many of mine are size large, but mostly I wear size medium. Now, if a size 4 has to buy size large panties, what do larger customers do?
I like their yoga leggings, size small, and their Victoria Sport items, size small.

Victoria’s Secret, at least for me, is over hyped. Their products are too expensive and not that practical to own given their price. Also, I constantly find it hard to find a piece of clothing that fits me perfectly. I would definitely not recommend this brand to anyone I know.

I only buy the non-clothing items so I can’t attest to the bras/panties/clothes but i buy, since discovering it in 2005, heaps of perfumes, lotions, body wash, makeup, lipgloss, body spray, hair care, Flipflops, water bottles, headbands, a couple of coin purses & a mini backpack; and I love them all! High quality for every day perfumes. VS are my signature scents. I’d love to wear their clothes but I’m too big. My faves are Heavenly, Bombshell & Pink. I think the store is a little overly sexualized which is annoying to put what heterosexual MEN’s spin & opining of straight (lets assume here for a minute that’s how the works. OK rather not!? Shakes head emphatically in agreement w u. That was never okay for women to assume a subservient role toward men not even in 1952) subordinate women as sexual objects of desire but if I could fit my fat butt into a pair of those “spank me” panties believe me I would. I’m a + sized thick girl so that’s not happening (spank me it’s a large target u can’t miss!) that I’ll even own any VS bras. Young girls get bombarded w all kinds ideals about overly anorexic sexually aware looking models who are strutting their bodies as their most valuable ASSet… not cool, but it’s these models job their body is their asset & product their job to perpetuate perfection but these models all they do is work out 8 hours living on bottled water & nicotine ur just never gonna look quite like those heavily airbrushed photoshopped pix). Underwear doesn’t mean you are easy or a thot or anything at all it doesn’t mean you are a prude if you wear a certain style of cotton panties it has no bearing it’s OK to buy Hanes in the cotton brief 6 pack. I <3 VS!! I am loving Pink perfume so much right now. It's so clean smelling. There is nothing "dirty/perverted" about buying underwear but VS makes it feel a little less than wholesome. I'd be embarrassed to bring a tweet/teen shipping w me there. What conventional attitudes are in perpetuity am I teaching a younger girl? But the iPhone app w angel card is my bestie fr... I got $250 in xmas shopping "to me from me" on thxgiving/Black Friday lol!!

A bit pricey but the bras last me a good while.

First things first: I rarely give out one lippy ratings. I also rarely rate things on a purely personal level — usually I can find enough redeeming qualities in a product or brand to overlook any personal issues as I’m usually able to see that while something wasn’t for me, it could easily work for someone else. That’s actually the case here — there’s a considerable subset of folks who can shop at VS and come away with something they’re happy with.
Still, I think the one lippy is warranted.
I find VS bizarre for bra shopping. In my area anyway, each location occupies more than enough space that they *should* be able to offer a great range of sizes. They don’t. They use slim but busty models to advertise their bras, yet they don’t actually seem to OFFER those sizes in their stores.
I popped into one the other day to check things out. Was running errands and the location was next to a place I had an appointment at so was basically passing time by smelling stuff.
I *know* they don’t carry my size and told them as much (was properly fitted at Nordstrom’s a year or so ago and THOSE guys have their act together — run, don’t walk, if you need a proper, professional fitting, no matter what size you are!).
Still, the SA somehow managed to talk me into a fitting. Okay then. Show me what you got?
Fitting “specialist” explained that VS sizes are different from other brands and they could fit me into their stuff. Did a cursory measurement (and I say that because the Nordstrom’s approach was much more thorough and accurate). She measure the top of my chest (that is, the area under my armpits but above my actual breasts) and nothing else. (???!!) Eyeballed the rest.
Brought in some bras for me to try on. Each and every one was a horrible fit. Band was too big; cup way, way too small. The cups were also just plain poorly designed, regardless of sizing issues. In terms of overall shape, they were like B/C cups in depth but just…wider. Way wider. (For the record, Nordies has me as a 32G/H, and yes, bras in that size fit properly. No, that size can’t be stuffed into a VS bra given their extremely limited range of cup sizes. Also, no, I don’t look like Dolly Parton. It’s just a weird size in that D/DD+-cups don’t work.)
I was like, “Look guys, I don’t think this is working out”. I’m a nice person and always try to be polite. The experience was testing my patience, though.
The bra I came in wearing was a much better fit and much more comfortable. (In fact, the bra I came in wearing was basically about the best fitting bra I’ve ever owned). The VS fitting specialist was actually argumentative on that point. She tried to claim my current bra didn’t offer enough support because the cup wasn’t double-lined or something (hello, lame sales pitch!).
Meanwhile, I’m stuffed into a poorly-fitting, unsupportive VS bra that’s extremely uncomfortable and not at all flattering, thanks to the fact that I was bulging out of the cups every which way. It is not fun knowing what I’m comfortable wearing and being told I’m wrong.
Nope, nope and nope. No way. Never again. Not popping my head into that place even to smell stuff. Maybe other VS locations are better, but my experience at this one was so singularly exasperating that I’m just not gonna.

