This product smells awful- something like burnt plastic. The texture of this facial wash is silky, but unfortunately I cannot get over this horrible smell. My face feels clean but not stripped when I wash it, but I will not be repurchasing because of the scent.

I’ve been wanting to find a really good oil cleanser, so I’m glad I got the chance to sample Boscia’s Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel because now it’s one of my favorite facial cleansers! The actual full-size bottle comes with a pump and the product inside is pink, which I find really cute. I like how it doesn’t leave my skin feeling stiff and dry after washing–it just leaves a nice clean feeling. I do have oily skin, so when I use other face washes that are drying, my skin produces even more oil to compensate for it. So I find that this oil-gel is GREAT at preventing excessive oil production AND leaves my skin feeling clean. What I also love about it is that it serves as an awesome eye make-up remover. When using the oil-gel I first start off by rinsing my face with warm water. I use a little less than a quarter-sized amount of product, and just gently massage it over my face. If I’m too lazy to use an eye make-up remover before washing my face, I just massage this oil-gel over my eyes because it takes everything right off (including mascara)! Then just rinse again with warm water. Don’t let the word “oil” on the product scare you away from it. This cleanser uses natural ingredients rich in antioxidants and good for your skin.

I really wanted to love this since I splurged on it. For what it’s worth I really like grapeseed oil and mineral oil for removing my make up. This (Boscia) was really expensive however and did not out preform my two very cheap favorites.
For what it’s worth – this isn’t a straight oil. As the name suggests it’s a gel cleanser… it foams. Which is fine by me. I am oily, thus I don’t exactly need an oil. However it doesn’t fully remove my make up. True cleansing oils remove it with no problem. I have actually been using this and then following up with a real oil to cleanse….then following up with a soap cleanser…and some nights I use an AHA toner on top of that. WAY TOO MUCH. This should take the place of three of those. It doesn’t even give me any other results (decrease in acne or redness, less oily skin, nor fading acne scars…ect)
Will not repurchase. I’m giving Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil Gel 2 lippies just to be fair. It’s not like this gave me an awful breakout.
