I never had a favourite cleaner, always just used whatever but ever since I bought this is always look forward to using it! I live how it’s not super oily feeling as it goes from gel to milk. Feels so smooth and gentle on my skin while removing every trace of makeup. When I wipe my face I am left so soft and supple, my skin is not stripped of moisture or irritated.

I tried getting a sample of this at sephora for the longest time and they never carried it in-store, apparently in my area it’s only online.I finally ordered and was disappointed.
The directions say to apply on dry skin with dry hands, then add warm weather while rubbing your makeup off in circular motions it should go from a gel to milk to cream. I found it took a lot of products to get my whole face clear of makeup and after washing off I found little sparkles all over my face! I don’t understand why skincare companies add shimmer to their products, it serves no purpose and is just annoying on a more mature face.
I am taking this back. I was expecting better results (I love cleansing balms) and even the scent wasn’t really there, most Ole products in his orange line smell great. This irritated my skin and was expensive for what you get.

After finishing an entire container of this cleanser, I think I can finally give my opinion on it. Although this cleanser does “melt” my makeup, it does not wash it away. After rubbing it in, I try to rinse my face for what seems to be an eternity to find that I cannot get the oily film off my face. This would be fine since it does feel extremely moisturizing, but I discovered that within this oil film is your “melted” makeup. When using this I had to either double cleanse or use a micellar water right after to ensure my makeup was removed. In my opinion, the point of a cleanser like this is to remove my makeup in one easy step, rather than going back in, otherwise I would just double cleanse with a regular cleanser. I will not be repurchasing this.

Definitely overprized. I bought this for 22€ when it was on sale (!). Appropriate price for this would be way under 10 pucks without this being on sale.
Pros:
– gentle, didn’t irritate skin or eyes
– pleasant faint smell
Cons:
– CROSSLY OVERPRICED!!!
– doesn’t seem to last long
– isn’t oily like I expected it to be, even when applied stays gel like
– has to be applied with dry fingers or you can end up ruining the product since its in a jar and not in a pump (water does something to it)
– doesn’t melt make up away, even when massaged to the skin. I even let it sit on my face for couple of minutes but still removed only a fraction of my makeup.
– idk how this works on a clear skin, but still wouldn’t purchase for that purpose either since there are many cheaper products of same kind which work much better

This is one of the best cleansing creams id ever used. When I used this my skin was so on point.
Basically this would be my special splurge item if I got a sephora gc or something. I used this to remove makeup– massaged it onto dry skin and then washed off with a tepid washcloth. I then went over with my regular cleanser and normal skincare routine.
I miss having this product so much! It didn’t sting my eyes and left lasting benefits to my skin.
I just can’t justify the cost. I already use a pricey cleanser, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen… I can’t add what is essentially a pricey makeup remover as well.
But it’s well worth it!! Would absolutely be a staple if I could afford that lifestyle lol. Made my skin so smooth, no breakouts, made my pores look less visible under my makeup. Maybe it just did a better job of cleaning gunk out of the pores. And my skin had a nice shine to it.
I miss when they had a 1oz jar for $13 bc it was definitely worth it for a pick me up splurge.
Way way better than clinique TOTD balm or the max cleanse off oil so if you want to splurge and spend like $30 on makeup remover I would direct you to this product in a heartbeat.

Got samples at Sephora, and bought it right away..I really like it, it leaves my skin soft and smooth, doesn’t dry it out, and I have normal to dry skin, I even use it on my eyes….it goes on easily, rinses very well..I cannot find anything negative about this product! Just wished the container would be bigger, as in the end, it gets expensive..
I will add that I massage it on my dry face, then rinse with a wet washcloth..works great ! I prefer it to oil cleansers, I did notice after while that it leaves my skin looking brighter

I’ve been wanting to try this product for awhile. So, on my birthday, into Sephora I go! (After, I hit the wine store, of course!) I love most of Ole’s products. The Apricot Cleansing Lotion and Balancing Cucumber Face Mist are my go-to’s. This is kinda of meh, ‘ya know? I gave up trying to rinse it off. Instead I do the hot water and wash cloth thing. So much better. The film MUA users have described seems to disappear as your skin dries. This would probably be good for people that travel a lot. Unlike me, who doesn’t go anywhere because I have too many cats. (Hey, someone has to take these guys in!)

I am a huge fan of Ole Heriksen products (Truth Serum is one of my HG products) and cleansing oils as well (Boscia devotee), so I was excited to try this product – it was a huge let down. I love oil cleansers because I’ll admit that while I am vigilant about taking off my makeup every night, I would not do it if it were not as easy as possible. Oil cleansers allow me to just smear oil all over my face to remove everything, and by some magic, emulsify in water and take everything away in one step. The oil cleanser I currently use is so effective that I don’t bother double cleansing, and this is what I expect from any cleanser that I would possibly introduce to my cleansing routine. This cleanser, however, did NOT remove all of my makeup in one step, and I broke out after using it! I used a toner pad to see how well it was cleansing the next time I used it and discovered that it was leaving tons of residue on my face, which was really disappointing. I do love the scent, the consistency, and how moisturizing it is, so I figured I could double cleanse when I use this cleanser (I do this on days when I wear heavier makeup anyway), and it broke me out again!
I think the fault of this cleanser might be in the way that it is marketed and how you’re directed to use it. I think the oils in this cleanser are too thick/water insoluble to be the type that you would just wash away with warm water, and the directions should be more like the warm water/hot compress w/ a cloth type that come along with the Eve Lom cleansing balm (which, is an excellent cleanser in its own right, but I hate waiting for my water to get hot enough to do this, steaming my face 3 times with a muslin cloth, etc – it’s something I don’t mind doing for my skin once in a while, but certainly not every night!). It is much lighter/less oily than the Eve Lom balm if that’s something you’re looking for, but if you’re looking for something similar to cleansing oils (Boscia, Josie Maran, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Shu Uemura, etc), I would strongly suggest skipping this one.

This cleanser works amazing at taking off your makeup. Probably one of the best I’ve ever tried. The problem I have with this is I can’t use it on my eyes. It stings. Well that is one of the reasons I use an oil cleanser to take off my mascara and eyeliner. This could be my favorite if that was fixed because it takes off more makeup than any cleanser I’ve ever used and doesn’t irritate my dry, sensitive skin.

Seems you either love or hate it. I love this stuff! Put on dry, then rinse. I suspect most of my mu is off by the end of the day, and doesn’t remove eye mu completely – but – it completely cleanses my pores and makes my face feel soft and look bright. Love the soft orange smell. Feels like it’s leaving a film, but after patting dry, I can’t detect and skin feels pampered. Have used sparingly but will use more regularly. I tend to switch off products and don’t always cleanse. Some oil cleansers are too drying. Look forward to seeing long term effects.
