I am absolutely in love with this cleanser! As others have noted; it doesn’t do a great job of removing full makeup, but neither does my other favorite cleanser, CeraVe. Combined, however, they do a marvelous job of removing every trace of makeup, leaving my face completely clean, refreshed and supple. I used makeup remover wipes before with CeraVe, but I found them to be quite drying. I don’t have that problem with this cleanser. I don’t feel any tightness at all. Great stuff!

Love this cleansing water, I sometimes like to re do my foundation but don’t wanna take my eye makeup off so I cleanse my foundation off with the cleansing water with cotton pads and re do my makeup and it’s so quick! Also when my skin is feeling oily I like to refresh my skin with the water cleaning with a cotton pad ad it feels so fresh and clean again. It’s oil free which I love too

The smell of this is light and fresh. It did not irritate my skin at all. It has a pump and you are supposed to pump it onto a cotton ball and swipe over face. It feels light, like a toner, but was pretty decent at cleansing. I did not use it to remove makeup so I cannot comment on the effectiveness in that area.
I needed to use 4 full pumps for my face, (again, I did not use this for makeup removal), and at that rate, there is a noticeable decrease in the amount in the bottle. Based on this, I would need to replace the bottle quite often with regular usage. I will continue to use the remaining amount, because it does feel fresh and light, but will not repurchase due to cost and this product will not replace anything I currently use.

This is what I call my “lazy” cleanser. When I’m up studying all night and don’t have the energy to do a thorough cleaning or out late and too tired to take off my makeup, I like to use this. It isn’t going to get 100% of your makeup off because that’s not what it was meant for. But it’s useful for those lazy days or when your face isn’t really that dirty.

This is a water based cleanser recomended for oily skin, normal skin and combination skin types. I have oily skin and I thought it would work for me. I’ve used 3/4 of the bottle right now and I won’t repurchase it again.
PROS:
– Smell (sweet and floral)
– Alcohol free –> you are not supposed to use it as an eye cleanser, but you can and it won’t irritate your eyes.
– Nice packaging (box and bottle shape)
– Works with a pump (very sanitary)
– Usefull when you are looking for something fast if you are not wearing heavy make up.
CONS:
– Price: 23€ Sephora (spain) and $21.
– Smell (if you are looking for a fragance free product)
– My skin does not feel clean after using it even if my make up is not heavy.
– My skin feels very oily after I use it (and it is worse if I skip toner)

I would not purchase this product as I believe it is more of a toner when used on my skin. The Pureness range in a whole is quite good so when I tried this I was expecting it to work – does the job of removing light makeup, however not sure it is what I am looking for.

Wonderful cleanser when you are in a hurry. I love this stuff in the summer when I hardly wear foundation. It’s quick and easy and doesn’t dry out my skin. I know that some people don’t like it because it won’t remove heavy make up and it’s not supposed to.

While I’ve been using Shiseido and the Pureness line for forever, I haven’t always been a makeup whore. So I bought this out of familiarity and general presumption that it would work. Little did I know that it wasn’t for eye makeup–instead it’s for your face. It pretty much has the same consistency as Pureness Balancing Softener. I experimented with its removal power of foundation versus the Refreshing Cleansing Water on my face with my foundation on. I think it’s the same result, so I’m only going to give it 4 lippies. I can easily get the same result if I didn’t use it, I think. I just might have to use more of the Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam to wash out foundation, though. Non-stinging, non-stick…pretty much just like the softener. Bottle is identical to the softener bottle.

it’s oil-free and alcohol-free but seems like a toner to me rather than a make-up remover. i don’t understand how people can use it as a toner instead because it isn’t! suitable for super-light make-up people who only use concealer maybe. doesn’t work for me.
