My mom got a free sample so I used it when I was visiting to remove my makeup because I was sick and too lazy for my usual process. I know it says that you don’t have to rinse but I can’t not rinse; my pores clog very easily and this is apparently oil based so no thanks. I applied it to my wet face and washed it off with a damp washcloth, it didn’t really lather at all which is fine. When I went to apply my Vichy Idealia night peel, there was makeup all over the cotton pad. Not just a little bit. I was very disappointed.
Pros:
It seems to be very gentle and didn’t leave my face feeling tight
My skin felt soft after I used it
I like the fact that you can get it in a large size for a decent price
The tube is nice, much better for the shower
The scent is nice, not overwhelming at all
Cons:
It didn’t remove my makeup
My skin felt like it had a slight film over it, maybe I should have just rinsed better though.
I still mad I had to wash my face a second time, but it’s probably fine to use as a regular cleanser if you use it with something else for actual makeup removal.

I started using this after being fed up with Cetaphil and other “sensitive skin” cleansers.
I don’t know…its scented, it has mineral oil…A LOT of it. It’s mostly oil and water. It *does* remove makeup, my goodness its mostly mineral oil! Unless you’re wearing that cake that doesn’t come off unless you scrub this is a great gentle cleanser. I’m a little worried because it has so much petroleum but I know three people who use this and they have beautiful, moist, clear skin. So I’m giving it a try. Update in a week
**UPDATE** This cleaner is mineral oil based and I have always heard that its bad, suffocate your skin, so on. I was really desperate when I tried it because my skin was so dry. It looks a lot smoother and plumper. I have also been using tolerance extreme cream by Avene. Update when the tube of Vichy is gone
***UPDATE*** While this cleanser did keep my skin moist and supple it clogged my pores like nothing else. It’s not the mineral oil, there is a myristate ester high up in the ingredients. This ester has a low molecular weight and penetrates the skin. This caused irritation for me and blocked pores. That’s why mineral oil can’t clog your pores; its molecular weight is greater than 500 daltons.

I’ve just received a 100ml sample of this, before it arrived I thought due to the Purete it would be for blemish prone skins but no, it’s for sensitive, Woo hoo 🙂
Then booooooo….. 🙁
Second ingredient is mineral oil. Every time I’ve broken out with large red spots it’s been mineral oil. I had nasty cheek spots about a year ago after Garnier changed their cleaner formula and forgot to tell anyone, yup they added mineral oil. Boots moisturising mask, ELF blusher. Common denominator is always mineral oil.
TL:DR – Contains mineral oil.

This cleanser is amazing for sensitive, dry skin! It claims it is a 3 in 1, so a cleansing milk, toner, and makeup remover.
I paid $20 for it at shoppers drug mart (Canada) which is actually cheap for a vichy product which I’ve paid $40+ for other products. Plus it came in a special size bottle (30% more!) so I can’t complain about the price, but of course vichy products are going to cost more than the average drugstore brand, but if you’ve got sensitive/dry skin, a higher end brand like vichy is the way to go! Also clinique and avene, and la Roche possay are very gentle high end brands that are great for sensitive skin. But they’ll cost u…
I use it AFTER I’ve washed my face (with spectro/cetaphil) like a toner/moisturizer, and I smooth it over with my hands (don’t use a cotton pad, I tried it and it wastes product). It says rinsing is not required, but if I use too much by accident, I will splash a small amount of water over my face after applying this and gently pat it dry with a towel, trying not to completely rinse/wipe it all off. But! If I use less of the product, I don’t rinse, and it gives amazing results either way (better NOT to rinse and let it dry )
As a makeup remover, it works great, not amazing, but it certainly helps get it off. I have makeup remover so I don’t use this for that purpose, but as a cleanser/toner and I’m soooo glad I found it! I’ll be a customer for life! It hydrates better than most face creams, try it! You’ll see how soft, supple, healthy, hydrated, and refreshed your skin looks and FEELS! It’s incredibly soothing, especially right now in the winter months (soooo dryyyy)
This stuff is holy grail for me. Yes, I don’t use it as a makeup remover, and I wash my face first before using this, so I guess for me it’s like a cleansing moisturizer/toner. I always moisturize after cleansing my face, but this with stuff I don’t HAVE to, the tight irritated feeling is gone after I use this.
Nevertheless, I can’t finish my cleansing routine without this, it’s like a miracle potion for my skin! It doesn’t burn (skin or eyes) and it’s great for travel! You can wash your face without water or a towel so it’s great as a cleanser if you’re in a pinch!

