TL’DR if you’re looking for an affordable cleanser, and have dry sensitive skin where most cleansers leave your skin feeling too tight after use unless you put on moisturizer – this is for you! Product also has a tiny bit of Centella Asiatica for those needing a calming cleanser with their very light seb derm/eczema.
I’ve been trying to minimize the amount of product I put on my face and was looking for a cleanser that stripped away minimal make-up (eyebrow pencil, waterproof eyeliner and some blush) without drying my face. I have very sensitive skin and dislike the ultra clean feeling I get where my skin is stripped of everything and feeling tight after cleansing.
This cleanser is pretty milky with little tiny bits of sea salt that help scrub your skin. The 20% sea salt version for dry skin doesnt have as much salt, so it exfoliates less than others, but you can still rub your face a little harder in spot areas (I do my nose) to get some exfoliating. The feeling you get after using this is different and takes getting used to, cause my face doesnt get tight and dry. I can wash my face, towel dry and forget to put on moisturizer. After using this for the last 6 months with a basic moisturizer, I found my skin has become pretty supple and I have less black heads.
Also added benefit – I occasionally get some light seborrheic dermatitis or eczema along my face. The dry red spots drive me nuts and they don’t go away unless I use the steroid prescription by my doctor. However! this face wash helps lengthen the period between when I get those breakouts. It could be because it has some Centella Asiatica Extract in the incredients (the source of what people know as Cica or Madecassoside) which is known to help some seb derm in Asia.
