$100 for a bar of soap that cleans ALL makeup and mascara without needing a washcloth….worth every penny for those with dry to very dry skin. However, on dry to very dry skin in the morning, it’s drying. Yes, I was shocked as every CdP salesperson I spoke with said this soap is the MOST hydrating of all their cleansers including the CdP Milky Cleanser; trust me, it isn’t. It’s fantastic on the body (yes, it’s a luxury but my KP is 100% gone due to it) and it removes every trace of makeup at night using just my hands and the cashmere-like suds; but I don’t use it for my morning cleanse (CdP or Chantecaille Milky Cleanser instead). The scent is very mild, the bar fits easily in your hand, the storage case is wonderful.

Okay, so I`m not the biggest fan of facial soaps, but this rose soap changed my mind about all that. I use it as the second step in a double cleanse (the first step is always an oil or a balm), and I am floored at just how well it cleans without drying or irritation. And the fragrance of roses is so natural and it`s a delight for me to use. The price IS steep, to say the least, but in my experience facial soaps do last a while longer, so I am willing to pay for this. I will repurchase, but just as soon as I try the Rose Cleaning Stick from the Korean brand S:um37. I`ve heard so many good things about that one and it`s not as expensive as the Synactif.

Ok so I broke down and bought this at first a small bar on Ebay, and I am waiting on an order of this soap From NM. I think my skin is getting better only after 8 days, I am convinced this is a great face soap. 100$!- a bar is a lot but well I’m worth it. But I can’t wait to have the pretty soap dish sit in my bathroom. Also ordered more of the line.

So NM sent me the wrong soap, and I was in need to get this soap as my mini bar was running out, so I ordered from CDP ONLINE, at least I knew I was going to get the right product versus the NM mistake, anyway I am totally convinced this soap has gotten rid of the hard white lumps under my eyes that were basically plugged pours. I first use Clinique Micellar gel to rid my face of makeup, which is awesome, anyway I then take the bar and make a lather in my hands and apply to a slightly damp face. When I’m feeling like I need a facial, and can’t go to get one, I make a lather and leave this on my face for a few minutes, avoiding my eyes but lathering underneath them. I only apply La Mer concentrate a couple nights a week. I do use La Mer perfecting treatment everyday that I wear my makeup, I mix this with my chanticaille future skin makeup and apply all over my face including eyelids. I am certain that after the past month my skin which is also going thru hormone related issues, is in much better condition then ever. I will keep updating as summer comes on.
Ok so I’ve been using this now for almost 2 weeks and my stubborn milia under my eyes is almost gone, no poking no needles no pain, just going away from the use of this amazing pore opening soap. Love it.

I think people need to get past the fact that this is a ‘soap’ and start thinking about it as a cleanser. I have purchased this product repeatedly and it is hands down the best for giving by dry sensitive yet acne prone skin a good cleanse without feeling dry. The new reformulated version is even better than the first one they released. Being a soap it is a bit inconvenient for travelling, but the smell is really soothing and experience of using it is heavenly. Although it is expensive, the fist soap I had lasted nearly a year, which actually makes it a bargain compared to other cleansers. I really love the whole synactif range and highly recommend especially for those with sensitive skin.

I did not particularly care for this soap. The container and soap are very pretty – a pale blush pink color with a mild pleasant powdery rose scent. But I didn’t feel that there was anything special about the soap to warrant the price. It did not dry out my skin but it wasn’t very moisturizing, either. I also felt I had to be vigilant rinsing it off or it left a residue. To me, the most appealing thing about this product is the packaging……. I would not buy it again.

After a massive Cle de Peau spend-a-thon, the lovely sales associates gave me a bunch of miniature synactif soaps, and a full size one. To make a long story short, I’m not sure all the pros of the Synactif soap outweigh the biggest con – the price. Sure, it smells incredible. Sweet roses, almost like YSL Parisienne. Combined with the clear, pink shade, it somehow makes me think of french ballet dancers. It also feels wonderful using it. However, like the La Mer Cleansing Gel, I think the cost for something that literally gets washed down the drain is a little steep for any benefits that might be gained.

The soap came with a beautiful hard plastic case. I was hesitant about buying an expensive soap, but I took the plunge anyway and didn’t regret my decision. The soap is easy to foam up. I have combo skin and my face did not feel dry and was visibly clean/almost a glow after wash. It took me a week to get used to the strong (although pleasant) fragrant. I took a star off because the price is just crazy!