I think it’s great for teens considering we constantly grow but it’s more cheap for adults because most of the material could easily break

There are good and bad sides of Victoria’s secret, all depending on what you are going to buy.
Lets start with the good: If you are going there to buy perfume or body spray or lotion, this is a good place to go. There scents are always changing and expanding, they let you try them out or sample them on a test strip before you buy, and there is constantly a sale going on. Maybe not for their newer scents which can range from $40-$80 on any given day. But if you are wanting a simple body spray such as “Candy Baby” “Juiced Berry” or “Sweet Tease” from their Beauty Rush line you can get it for around $15-$25 for a set of 3 of your choice. And lets not forget their enormous and ever-growing wall of VS brand body sprays such as the popular “Love Spell” or “Pure Seduction”. On a good day you can buy FIVE of those sprays for $25-$30 which is an amazing deal. Another good side to Victoria’s secret is the staff. Not so much the women at the register who often seem petty and snooty, but the staff who works in the dressing room to help you find your exact size has always been friendly and extremely helpful. Finally, if you have a special someone, all of their lingerie and intimate clothing are beautiful and sexy and their fun intimate products like the edible lotions and whipped lotions are fun to experiment with. (Although, a can of good ol’ Cool whip or some other ice cream topping will suffice for a fraction of the $)
And on to the negatives: Victoria’s secret is supposed to be known for their lingerie and sexy intimate clothing. I give them thumbs up in this department. It is true that their bras and panties and all are nice. But that Redneck woman song always comes to mind when I think about buying something from there…you CAN buy the same dang thing on a Walmart shelf for 1/10 the price. I have gone into VS before and found a plain, one tones, non lace, non push up bra for $50, and in Walmart you can buy a two tone leopard print with lace or rhinestones and all the trimmings you could want with or without push-up for only $10. And no one will know the difference. As far as their panties, go to Charlotte Russe across the hall in the mall and you can get AS CUTE cheekies, thongs, lace, boy short, bikini undies for around 2 a pair. $12 for 5! The same goes with the VS workout clothing line. All of their $40-50 yoga pants and $40 workout tops….Go to Target, Ross, eBay, Fred Meyer…..WHATEVER.
When you buy Victoria’s secret, you pay for the NAME, not the true cost/value of the item.

I have worn and loved Victoria Secrets for many years. I am a 34B and am generally not a difficult fit when it comes to bras. I find they are good quality, come in a lot of cute styles and the “very sexy push up” makes me feel a little better about myself without looking ridiculous. My bras have lasted through many hand washes/air dry and I have had some of them for close to 3 years (and they are still intact and shaped well). As many others have already stated the prices are ridiculous. Even with a $10 off coupon you will pay $50 for one bra. I tend to stock up on bras at the VS semi-annual sale when they are clearance prices. The underwear is great, good quality, even the fancy ones. The problem is that VS is very popular, therefore they can charge us anything they want…
I have a love/hate relationship with their makeup. I love the blush and powder highlighter. Some of the eyeshadows are very pretty and good quality, decently priced. The lipsticks are nothing special, they are comparable to Revlon and triple the price. The brushes are ok. All of the lipgloss is a sticky, tacky mess. One word to describe this line is GLITTER….if you are a matte lover then stay away…
I love their perfume, but become very frustrated when I find the perfect scent for me and wear it months on end only for them to discontinue it. I was sad to see “Divine” and “So in love” go. I’m curently loving “Sexy Little Things Noir” and pray they never let that one go! I will say the bottles of the perfumes with the squeeze bulbs are cheaply made, the bulb always breaks.
I have had some of their clothing and liked it (sweats, yoga pants, tees, sweaters, swim suits). The swim suits are top notch and worth the price when they go in clearance. The other clothes are nice as well but I would not pay the outrageous full prices.
One thing that is irritating to me are all of the young teens that go to VS. To me, VS is a store that oozes sensuality and sexuality….I think its a little mature for young girls IMHO. I just don’t think teens should be in such a mature store. Whatever, that is my opinion. You can totally tell the “PINK” line is marketed towards teens. And the sweatpants that say “sexy” on the butt or the underwear that says “yummy” are not appropriate for 14 year olds. Let me also add they are really not appropriate for anyone….they are tacky.
Anyways, most of the associates are pretty friendly. There is always a snot somewhere, but I have had generally good experiences with friendly staff that are anxious to help me find my size. In short, you can get name brand lingerie from other stores like Burlington, TJ Maxx and Marshalls for a lot less that is just as cute. When you buy from VS you pay for the name

In contrast to many reviewers, I buy most of my VS stuff online. I guess I tend to have a good eye at what is “cheap” looking because I rarely run into this problem, but, then again, a lot of what I’ve bought over the years are the nicer items like jeans, swimsuits, dresses, and sweaters. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on these clothes over the years. I’ll agree that it can be hard to figure out your size based on the sizing chart, but at this point I know my size based on my experience from ordering from them. I don’t order bras online because each style fits differently and may require a different size, so unless I’m ordering a duplicate of a style I already have, I can’t do it. My bras have always held up well with proper care for 2+ years. As others have mentioned, I love the VS cotton underwear and the 5/$26 deal; the underwear is super comfortable and lasts forever.
