It’s the first cleansing oil I ever used and I love it
I bought a 200mil which comes in a tube and was priced only 6$! It doesn’t have strong scent and doesn’t dry out my skin even a bit! whenever I washed my skin, even with plain water,I had to rush to put on moisturizer to calm down the dryness and tightness I felt but after washing my face with this oil and drying my skin with towel,I don’t need to apply moisturizer immediately,I can survive without it for half an hour or even more.so there’s no,zero, dryness, tightness, stretch, redness, sting and irritation after using it.I feel it creates a protective, moisturizing film on my skin but I don’t really feel any film, any heaviness on my face.it’s good even for super dry, eczema prone skins.
it’s also suitable for face as well as body but I usually use it as a face wash
There’s not much lathering when I apply it on wet skin so I prefer to massage it on my dry face and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.if you like to feel refreshed after washing your face it may disappoint you,but I’m pretty sure it does a good cleansing job.I use rich creams and balms on my face and a not so cleansing face wash would leave me with clogged pores and bumps which doesn’t happen with this cleanser.I double cleanse my face and remove my makeup before washing my face so I can’t comment on it’s ability in removing makeup but it has no claims in that case.I also don’t use it around my eyes as I have a separate Eye wash gel!
I have used numerous face washes marketed for dry skin but this is the only one that doesn’t leave me dry or red even a bit
The only CON is about it’s packaging.when I want to use it,no matter how carefully I squeeze the tube,a lot of product jumps out and there’s a waste and it’s probably because it has a runny texture but this problem can be solved if it came in a pump bottle.larger sizes which come with pump aren’t available here so I wish the 200mil had a pump too

This is called a “cleansing oil” but it’s nothing like traditional cleansing oils and more akin to a cleanser gel, and it’s also not marketed nor good for makeup removal. Mainly used as a body cleanser for sensitive skin which suffers from dryness, but can also be used on the face.
Uriage is another French pharmacy “derm skin care” brand centered around “thermal water” with focus on sensitive skin. In Canada you can get this at SDM and Rexall. Despite being called a cleansing oil this cleanser as very little actual oil in it with water being the first ingredient, and the cleansing ingredients are comprised of various surfactants and coconut oil derivatives. It comes in 500ml-1L sizes and initially I thought for the price and volume it would make a very affordable oil cleanser, but after testing I would only recommend this as a cleanser for the body.
How to use: Don’t start with dry skin like when using cleansing oil, just treat is as a body wash. In fact it’s quite a viscous gel so if you try to massage it around without water it you risk bursting capillaries(more on this later). Wet your skin and rub it around and it will turn white and lather a bit, then rinse off leaving an undetectable layer meant to keep your skin moisturized. The layer it leaves on your skin is not sticky, won’t rub off on towels when drying and you can’t really feel it it at all, there’s just a smoothness on the skin and other than that this rinses off cleanly like soap.
For face: use it in the exact same way, but because it leaves a moisturizing layer I prefer not to use it on my face so that my skincare will absorb better.
How well it works: I don’t have sensitive skin, but I have very dry skin and I bought this to help with winter dryness. The moisturizing layer it leaves behind does help skin from getting too dry with low humidity but you have to use it for a while as your old skin cells slough off before you see it making a difference. The ingredients generally seem to be the more gentle sulfates and surfactants and it feels quite mild with no fragrance so I don’t believe this would aggravate sensitive skin. Thermal water is also high on the ingredient list, which is also supposed to be calming for sensitive skin. It did not cause any breakouts on my body, but if you’re sensitive to coconut be warned there are coconut derivatives in this.
As a makeup remover: it’s not feasible as one and is not marketed as so but I tested it for this purpose anyway. First with light makeup, then on my hand with waterproof makeup. It did remove what was visible on my face(concealer, powder foundation and some eyeshadow), but I feel this has more to do with the friction of rubbing than any removal properties. When I tried to remove waterproof makeup applied to my hand it I had to rub it around for quite a while and still there was residue visible after I rinsed it off. In addition I ended up bursting a tiny capillary(!) on my hand even though I didn’t try to massage it dry. Overall I would not trust this to thoroughly remove my makeup/sunscreen whether it is waterproof on not. It might work if you have some micellar water on hand to remove any residue, but a real cleansing oil will do a proper and much quicker job.
Packaging: a normal pump bottle with a locking mechanism. It’s cylindrical so it stands up pretty well and won’t be easily knocked over.
Price: to try I bought the 500ml bottle for ~$20 at Shoppers Drug Mart, but they have a 1L version that comes with a bonus trial cream right now for ~$25. I would say this is a pretty good value for a derm brand, especially if you have sensitive skin that is hard to find good body products for.

Love. ???? I love this cleanser. I use it on my body skin, and even that of my child’s when needed. It is delicate, very cleansing, and very emollient. Anytime my skin is so dry or suffering an irritation, I turn to this cleanser without a worry: it calms my skin and protects it. Absent of added fragrances or harsh elements, it is the best cleanser for the body. Uriage are great products, unfortunately not well known in the USA (nor easily accessible). I buy mine online or in Canada easily, where they are recognized as a typical pharmacy brand.
I love the packaging, but not the flimsy pump. The pump itself works well, but the top is not sturdy enough for the bottle – it doesn’t hold its own under the needed pressure (especially on he large bottle size), and with any tumble (into the tub from the tub edge, for example), the pump top shatters into pieces. This is my only complaint about his product.
I love this cleanser though, and am always glad to have it in my shower. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!

This cleansing oil is amazing! I’ve actually notice a difference in the look and texture of my skin. As a child I had dry skin but never took care of it so I developed these patterns that look like cracks in the skin. I have only been using it for 2 weeks and I already notice the cracks reducing. Not even coconut oil has worked for me but this has. I actually don’t wait for summer to wear dresses and shorts and not feel so self conscious!

This is THE BEST cleansing oil I’ve ever tried. After massaging into your skin, add a little water to emulsify and the oil turns into a creamy foamy cleanser. Skin feels silky soft, not oily after rinsing off. This has done wonders for my dry skin and I wish I could find it in store but at least I can order it online. Marketed for face and body it is a multi-purpose cleanser that is fragrance-free, soap-free and contains glycerin and Shea butter which are gentle and super hydrating for your skin. I’ve tried other cleansing oils but most have fragrance in them along with other irritants. Hope it becomes more widely available (i.e. In store) because it is a fantastic product and I think many people would enjoy using this. Especially those with dry skin or skin conditions like eczema or dermatitis, etc.
