I originally started using this about 4 years ago and switched between this and just simple cetaphil cleanser for oily skin. I have very oily skin but it’s dehydrated. I don’t have bad skin but I get the occasional pimple that’s really deep! I do however, have really big pores on my nose and this product is amazing for that. It cleanses my skin so deeply, reduces oil production, reduces the size of my pores and literally stops any occasional breakouts I would usually get. My routine is: cetaphil in the morning with sunscreen and this cleanser at night after a long day (using cetaphil to wash off any makeup) then I use a tiny bit of retinol in my moisteriser. I will also use pure honey as a face mask (literally just put pure honey on your face thinly and leave for 15 mins – highly antibacterial, cleansing and deeply moisterising) once a week! This routine has literally saved my skin and I’m always getting asked how my skin looks so bright and healthy (I’m a smoker, I tan, but i train 6 days a week and drink 4-5l of water a day too!)

Horrendous breakouts and smell is awful.

I have been searching everywhere for a great cleanser like this! I have very oily skin with pimples and black heads and after using many products and spending a lot of $ i have finally found something that loves my skin! It has a great texture, not too scratchy and the grains are tiny so its not as harsh on my skin as other brands i have tried. I’m definately looking forward to ordering more from this range because it’s such great value

I love the skinstitut skin care line, I have mainly been using the glycolic scrub 14% which I was first reccommended to try by the girls at a laser clinics for areas that had been lasered, as an exfoliant to avoid ingrown hairs between the hair growth cycles, but I also used it as a face scrub, and I got to be honest it took about two months of using this product with a lot of break outs before it really improved my skin, I read it tends to make your skin breakout and get worse before it gets better because it is giving your face a deep clean, but I persevered! And I’m glad I did, I feel like it has minimized my pores and breakouts, I still get some breakouts due to hormonal reasons but I feel like this has really helped my skin, I try not to use the scrub every day as it is rather harsh, will probably make your eyes burn the first couple of uses! So I have been using the cleanser on other days.
The product comes in a huge bottle that last ages because you only need a pea size amount each time you use it!
I also use the moisture defence oily skin moisturizer which is great cos I have a rather oily T zone, and I sometimes mix it up with the retinol serum to avoid breakouts.
I have been using these products for over a year now and will continue to use them 🙂

Love love love this scrub! I’ve been using it everyday and despite my worries that it would dry my skin out its done the total opposite. My pores have massively reduced in size & my blemishes get smaller each day. It’s gentle enough to use everyday yet effective enough to thoroughly exfoliate & clean your skin. I leave it on for 30 secs before I wash it off as advised on the back of the bottle & it works a treat! Wish I had discovered this scrub earlier 🙁
The only con I can think of is that it can be quite harsh if you get it near your eyes so make sure you avoid the eye area as best you can!

I am a new convert to Skinstitut because I wanted a cosmeceutical range that does not braek the budget. Everything in the Skinstitut range is under $40 Australian, even the retinol and Vitamin C products. This has been my latest purchase and so far I am really loving it. I use this at night and it completely removes all my makeup and sunscreen. Unlike glycolic cleansers that I have used in the past, it does not irritate my skin, not even a little bit. The tube is really large and you only use a pea size amount of product, so value for money, this is a real winner. I was previously using Cosmedix Benefit Clean and it was just getting too expensive. I will definitely purchase again!

I think my glycolic cleanser is only 8% but it works beautifully. I only use a pea sized amount as instructed so the large tube will last me for ages, and I find it to be gentle on my skin. It makes my skin soft and smooth and I am constantly told I look young for my age. But I also use sunscreen every day of course!

This is the best I’ve tried, and ASAP’s used to be my favourite.

This was a new brand that I came across at Laser Clinics when I did a microdermabrasion. They recommended this scrub for me for a more thorough cleanse. Obviously, drugstore scrubs weren’t working for me. They were heavily directed towards acne prone skin. I just needed something to clear the dead skin and roughness from my face and wont irritate my skin.
This is by far the best scrub I’ve ever used before. I like that there are lots of tiny beads and that I can feel them when I am scrubbing my face. It does make your skin smoother after using it, but for me, I think it surfaces any pimples that I would have had coming. I guess this is good in a way to help clear it out. I have sensitive, dry skin so I only use it once or twice a week at most. I use it twice a week when I get the rare breakouts, otherwise once a week is enough. I sometimes use this as a spot cleanser/scrub on breakouts if they are huge and I just want them to pop already. I do this because I don’t want to irritate the rest of my face due to my sensitive skin.
It’s winter now and my face is usually always dry and flaky. I’ve noticed that my skin has less flakiness/peeling now, whether it be because of this scrub, or because I’ve been moisturising better. I do honestly think it is this scrub, because even if I moisturised better, it would only prevent me from getting any more peels than I already had. Lately, I’ve hardly developed any peeling whilst using this scrub.
Definitely recommended and I can’t wait to try Skinstitut’s other products.

Product:I have been using skinstitut for years and absolutely love it! I highly recommend it. Skinstitut is a great and affordable brand that, unfortunately, not many people know about. I have been using a range of their products and they really work.
I get the occasional breakouts and I have large pores, which I hate.
This products gets rid of pimples, reduced the noticeability of my pores, makes my skin look radiant and very soft!!
There is one Skinstitut product I love best and never go without, however, it is not listed on the website. It is the Glycolic Scrub 14%. It makes a WORLD of difference and is my #1 skincare product which I highly recommend.
Price:All Skinstitut products are $45 (AUD) but they last a long time and these listed products can be bought about $10 cheaper online.
Packaging: Its not the most stunning packaging but its practical and I cant complain.
