I actually like this gel cleanser particularly during the warmer months. It gently cleanse the skin effortlessly and doesn’t leave skin feeling dry or tight. You don’t need much either. Given the price of this product and the cost of NuSkin’s 180 Cleanser, Pure Cleansing Gel is much better value and a much better product.

It’s not PH balanced. Right after washing my face with this cleanser, my skin feels fresh and smooth. My face produce more oil with using this cleanser. I’ve found my favorite cleanser, which is Cetaphil cleanser for normal to oily skin.

For me, Nuskin Pure Cleansing Gel is a miracle worker, as far as a long-standing milia seed was concerned. I think the papain enzyme (papya enzyme) in the product did it, and how it managed to do so still amazes me today. You see, I had one of those annoying whitehead/milia seed oil clogs on the upper part of my cheekbone, near the nose, for the longest time. No facialist/beautician could pop that as it was so painful to do so. No matter how much masks and pimple cream I put on it, hoping that I would be able to soften it and pop it off, I wasn’t successful. Until Nuskin pure cleansing gel came along. When I first got the bottle, I had read that papaya enzymes were very effective at dissolving skin cells. So I left on a bit of it on my face while I took my shower. At the end of the shower, I would then put more cleanser on and cleaned my face the usual way, with some cotton wool squares. It took only 4 days of using this cleanser, when on the 5th day, the milia seed began to feel dry, and while wiping off the cleanser on the 5th day, the seed actually popped off. I couldn’t believe it, as I thought I would have to live with the ugly blob. Subsequently, I went on to use this cleanser as a regular cleanser, and it did clear all those little bumps. Today however, I switch between 3 types of facial cleansers, as I’ve found that to use 1 type for more than 2 bottles often will render it less effective. Today I use Nuskin’s gel cleanser whenever I need to get rid of any stubborn whiteheads, especially on the nose – I would leave a layer on, rather like a mask, then go back after about 10 mins to put on more and clean it out with cotton squares. After a few days of doing so, you find that your whiteheads will loosen up and you can then easily squeeze it off.
UNFORTUNATELY, the price of Nuskin is ridiculous (at least in Singapore). So this isn’t as regular a use for me – but it’s effective enough to use as a whitehead remover, and yes, I do replace it once it’s finished.