While I do like this cleanser, I *probably* won’t repurchase. It removes face makeup OK, but I find that I need extra cleansing for eye makeup. I normally use a makeup removing wipe (Yes to Cucumbers), then this, and my normal cleanser, so the fact it doesn’t remove ALL makeup in the first go isn’t a huge thing to me. That said, though, this cleanser is great for when I’m too tired to go through the whole process of washing my face, I just use this, and I feel OK going to bed. I have pretty dry skin, and when I use only this, I don’t feel like I need to use a moisturizer, and that’s nice to find in a simple cleanser like this. For that reason, I’m on the fence about repurchasing.
It has a slight, pleasant scent to it which I quite like. It’s very milky and smooth without being watery — I normally apply it with my hands and wipe it off with either a cotton pad or a muslin cloth, instead of applying it with a cotton pad. I fear that applying it to my skin with a cotton pad would waste product, and this one isn’t cheap, for something drugstore, so I don’t want it being wasted. With my hands, I use about a dime size amount and massage it all over my face.

I wanted to try a cream based cleanser because I find some of the gels quite harsh, especially in Autumn/Winter. Since I have such great results & love the Vichy moisturiser so much, I thought this would be a great complimentary product.
Ive got to say though, Im with all the other ladies that have reviewed this product & said it hasn’t really worked AND left them feeling oily/with a film. Ive had the same experience. I really wanted to like this product but I just cant get past the way it does not clean off makeup as advertised & that it leaves this oily film. After washing my face, I like to have it feel like its squeaky clean & maybe thats not a good thing, maybe it is, but its what I like & feel is really cleansing.
A real pity because I paid EUR14,99 for this & its hardly used. I might just use it as a body wash until its done.
So, no recommendation from me.
BTW, I have very dry skin!!

I really liked the feel and smell of this cleanser, but unfortunately it just did not clean my skin even after removing makeup first. After a while I had a build up of clogged pores and blackheads. I think it would be lovely for drier skinned people, but not for oily or acne prone skin.

It’s a real shame that this product didn’t work out for me and I think that I’ve reviewed it as 2 lippies rather harshly to be honest but with good reason.
It’s just the fact that this cleanser, as nice as it is didn’t cleanse my skin properly. It left my skin feeling like it had a film on it, i’m guessing this is by design because it is supposed to do 3 things in 1 – i appreciate the effort but the execution is very poor. It didn’t take my makeup off and when i swiped my face with toner (a test I do on all new cleansers to find my feet with them i guess) half my makeup was still on.
Typically i massage cleanser around my face for around 60 seconds to properly dissolve it but this didn’t seem to make a difference with this product at all and i’m really disappointed.
It smells really nice, you get a good amount and it’s gentle around your eyes but it just doesn’t do anything. I hope they reconsider the formula because if they make it a more effective cleanser I will happily buy it again, I first purchased this in Paris when I ran out of cleanser and needed a new one (that and any excuse to go into a french pharmacy!).
For reference my skin is clog prone and i get hormonal acne so I like to feel like my skin is fresh and clean but without being stripped. If you have normal skin and don’t wear much makeup then I bet you would love this.

I like this cleanser but I don’t love it. It’s gentle to skin but it doesn’t really take off all makeup and definitely not all eye makeup. It’s ok but I wouldn’t re-buy

I love this cleanser! The texture is super nice, since it’s milk cleanser. When I use it, I feel that my skin is hydrated. I also love the smell because it’s not too perfumed. It also let just enough product out. The packaging is nice overall but it could be better. The only thing is that I find it a bit pricey. After all, it is a very good product.
