After a Guinot facial, the beautician recommended an armful of products for my skin. I asked which she would purchase if she could only afford one and she opted for this cleanser. Now, having tried all their products, I know what she was talking about. This cleanser is designed for dry skin and I find it perfectly soothing. I like the thick milky consistency and the floral spa scent. I massage it onto my face for a couple of minutes and then remove with a damp cotton pad, followed by the matching toner. I really notice a difference in my skin since I started using this. It is considerably softer and smoother, but still clean. The cleanser gets right into your pores and really preps your skin for the next course. My moisturisers sit better and last longer. You can find it cheaper on eBay which makes it much more affordable.

Refreshing cleansing milk is good for day and night. Lately in the winter mornings my face feels dry so I always use this after my regular face wash for smoother and hydrated skin. At night I always use it after washing off my makeup to make sure I removed everything.
The best way for me to use at night is to wash my makeup with regular cleanser pat dry and then use the milk cleanser and a cotton pad to wipe it off. When I notice I still have makeup on my cotton pad I would rinse my face with warm water again then slather moisturizer.
I haven’t had any breakouts of acne from this product but I do feel like its unnecessary, because I could always wash my face longer or twice if I can’t get everything off my skin. However this does prove my skin is still dirty from the makeup and It’s just that extra step to keep my skin clear and free from clogged pores. I wouldn’t repurchase this product because it doesn’t do more for my skin. Kind of feel like it’s just more money spent for a makeup remover.

Very good milk, I used it in the evening to break down the makeup. And in the morning its a very good option to wash your face with. Doesnt irritate, dry out, clog pores or anything. Leaves skin fresh and soothed. Really good but I wont repurchase and will try to find something with similar effect and half a price.

Texture of the cleansing milk is quite watery and spread well on the face. Face feels comfortable and leaves no greasy residue after rinsing with water. It is a very gentle cleansing milk so I don’t think it will be suitable for heavy makeup unless you are willing to go through several times of cleansing with this cleansing milk.
Is not a bad cleanser but I don’t think I will purchase it again once I finish with it.
UPDATE ON 10th of Feb – too gentle as a makeup remover but is a pretty nice cleanser on it own. My face feels soft , clean and does not feel greasy at all after rinsing with only water. No need to double cleanse at all. I am liking this now.

I have dehydrated skin and the milk acts as a two-in-one cleanser and moisturiser. The smell and texture of the milk is lush, and makes cleansing your face somewhat of a ritual. Pricey, yes, but it works for me.

I love the smell of this cleanser! It just feels so rich and creamy on your skin and does an amazing job of not drying out your skin. I have very sensitive skin and love this product <3

This is the best cleansing milk I have used yet, and I have dehydrated, acne proned skin. It applies smoothly and gently, and the light rose fragrance makes it such a treat to massage on the skin. After washing it off and patting dry, my skin feels supple and smooth without feeling any tightness. I have problems with acne especially on my chin area, and I felt that my situation has improved (more balanced moisture and less break out) after a few uses. Follow it with Guinot toner and my skin feels fine and refreshed.
However, I would NOT recommend to use it as make up remover. It is too gentle to remove eye make up and foundation. Some of the products (like Shu Umuera cleansing oil) is a 2 in 1 but this cleansing milk is clearly not. Always use a make up remover to remove colors from your skin before applying this product. You will find that the Guinot cleansing milk works great to remove any excess dirt and oil off the skin.

I love Darphin products in general. I used this cleansing milk during summer and it performed well. First of all, I dont expect my cleanser to remove my makeup, for that I use a seperate cleansing oil mostly. It was just nice at refreshing my skin, smells nice as well. It’s not as heavily perfumed as e.g. Clarins ones, but it definitely has scent to it. Price-wise, this is really expensive. I just think you can get same results with a cheaper pharmacy brand as well.

I almost changed my mind about reviewing this (or any skin care product) since my skin in truly exceptional, and not in a good way. For example, out of all the pores on my face, I can safely state that 80% of them are occupied with delightfully attractive blackheads.
But then because of this reason, I decided I definitely needed to review this cleanser since it is the only one that has even come close to working on my stubborn clogged up face.
It was introduced to me while i was on holiday in kuala lumpur and decided to get a facial, mostly because it was too hot to wear makeup anyway so I saw it as a good chance to let my skin repair itself.
I had the best facial of my life – that little lady worked on every pore, extracting like a master and she actually really cared about me and my skin. She sent me away with the full size cleanser and other darphin testers and made another appointment for me. She had me cleansing morning and night with specific instructions and was really pleased with the state of my skin a week later. She did another extraction to get the rest of them and then unfortunately I had to leave KL.
I enjoyed completely clear and smooth skin for about 3-4 weeks (still cleansing diligently as well as using darphin hydraskin serum) and now I’m back to square one; all pores blocked. This is mainly due to laziness and skipping cleansing in the morning but also I need the regular extractions to keep on top of it. It’s costly, but worth it.
So, in short, this cleanser is great to maintain healthy, clean pores. Even if you don’t have the same problem that I have, anyone can benefit from a cleanser as deep cleaning and non-drying as this. It has also helped even out my skin tone a lot.

