I love this facial cleanser. It is very much a no frills. It has a nice gel texture that spreads across damp skin easily. A little goes a long way.
It is very mild foaming. Dont expect big bubbles with this!
The smell is a little weird. Almost like a mens cologne. But once you get used to it it really is not bad at all.
The packaging is very basic. Sturdy and functional. No issues with the pump so far
Onto the performance!
I find that this removed my foundation with ease. I used to do a double cleanse with oil and cleanser to remove my makeup. But i find that I dont need to do that with this cleanser unless I am wearing layers of waterproof makeup. It leaves my skin clean and refreshed feeling, without being overly drying. Mayyybe a little tight. But very smooth and not irritated.
Cost is reasonable. About 8 to 9 dollars for a bottle.
All in all I think i have found a staple in my skincare routine.

I’ve only used this a week. I believe the old bottle used to say it had 2% salicylic acid in it and now it no longer says that so I don’t know exactly how much is in it. I like that this particular pHisoderm cleanser doesn’t have sulfates or parbens like their others do. I also like that it has lactic acid which is kind of hard to find in products, which is good for clogged pores, acne and keratosis pilaris. But since it’s listed as the very last ingredient, there’s a lot more fragrance than lactic acid, so who knows if it even does much. The fragrance in this is rather strong and it smells a bit odd and medicinal. It almost smells like a men’s fragrance. It’s a gel cleanser that foams decently, removing all my makeup. My skin was pretty dry and tight afterwards though. To begin with, my skin was pretty dry and peeling from the cold January weather so on the 5th day of using this, it started to burn my skin pretty bad. My skin is usually uber-oily so I know this is going to be okay any other season, so I might hold off on this until then.
