This is a great, effective but gentle cleanser – but I agree with the previous reviewers who had problems with the packaging. I also found it extremely annoying. For me, the pump always worked for dispensing one portion of the cleanser – but then, if I needed a bit more product because of heavy makeup for example, the second time, it would just not dispense any more product. For a product this expensive, I really think they should use a more customerfriendly packaging. Or at least, packaging that works. Now, the cleanser itself is really wonderful – I have rosacea, so I often have quite much redness to deal with. The cleanser didn´t only remove all my makeup very effectivly, but seemed to calm my skin on contact. When I rinsed it away, my skin was calm and looked smooth and clear. Really nice, I didn´t see this effect with any other cleanser. The cleanser itself would get a 5 lippies rating, but I deduct 2 lippies for the annoying pump and also for the very high price. Yes, I would buy it again – but only if they changed the packaging.

My skin is oily/dehydrated, very clog prone and reactive
I purchased the smaller size and hate the packaging. It’s nice that it’s in a pump, but the pump doesn’t always work well and I don’t like that I can’t tell how much product is left. Also, all the lettering on the bottle is gone on mine; I assume it’s from the product transferring from my hands to the bottle and removing the ink. As for the product itself, it’s just ok for me. I can’t use it daily as I find it clogs my skin, but I do like to use it occasionally (a couple times a month) in the morning when my skin is dehydrated. While it does not seem to irritate my skin personally, it has some potentially irritating essential oils (like lavender) that I assume are for fragrance only as they do not offer any skin care benefits. Surprisingly, this does not remove heavy makeup either (but it removes the lettering from the bottle!). I’m trying to use it up as it was a bit on the pricey side, but I will not repurchase and I generally don’t recommend it due to the essential oils.

This is a review for the 200ml bottle costing £35. At first I thought great, larger bottle will last me a bit longer but after a while pump stopped pumping the cleanser. Anyone would think it was finished but I cut the bottle open (it cannot be unscrewed) and found the packaging inside consisted of the bag filled with lotion and a pump with a short straw. Half a cleanser still in there but I cannot get it out as the packaging failed. The bag shrivelled as there is no air to go in and would not let the cream flow out. No one has tested the whole bottle it seems. Good cream overall and I like it but I cannot give it more than 2 stars due to the fact I wasted money on something I cannot use now. Be careful if you purchased a big bottle. I think smaller one has a different system but I will be careful to check. I might go back to Liz Earle as her bottles work much better.