I have sensitive combination skin and absolutely love this cleanser – It rinses off with water and then I finish off using the Refreshing Toner. I did try their Intral Cleanser because of my very sensitive skin, but I much prefer the Refreshing Cleansing Milk as it gives me a much more even skin tone.

I am the pickiest, snobbiest product monger and I am slowly becoming obsessed with Darphin products. The Arovita C line response cream is my HG for sure, as is the serum, firming cream and eye and lip contour cream. I tried this cleanser last night for the first time. My usual cleanser (Lancome Clarifiance) is my summer HG but has become too drying over the past few weeks now that I’ve turned the heat on in our house. Well, the Darphin is heavenly! My combo-oily skin loved it right away. The real test will come after I’ve been using it consistently for a few weeks. I will edit my response if things change, but for the time being, I will be using this cleansing milk with my Eve Lom flannel every night! 🙂

Product Description: For normal to combination skin. This delightfully scented, light milky lotion gently removes make-up and impurities to leave skin clean, soft and refreshed. Apply generously to face and neck. Massage gently in circular motions. Remove with tissue or rinse with water. Follow application with your appropriate Toner.
Key Ingredients: Fig extract and Banana Tree Flower. 200 ml/6.7 oz
On MOI: Thorough gentle cleanser, removes light make-up giving you a clean, refreshed make-up free complexion. Didnt experience any breakouts from this. I have combo/oily skin & switched to this during winter cos my regular cleanser was causing my skin to peel. 1 200ml bottle lasted me through the winter month. Wont be repurchasing cos the smell of the product was enough to make me puke. People sensitive to smell should really avoid this! Smells very sweet & cheap. The smell reminded me of a body shop product. Do not that this only takes of light makeup. It didnt even managed to remove mascara.

I bought this from a representative of Lierac. She told me this was the best make-up remover for sensitive skin… rubbish! It takes ages (and looooottttts of coton pads) to remove (non waterproof) make-up. Result: my skin got irritated like hell+makeup residu on my towel. And I do not even ware heavy make-up.
LIERAC : lots of promises, but keeping these is another story.
crushedMoth1
Very runny texture and extremely fragranced. Im not sure how it would disolve makeup because I’ve used it as a 2nd cleanse. If you like french pharmacy brands, Lierac is a nice one to try. As for the cleansing milk, I think there are better IMO.

I recently discovered Lierac’ s products and I love them. They are created with the consept of phytocosmetics and are on nice fancy packages…
I have combo skin and like to clean my face with milk and toner as it saves my hydrolipidic skin film…Soaps and water usually dehydrated as time pases.
This milk puts of all traces of makeup, except the eyes it needs en extra with an eye-remover,cleans my face nicely and makes it refreshing without putting off natural oil.
My only complain is that it tingles a bit…I tryed the gentle milk remover also that it is for dry/sensitive skin but it does the same not so much as this one though. That’s why I took one lippie of.
I have used a bottle and going to repurchage another one when the gentle line that I took this time finishes.
Price: 19,70euros. Mid pricetag but really good.
Package: Fantastic I have a photo that I am going to put it in the end of my review,I adore the dispenser.

I came back to this product out of sheer desperation – my sensitive, acne prone skin was flaring up in response to a regime suggested by my beauty therapist (MD Forumulations, supposedly perfect for skin like mine). I had used the Guinot cleanser a few years ago and liked it then. Sure enough, my skin has calmed down since I have started using it again and is much clearer and softer now. It’s not the perfect cleanser but I haven’t found the perfect cleanser yet. In the meantime this will do – it feels lovely to use and doesn’t cause me to break out. I will buy again.

This cleansing milk is the best I’ve ever used. The texture is lovely, very soft and creamy(not oily), the smell is gentle but pleasant.I use it with refreshing toner which I also love.First I take some milk in my palms, enough so it doesn’t absorb in my skin immediately and then massage gently all over my face.It removes makeup well too(maybe not waterproof or very heavy makeup). Then rinse with water and finish with toner. My skin feels very comfortable, soft and calm after using them. Also it doesn’t cause any breakouts, though I’m very acne-prone. It has actually improved my skin a lot.I’d definitely recommend it. Only downside is the relatively expensive price, but I’d still give it 5 stars.

This a great milky cleanser, quite simple but with a strong fragrance. It is also expensive, but in the similar price range to other skincare I have bought in the past and this works much better. I like the pale pink colour and bottle. I bought mine whilst in France and stocked up so it worked out quite cheaply in the end. Guinot have some good products and I will continue to use this.
