This is my absolute favorite cleanser. I love the natural plant ingredients and the earthy scent. The consistency is smooth and silky and it lathers very well. My skin feels clean and silky after cleansing with it. I have dry skin, but this does not strip all the moisture away. It’s very calming. I usually follow it up with the Juice Beauty antioxidant serum and then the nutrient moisturizer. It makes for a wonderful and nourishing plant-based skincare routine. I would recommend this calming herbal cleanser.

The Plantscription Anti-Aging Cleanser did not meet my expectations based on its purported anti-aging benefits. I used this for about 6-7 mos every single day before I decided I was deluding myself with its ‘benefits’. I received this as a gift because everyone knows all I use and have used for almost 10 years is Origins. I was excited because I’ve mostly used Checks and Balances over the years, but I did not feel this performed NEARLY as well as C&B (my HG cleanser).
1) it felt like any old cleanser while washing; no different than any cleanesr 2) my face did not glow or appear radiant or youthful 3) during my astringent wipe down post-wash, my cotton pad would be FULL of brown grime from dead skin and makeup. Please understand that I wear very light makeup—under eye concealer and light blush on my face (I take eye makeup off prior to washing). I was very disappointed initially but thought I was doing it ‘wrong’ somehow ha. I would compare it to days when I washed with Checks and Balances and there was simply no comparison; C&B cleans my face and Plantscription Anti-Aging Cleanser did not perform appropriatelt as a cleanser.
It receives a 2 star rating from me because it did somewhat clean my skin; it did not break me out, it did not dry out my skin, I was not allergic to it, and nothing bad happened other than my friend wasting their money.
