I used a sample size of this for a trip. Unfortunately, it did not remove most of my makeup and (because I’m pretty sure most of it was left behind) I ended up with some clogged pores. I had to scrub my face with a washcloth for the remainder of the trip to make sure everything was off my face. I know that method isn’t the best for skin, but I was all out of options since this was all I brought besides my face wash. For the higher ratings, I’m kind of confused because it mentions pairing it with another type of makeup remover. Wouldn’t that defeat the purpose for the cost and expectations of purchasing a makeup remover lotion? I know a bunch of drugstore makeup removers that are a one and done so I couldn’t recommend pairing this with a second item for it to “work”.
Even though I was hoping to pack this for the convenience of future trips – it’s not even worth using the rest. Consider it tossed and not recommended.

I received a sample 30ml of this. It’s heavily scented so I don’t think it’s suitable for sensitive skin. I feel it doesn’t actually take off all my makeup either without having to use a fair amount of it.
So it’s a thumbs down from me ????????

I received the 30 ml tube as a gift for purchasing an Estée Lauder product. It does dissolve make up which you wipe off with a cotton but like all make up remover balms, they leave a film on your skin so you need to finish off with an exta cleansing step. It did not irritate my eyes like other reviewers. Overall satisfied but won’t purchase the full size because I have other cheaper MU removers that do the same job.

Got this as a GWP which comes in a 30ml tube packaging, it’s a thin white lotion that you can apply to dry skin and rinse or tissue off. I only used this to quickly take of my foundation because I would not want this near my eyes because of the fragrance. I don’t get why this needs to be scented it doesn’t even smell nice. I would not purchase this in full size because there are other (cheaper) products that take of your make-up without irritating eyes or skin, nothing special save your money!

I can’t begin to tell…what even is this? It didn’t remove much of my makeup and left my skin feeling dirty, oily, and disgusting. “Rinses away easily and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth with no greasy afterfeel or oily residue,” what? Are we talking about the same product? And to remove eye makeup? Didn’t even think of trying that. The instructions said to apply it to dry skin which I did, but I also tried to wet my face first just to see if there’s a difference and nothing improved. And I had to use a lot of it every time to feel like it’s “doing something” but that didn’t really increase its effectiveness, although I did use it up pretty quickly and that’s a good thing. I really wanted to give this product a one-star but it’s not bad enough in my book. At least it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin right? Anyway I’m very glad it’s only a 1 Fl Oz / 30 ml sample, otherwise I’d probably be furious with such a purchase.

I got this in a GWP recently. It does take off most of my makeup. I don’t see it doing any better than a good makeup wipe. I might even be tempted into buying the full size, if It weren’t for the smell. I’m not really that sensitive to smells, but this smell is horrible. It reminds me of a very strong household cleaner.

I enjoy this makeup remover. It doesn’t smell heavy, or feel too heavy, just a light liquid to remove your makeup. I usually use this or a cleansing water first, then a regular cleanser. This seems to remove most of my makeup. I like that it is in a pump. It is a bit pricey, but if you want to splurge, this is a good one.

As an everyday makeup remover I think it is great. It easily removes most of the eye makeup gently without rubbing the eyes. This product is not effective enough to remove makeup alone. I recommend removing the excess with a cotton pad soaked in miceller water. Using both these products together to remove eye makeup is extremely effective and quick. I do believe this is little pricy but there is a generous amount of product in the bottle.

As a lotion cleanser that you remove with a damp washcloth or muslin after using an eye makeup remover (other than this one), 5 stars. The directions say to tissue off or rinse. I could not get it to work that way. There was still makeup left and it was residue city. But as a hot cloth lotion cleanser, it leaves my skin super clean and soft. Seems like it could be marketed another way. Not crazy about the oil of cucumber type of scent, but it does not linger.

I think this is a great makeup remover. If it wasn’t fragranced and felt completely safe around my eyes I would give it 5 out of 5 because it MELTS waterproof/water resistant makeup. BUT it stinks a bit, and I have to be careful to not get it IN my eyes (even though is not so bad I have to avoid using it around my eyes), so its not perfect. Still If you want a makeup remover lotion that WORKS and you already have an eye makeup remover, I would totally recommend the Estee Lauder lotion.
I take it off with a damp cotton round and most of my makeup comes off, great pre-cleanse. This is not a one stop cleansing product. Its a makeup remover. I will also say its not as incredibly thorough as a cleansing oil (those can take off ALL of your mascara, ALL of your eyeliner, EVERYTHING) but on the flip side this Lotion is not drying AT ALL, and cleansing oils very often are insanely stripping. The main reason for that I think is that a cleansing oil emulsifies with water and you can rinse it off your face clean, taking with it all the makeup. Makeup removing lotions don’t emulsify completely, and thus some makeup may be left behind, specially some eye makeup.
That said I really like this, and would repurchase unless I can find something that works even better around the eye area (the estee lauder lotion works perfect on face, but not perfect around eye area.)
