I really love the ten o six lotion because it thoroughly cleans your skin without drying it out. It is a very good product and I recommend it to all my friends and neighbors. It is very hard to find and buy this product in Ontario Canada so when I’m able to locate this product I recommend it to pharmacys in my area so my friends and myself are able to purchase it without going to far to find it. I have been using this product since the late seventies when I was first introduced to it. It is well worth the money that you spend on the product. I would be a very good spokesperson to sell this product in the London Ontario Canada area. I would really appreciate a job in this field if one becomes available in my area.

Omg!! I bought this product and was AMAZED the first days. Last weekend, i cleaned my face with my usual foam cleaner in the morning, then with this, put my usual cream on afterwards and went out for a run… MY FACE, specially my chin and nose hurt so bad! They are fleaky, dry, red, the areas where i used this the most. I have been putting face oil now to try to save my skin, but is so so so dry and hurts so much. It made me break out also alot!!! I read only the good reviews before i bought it… now i see that it happened to so many people too! Please if you are going to buy this, get a sample first!! Is toooo harsh :((

I’ve been using this for the past 2 months or so and I’m very pleased with the results its given me. The best way to apply it is to use a cotton pad and rub it over your whole face morning and night. It has helped my skin with breakouts and helps it calm down. A single bottle can last you a good while if you use it sparingly. I would totally recommend this product to anyone with acne prone skin or oily skin.

I used this in the 60s and it was the best product to take camping as I could really clean my face anywhere. Found it again and now I mix it 50/50 with witch hazel to make it milder for my older skin. Still like it and will continue to buy it but use it as a toner now rather than a cleanser. Love how clean I feel after using it.

This is the one skincare product I cannot live without.

I actually love this. It’s basically a toner, and it’s got a lot of acid and alcohol, which is very apparent by just reading the bottle… knowing it has alcohols and salicylic acid, it’s obviously going to burn. The alcohols and acid disinfect the skin and pores from bacteria that causes pimples, and dries them out. I think it smells good, but if your sensitive or don’t like fragrance, I wouldn’t use this product (or any formulas products). Always follow with a very moisturizing serum or moisturizer, or else your dry skin will cause MORE pimples. It’s a great cost effective product if you actually know how to use it, and read the bottle.

Years ago I can see this product being popular. In 2016, it is puzzling why people would still put this on their skin. There are good alcohols and bad alcohols. Ethanol or ethyl alcohol, denatured alcohol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol, SD alcohol, and benzyl alcohol are the bad alcohols except when present in very small amounts (bottom of ingredient deck). The first ingredient is Denatured alcohol. Number one it also destroys the substances in skin that help soothe and defend against environmental damage.
If that weren’t bad enough, exposure to alcohol causes healthy substances in skin to self-destruct. The research also showed that these destructive, aging effects on skin’s substances increased the longer the exposure to alcohol; that is, two days of exposure was dramatically more harmful than one day, and that is only a 3% concentration.
In addition to being drying and sensitizing, these alcohols can disrupt skin’s surface layers. Alcohol helps ingredients like retinol and vitamin C penetrate into the skin more effectively, but it does that by breaking down the surface layers of skin—destroying the very substances that keep your skin feeling healthier over the long term. There are many other ingredients that will help those ingredients penetrate more effectively without the damage.
30 yrs ago this wasn’t a great formula but knowing what we know now and with very cheap alternatives there really isn’t ANY reason to pay to damage your skin to this extent. Every dermatology journal out there tells you the dangers of these types of alcohols. Years ago I used Sea Breeze. I was probably addicted to it because I felt nothing cleaned as good because of the feeling I got from the menthol (which is also horrible for the skin) and it took me a while to stop using it. I would not believe my dermatologist when he told me how bad it was for my skin because I didn’t see any obvious damage. Thankfully he explained to me how damage was occurring in the lower layers of my epidermis and it would indeed show up one day and there was no repairing it once it happens.

Throw-back! Yes, this is THE 10-0-6 you might have used back in the ’70’s or ’80’s by Bonne Bell. So harsh for my aging dry skin nowadays – I dare not even try it – but for my 11 year old tween with white heads, clogging and congestion in the T-zone? Away we go…

I’ve been using this product for 7 months now, I previous used Benzac (Benzoyl Peroxide 5%) which is EXTREMELY harsh on your skin.
I chose Formula 10.0.6 because it is cruelty free and won’t damage my skin like Benzac.
I have quite oily skin in my T Zone and am prone to acne.
This product is more of a toner than a cleanser for me (I also use Formula’s Best Face Forward Face Wash). It has a very strong alcohol smell which is a little off putting, and I find the packaging leaks if you travel.
Once applied to the skin it gives you a tingling sensation which I really like, I can feel it working in my pores. I use this morning and night after I cleanse my face, and once during the day to blot my face (and dang it picks up some oil)!
If you use this product how I do, you will find it quite drying. I have rather oily skin, which is why I use it this way. I would recommend as a one step if you have normal skin.
Overall I quite like this product, I am currently on my second bottle and will probably buy a third. The only thing that really puts me off is the smell, it’s like you’ve opened a bottle of vodka. I don’t know if that much alcohol is good for your face.
Edit: I am not repurchasing this product. I can’t stand the alcohol smell anymore and find it is increasing my oil production. I had to blotch more and more.
This amount of alcohol isn’t good for your skin, I no longer recommend this product.
Check my reviews for my replacement.

I briefly used 10.0.6 back when it came bk in the 90s but I stopped seeing it @ stores I put it out of my mind then an Ulta search showed up they handled 10.0.6 so I was so excited. I ordered the sensitive skin blue cleanser (reminds me of micellar cleanser as it can be used on eye area UNLIKE THIS!), the mattifying moisturizer, 3-in-1 cleansing mask, a mud mask & then was so impressed got daily cleanser, a back up of the moisturizer, PM cream & this. This is my basic skin care. I quit using Clinique 3 step to use this. It all works together so good I got 1 blemish (from being stressed out), it’s been a couple of months now but this regimen does not dry out skin. If I feel a dry patch like I will apply a thin layer of Vaseline (sounds weird but Vaseline is eye cream it makes the delicate eye skin like velvet in the morn!). I need take alcohol in this coz I am an oil slick. All those oils don’t beget more oils doesn’t work for me. I was going to get into BHA/AHA/glycolic/Vit C serums/retinoids, not only expensive but can irritate skin badly. My skin is clear w this cheap toner skincare regimen why fix what ain’t broke. I’m 39 but my skin acts prepubescently. I encourage u to try this for brevity sake I won’t list reasons why BP sux for skincare & Y I hate most clean&clear evthing cept moisturizer.
