My favorite oil for removing makeup is Burt’s Bees. That stuff is amazing. I was running out of the product and was going to repurchase when I saw this Pur oil on sale at Kohl’s for $9.60. I grabbed it up to try. This is a much thicker consistency than Burt’s Bees, but for the price it is an excellent deal. I ordered two more bottles online
Since this is a thick formula, it is a bit more work to remove foundation. The photo is a pump, this newer bottle is like a shampoo bottle. I will cup my hand and add roughly teaspoon into my hand, press both hands together to disperse the product. Then apply to my face and then in circular motions rub product onto face and then eyes. My foundation and mascara are waterproof and it takes some patience to get the oil to breakdown the products on my face.
I will then jump into the shower and wash my face with soap and then use an Olay daily facial to remove the rest of the mascara and foundation.. There is always something leftover.
I completed one bottle and working on the second bottle. I noticed that the first bottle leaks and thought it was just the bottle, nope, the second bottle leaks too. There is something about the container that no matter what product pools under the bottle. Be mindful of your storage location.

Hate this product. Followed instructions in applying the oil, and was having trouble in removing my foundation. Makes my skin feel too oily (have acne prone skin along with oily to combo). Had to keep going back for more product. Not worth the cash and definitely not worth trying.

This review is for what I believe is the same product listed, although the packaging and product name seems to have changed. The product I have is called Pür Minerals Melt Away Makeup Emulsifier and it is no longer in a pump bottle.
It is the least favorite cleansing oil I have tried. It doesn’t remove my eye makeup very well and leaves a residue.

This product works. However, I have had multiple issues with it already and I have only used it once.
Unwrapping:
It came packaged inside a bubble wrap “pocket”–you know the one with the sticky closure strip on the top? The bottle didn’t completely fit in the pouch so they stuck the strip on the bottle cap. Now, if anyone has ever opened one of these pouches before, that strip is extremely sticky. It left several large remnants of sticky goo all over the top of the cap which made it impossible to open. After some scrubbing and a few chipped nails later–I finally got it off. Awful!
Packaging:
The bottle is not right for this kind of product. It is one of those “flip top” type caps and the liquid inside is a heavy thick oil, so every time you open it, or it happens to fall on its side, or any other position that is not upright, LEAKAGE! Awful x2!!
Application and product:
Application was pretty self explanatory and simple enough to do. Removed a lot of the makeup and even made removing fake lashes easier to remove instead of peeling it off. Got rid of most of the glue as well which was nice. However, the product had a very strong musky scent which I wasn’t into at all.
Ingredients:
Unfortunately, I seem to have had an allergic reaction to this product which is not the fault of the company. The ingredients are great and natural–but this is just a forewarning for those that might have ultra sensitive skin. I have combination skin with a tendency to break out with anything fragranced (even naturally fragranced), and have shown any reaction to products which were supposed to be hypo-allergenic.
This was unfortunate because I really wanted to LOVE this product–but didn’t. I did not like the oily feel it left–it was too thick of a feeling and made my skin feel dingy. Not recommended.

I LOVE trying new oils to clean my face so I was excited to try Mineral Melt, recommended by the SA at Ulta. I always follow up with a regular gentle cleanser because I’m a wee bit OCD and I am petrified of breaking out if I don’t. I love the packaging of this oil, the pump saves me from spilling it in the shower. I have no issues with this NOT removing my mascara, I just gently rub my eyes in a downward motion. It does remove 99% of my makeup, but again, I do follow with a cleanser and the a final rub with some jojoba oil to replenish any moisture lost from my excessive routine. The pros about Mineral Melt are 1) the pump, 2) the scent. LOVE IT! 3) cleansing ability. AND the negitives~ PRICE. Ouch. I can get jojoba oil at Whole Foods for 6 bucks and it comes with a decent amount. I do find that Mineral Melt is not as concentrated and more watery than jojoba oil, so I find myself using more. I just bought the bottle 3 days ago and its 1/4 gone. I like the PUR Mineral line. I have a few items, a bronzer, spray tonic, the mineral makeup and the correcting primer and I am pleased with all of them. PUR makes the best compact mineral makeup BY FAR. Will I repurchase? If I have the money. If it came with more product for 20 bucks, I would def buy again.

So I was running out of my beloved MAC Cleanse off oil & I saw this oil cleanser at my local Ulta & decided to try it. Well, this is so much different than MAC’s in that it does not take off my eye makeup. I have been using oil cleansers for a while now, so I know how to use them properly, dry hands, dry face, massage & rinse off. I do the same process with all oil cleansers & this one is truly bad. It is oilier than all the others I have tried (DHC, Shiseido, MAC, Origins) & the worst thing is that this leaves me with the blackest racoon eyes after I have rinsed it off. It does not remove mascara or eyeliner, in fact I have to always use an eye makeup remover after I use this. I wish I could return it because it is a waste of my time & makes me use more steps than I need. All of that & the fact that it was $20 for a 4 oz. bottle (making it $5 for 1 oz) , when MAC’s is $24 for 5 oz. (making it $4.80 for 1 oz), so MAC’s is cheaper & much better in the long run. I would not ever recommend & will not repurchase.

I use this product as my eye makeup remover. Like its name says it just melts off products…..it works on everthing even non mineral hard to remove mascara and liners. The trick is to leave on for 10 to 15 seconds before washing off.. This makeup remover can be used on its own for cleansing but I like to use it first for hard to remove eye makeup then I use my face cleanser. I love this stuff. Best makeup remover I have used.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the way this product 1) removed my make up (both eye and face makeup) so easily and quickly and 2.) left my skin feeling hydrated, smooth, and soft. I massaged it into my skin (so relaxing) and then gently wiped it away using a warm wash cloth. Great product for removing any type of make up!
